All of the Messengers of Allah were Prophets, but not all of the Prophets were Messengers. The difference between a Prophet and Messenger is that a Messenger is sent with a new set of rules or the abrogation of some rules revealed to the Messenger before him. As for the Prophet who is not also a Messenger, he is sent with the same rules as the Messenger before him. But both the Prophets and the Messengers were ordered to convey what was revealed to them and did so. And all of them called to the same belief in one God, the creator of everything, who is not need of anything nor does he resemble anything.
