Good point. I love Hunt to death but sometimes i want to not have a heart attack. This looks like it carries some elements over while catering more to the Destiny/Warframe players. Interested to try this, especially playing solo, I wonder if it'll boil down to a shoot on site mindset

Well, since 99 percent of the f2p games are p2w and i rather paying the game instead paying more to play it the way it meant to be played, fingers crossed tho, i hope they only sell cosmetics, i am sick of those “pay to gain faster” bullshit which is worse than directly paying to gain power over skill.

@@disrespank Have you ever looked into the lore surrounding vault hunting? Then you'd be aware that in the story, vault hunters are as directly competitive and back stabbing as they are in The Cycle, which is something you don't experience in Borderlands itself for gameplay reasons, but it happens in the back story and universe.

Was interested until hearing all the obvious BR mechanics. Boring. Would probably play the game for an hour or 2 then drop it for good.

@@Ancestralsword8 Saying that it's a BR is very misleading. There are BR-esque mechanics, but it goes beyond that. I think the best comparison is the Dark Zone one made in the video. It's that PvEvP game mode, with uneasy alliances and more structured matches (as opposed to the Dark Zone in Division where you either run around, aimlessly killing NPC or ganking).

@@Ancestralsword8 I mean, it's in an extremely early alpha right now, so it's probably a lot more barebones/rough than it wants to be by launch, but even then, I'd disagree with that. Sure, you can choose to play it like a BR and go around ganking everyone, but there are enough objectives (with more to be added/refined, I'm hoping?) to have other means of playing/winning. It's like saying that the DZ or Escape from Tarkov are BRs when they aren't. Like, they both have PvP elements that remind you of a BR (Escape from Tarkov, especially), but it's got enough twists to where it's its own thing. EDIT: If nothing else, I'm sure you can sign up for a key and play it as it goes through its dev cycle. Maybe you'll hate it now, enjoy it later down the road. Or vice versa.

@@JustArcher19 I assume he means that when you and another player go for the same objective you could negotiate through voice chat as if you were there in person, increasing the immersion, as you try to guess if he's lying when he says he wants to team up and he's not gonna shoot you.

Proximity chat makes pvp games more fun so you aren't forced to party but can still hear if you are close enough to someone

IT seems complicated but its pretty basic and straightforward when you actually get into game. Kill monsters for money , Finish missions, reach ship before timer ends.

agree. he said that you only die once and that will cause players to be more risk averse, but that's not true. the more skilled players won't be taking risks since they can win firefights easier. it'll never be a truce.

You should play the game before you judge it. In all the matches I've played I ended up make truces each and every time and never did I or the other person betray it.There is near no point to breaking the truce and killing the other player.

betray is not that easy, there is a cool down when you decide to betray so the player can get far away to be safe from you. plus is the same game you can team up with different players whenever you want. maybe you joined a bad player, he got killed out of position, you decline his cooperation and join someone better and so on. i tried the game and it is fun.

You have not played the game so you can not assume anything. I play it. and that for other squads. you get your own squad. and can choose to Allie with other squads. If you don't want that happening just play with your squad and kill other squads on sight. its not saying your own squad can turn on you.

Not only PvP - there are different ways to play the game! You can also focus on PvE and try to avoid PvP. 😊

@@TheCycleGame On paper it looks great, but in practice in only takes a handful of really skilled PVP veterans to dominate everyone. I could do the mob killing or missions, but in the end each game would end for me by getting obliterated by some kind of PVP monster. All of BR games had the same issue and your game, although it's not BR, is no different. Once you get a proper playerbase PVP players will be only hunting PVE players as that will be their main attraction and after a while of sealclubbing PVE-fans will demand/plea for PVE servers.

@@MrDeothor That's exactly one of the things we are aware of and are still working on, because we want to support different playstyles. For example there are different abilities like the Cloaking Device or gadgets like the Recall Teleporter that can be used to avoid PvP situations. 😊

I'll respond to you as best as I can respond to everyone else saying this kinds stuff, if you played and spent money on fortnite, you helped EGS, you fed the beast, now care for it. Steam isn't doing hot right now for what it's worth, and if epic had 3/4ths what steam has in terms of overall consumer friendliness, your ass would not be saying anything in youtube comments about it right now. Ancestral I agree with you, but people don’t bash EGS because they’re loyal to steam, they bash EGS because EGS pays off developers to make their game exclusive on their shitty, undeveloped platform.

People don't bash EGS because they're loyal to Steam, or because they're lazy to install and register in a new platform. We probably all have like at least 5-6 accounts on different platforms already, but so what? We're used to it, most of us probably already have an EGS account as well. The problems with EGS are that it's both inferior and the true opposite of costumer friendly. It just doesn't even try to compete with Steam on costumer service level. And we as customers at the very least should use our voice in a situation like this. Reasons it's being inferior: lack of voice chat, ingame chat, ingame platform opening thing(shift+tab on steam), achievements item trading, user review system, family account share system, Reasons it's being un costumer friendly: No refunds after STARTING THE DOWNLOAD, gosh on Steam you can play 2 hours and refund the game with no explanation other than "I didn't enjoy it." They directly stated "developers will decide which platform they prefer" they literally don't give a damn about their customers, not mentioning the fact that they have an absolute non-gaming Asian company with forty-something percent shareholdings. They leaked account informations that they gathered from people who linked their Steam accounts which they wasn't even supposed to gather in the first place. It has share account information by default (which is illegal in Europe for obvious reasons) and so on. If you don't care about the platform war it's cool man, I understand your point but when a super-hyped bad game like anthem only comes on EGS, and you'll only see the cool fake trailers, which both you and your brother or wife or kid will buy too in order to play it together, so you're going to buy it 2 times. Where on Steam only one would've been enough, and if you don't like it you can still have it refunded. But guess what, even before that you would see the 2/10 user rating which would make you don't even go close to that pile of crap.

I don't think Epic Games Store will work, i've just seen so many computers where it didn't work. I also think it's annoying to have so many different game launchers, why not just have one. So i think that the majority of the people playing on Steam will stay on Steam because of it. I also don't like the fact that Blizzard Intertainment have their own launcher aswell, but atleast it makes more sense because it's only their's/Activision's games there are on it. The Epic Games Store and Steam Store are more like libraries for games and have no reason to only have the games on either one of the libraries.

That's one of the main attractions for me and most other people. And that's where the replayability comes from, you're not supposed to get so attached to a single match that you don't wanna leave/win it lol.
