I think it's a great game and the developers are trying their best to get the bugs sorted many times my truck that I'd just repaired hit a invisible pothole and had to repair again but overall it is an unique game for me it's a 9/10

Very solid base for a game ai like most games is probably one of the hardest things to get right even Ets and ats AI still has a lot of problems one thing I'd like is that is more like mini games so to say with the repairs like having to undo bolts and that stuff

Would love to see ai big rigs on the map.... a variety of styles, colours and trailers being hauled would be really cool.... I find it quite immersive breaking that you're the only truck driver in the whole state. Truck driver got the same criticism

Reminds me of Hard truck 2 King of the road. I still play that game today. I played ETS2 but it's somewhat boring, the "AI" just like here is just cars following a path like a train and they just stop if you cut their path. Where in HT2 a 23 year old game the AI actually tries to avoid you, not great but it tries and it makes it more interesting. I also love that they have specific damage that you can repair, HT2 also had a damage system where you could wear your breaks and you'd notice in driving, you could blow out a tire and still try and drive, you could damage steering and the truck would pull to one side. Where as in ETS2 with all their constant annoying updates that break your saves they still only have a % damage and I didn't notice much apart from losing a gear or two and the engine would randomly stop, like really that's all you can come up with. And off road driving, in HT2 you could go off road and find hidden paths. ART also lets you go off road but then stops you after a while where as ETS2 is like NOPE invisible wall fck you. I hope Alaskan Road Truckers shows how a truck sim should be like

I cant reach winter in the game ther is a bug when coming to early fall and sleep you wake up in spring they will patch that soon they say

Well it’s got much better on Steam Deck as the weeks gone on it’s a lot more smooth and stable with the auto graphics than it was.

I don't own a pc so haven't played it Jason, so it all on with watching your videos, the game may not be where a lot of people want it,but I think it's encouraging that they're taking action with the issues you've flagged and quick, where other devs have abandoned their game or dismissed feedback.

Definitely agree! I’ve had an absolute blast playing this game, really really enjoying it. Being able to get out of your truck, walk around, and hook up. Your trailer really adds to the experience for me. The AI is my biggest complaint as most of us already know, really excited for that to get tuned up.but overall, very happy, really enjoying the game so far and looking forward to the future roadmap!

Hey GameTechUK . I agree with everything you said here , I run the same graphics card as yourself and occasionally have a little stutter with virtual mirrors on . A bit of optimization here and there and the game will be console ready :) Devs are doing gods work ! Great video - Thank you

The Speed at which they release updates is astounding. I think this game has the possibility to rival and even overtake ETS2 and ATS in the future. The developers are really hard at work. kudos to them.

Problems I've had is automatic transmission won't shift out of 3rd gear. Was at the end of summer and the season was restarted to the beginning of the season, and the workshop glitch where I had to restart the game and when I got back in everything on the truck was broken. When fixed the truck the suspension was still broken even though it was fixed, so had to restart the game and the ai traffic of course. I'm not giving up on the game, hopefully it gets better, I am enjoying it.

I really love the game. Even with those pesky bugs but the Devs are working hard to make this game great. Looking forward for the future of this game.

With ats & ets it will be a tought act to follow but fair play thay are doing a great job👍👍

Needs a lot of work. Graphics, Wheel and pedal compatibility, Truck models, outside views that studder. Great concept if they can fix these issues.

what would you say the status is pr today in april 24`? I was so looking forward to this game in early development but hesitated and then saw reviews, I want it, but reviews and comments on steam makes me say no......

Jason played this on GeForce now for 3 hours i got the odd car overturned but apart from that not to bad

Unreal Engine can feature an extra set-up called cinematic if Epic is to low for your system the developers could bring that back for those who GPU is not struggling... With it being a manual choice to push the cinematic button.

Would of loved to play this but none of my peripherals would be recognized (Thrustmaster TS-PC racer, TH8A Gear stick, T-LCM Pedals(USB connected),TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod, MAN Truck SKRS). I have G-Hub running as I have the G903 mouse + Powerplay charging mat but no matter what I tried I couldn't get any response ingame. I think I will revisit again at a later date when the direct input side is intergrated correctly... Had to refund for now but I will watch it's progression closely.

just got into these trucking sims a couple of weeks ago, already spent alot on ATS and ETS2, really want something decent that is on the console. Fortunately my sony tv will let me stream steam games to the TV so i've been playing ATS that way. but i'd really like a good truck sim on the console itself. i have avoided ART so far... i think for now i may as well continue to do so until some more fixes come along. My main gripe with ATS is the ai, and every 'realistic traffic' mod has it's own issues. Sounds like the ai in ART will drive me nuts... IMO next to the actual driving aspect, the AI is the next biggest item which can make or break the immersion, and if anything drives me away from these games.. it will likely be the ai traffic.

there was a few other things that was annoying the guidance system can be very sketchy especially when you get to delivery and pickup points not showing where your supposed to go driving view keeps going to top of wheel after few minutes the damage of cargo seems to be very touchy the 100% go's down from the slightest thing sometimes seems to drop to 99% just leaving pickup point defiantly no ETS-ATS game yet the steering is shocking when using joystick but still fun

My g920 stop working on sunday after the update. And i did the latest update Logitech g hub. But it doesn’t work.

Also could you imagine a game like this in VR I’m a big VR fan I think this would be something else

I play it on 4K with epic settings on Geforce Now, no PC but on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro, performance wise it's fine, a little stutter here & there. It's refreshing getting out the cab, filling up, connecting hoses etc. I play ETS2 & ATS too, using an xbox controller, it's buttery smooth. In Alaskan though I'm fighting the steering constantly, massive oversteer does need sorting. Imaginary potholes, 90yr old drivers everywhere, instant 55mph to 15mph back to 55mph road signs, makes little sense and jolts me out of the experience. The controller deadzones etc there are no settings so I can't refine it. But otherwise I'm in for the long haul 😂

I couldn't steer. I could walk fine but in the truck it didn't recognise the triggers or joy stick. Tried with a PS5 and Xbox controller, even uninstalled and installed again but nothing worked. Steam gave me a refund.

100% agree with all points, I only have a 1070 and chosen to refund within 2hrs due to the quality of graphics.

Hi gameteck it is still a excellent game and with so many patches im sure the developers will eventually get the game running perfectly and all the bugs ironed out for when it arrives on console

Hi I agree with you the updates have come every day . The first few days I at to restart from the beginning. But now thay have fixed the save issue it's not so bad. Me personally I still think it's worth every penny, you can't get much for £18.50 these days

Thanks for the update. I’m one of those console players waiting patiently on this game. It’s good to hear the Devs are listening to feedback. The winter mode looks amazing. I’m really excited to play this and I’m happy they have held back the release on console for now. Working on the PC and bringing out patches seems like a sensible thing to do. I just need to be patient which is hard because I so want a good trucking game on console and I want it now lol Great video as always

Im also experiencing my gaming pc heating up more than my other games even though ijust bought my new gaming pc windows 11 everything is up graded but still over heats than if i play my other games wich dont over heat. Is that something do with game itself or what? Cause i was told if i lower the fps on the game then it might help but the game wont let me save the change from no limit to 120, 90 or 60

Hi I have had this since day one and I can’t change the fps every time I change it it jumps back to no limit i have tried everything when I get to some job destinations they have disappeared

5600x@4.7 & 6800xt@2500/2100.32gb 3600 ram. Triple screen fps in 30s at medium graphics. Single monitor 1080p mix if high medium. 60 fps with often drops to 35-40 and big stutters. Love concept but not optimized for amd at all.

I don't no you can call it a bug but there a bug ware you can't change the accelerator and brake controller bindings to a and b I find using the triggers awkward

This game should have been released as early access in it's current state. The latest bug, the game crashing when you finally arrive in winter is just not excusable and a real game breaker for me. I am not that optimistic about them fixing all the issues any day soon. Also the roadmap they probably have that to keep us interested in the game and not abandon it right now. After all, it took them 5 years to get to this point, it's not realistic to expect them to put these extras in the game soon. I am sorry but I do not share your enthusiasm and the optimistic outlook on the future of this game. Time will tell who's right however.

I tried it again last night on steam deck after the 5 patches. It still looks horrendous but it was running at around 30fps on medium settings. Im going to put it back to bed for a few more patches. I can live with the fps but the graphics are unplayable, looks like im on the N64.

Hi Jason, I've yet to buy the game, it looks absolutely what I'm looking for in terms of player immersion and driving, I might buy it tomorrow, we'll see how the wages pan out after i've paid all the bills lol.

I was personally overwhelmed with the patches and such. I had plenty of trucking to do for ETS2 anyway to get temporary goodies. So I haven't played it much since the release. I'll get back to it laten on. Hauloween is coming tomorrow 🎃👻 🤪 Also life is unpredictable and can get in the way 😅 A early access would have been a smarter in hineside 😃👍🏻

when I tried the demo like year ago, The demo didn't even have 10/13/18 speed eaton fuller transmission, which are know WORLD wide. Also the truck don't seem have turbo or jake/engine brake. Did you see any option for jake brake/engine brake? Also my G29 wheel and TH8a Shifter/add on shifter didn't work. As said there was no option even map out 10/13/18 speed transmission, Wtf? Also real trucks don't rev up 2600+ rpm, Most turbo diesel engine have rpm limiter around 2100 2400 rpm max for cumming x15 engine. I wonder if any dev have actually been in semi truck or if they actually hired ex truck driver. There got some cool game features that I wish were in ATS. Good video, hopefully this game gets better but imo feel like huge miss as per steam reviews, every feel off, truck driving feel way off. Rest game mechanics look good.

I’ve got to say that I’ve not played this myself, but from what I’ve seen on stream, and how the devs are approaching these issues, I’ve got to say that your take seems spot on. Encouraging signs, a defined road map, and a very interesting take on trucking. The big thing for me will be the console release, and if they can replicate what I hope will be a tight PC game by release. If so, they should be on to a winner. 👍

The game has improved, undoubtedly in my opinion. It was just a bad decision to release it now, but they are heading in the right direction.

State of the game, it's a mess. Horrible handling, looks like a 2014 game, gameplay sub standard. The fact they release 5 patches in a week is worrying as well as impressive. The game wasn't ready. Getting out of the truck was a nice novelty,but that quickly wore off. It's a bare bones game,the handling of the truck is truly god awful. The map isn't enjoyable,large parts of nothing and roads are terrible to drive. Stay the hell away if you value your money

When truck driver came out he said it was a shit and now he’s saying that about this game. I hope you’re not just gonna smoke up her butt.

Obviously these types of companies don't have the brains to make a game on consoles, so why take years to release a game if when they release it everything is broken, obviously I know the answer: they want dollars quickly, I'll stick with snow runner, the best game there is.
