What is the difference between DJ and music producer (in 1 minute)

@@DexxterClarkMusic yes but you were talking about making beats on a computer in the video and I read your pdf file and nothing in there mentions the role and Definition of a Producer nor you mention anything about managing the recording process. Not every Producer uses a DAW either as *Sean Diddy Combs* is a hands off Producer that works along side a Pro-tools recording Engineer that sits behind the mixing board directing and calling the shots trying to get good vocals out of some body. Hes not necessarily the guy that program beats. Diddy has previously worked with the same group of people I work with in the studio a male R&B group that was put together by the late *Gerald Levert* before he passed. *Dr. Dre* is infamous for being a perfectionist as he doesn't just sit around all day and just program and make instrumental tracks, he's a Record Producer like Quincy Jones that has a vision for the song that collaborates and gathers his team of musicians, writers to orchestrate a song togther. When a Rapper or Singer is in the booth, Dre is coaching and directing thier performances. He will make you do another take until he hears it right. Having a great and being a perfectionist is a common trait of a great Producer. *"Once you finished making a beat, you have to produce the record" - Dr. Dre*

Actually they are more comparable to a movie producer* in the film industry but good explanation.

@@valentina7182 Yeah but they are like a movie director as well because a Record Producer aka Music Producer directs and guides the session. They coach the Artist and Musician when talking through a talk back mic in the control room. The Artist is like the Actor/Actress while the Producer is like the Director.

@@eman0828 No, i mean the movie producer can do direction too... the movie producer can do all that stuff that u are sayin is why i say the movie producer is like the music producer... but in films a lot of times producers preffer to hire a movie director and be only the "technical guys", but actually the movie director have to follow the rules of the producer and if the producer wants to participate and do some stuff that the movie director dont wants anyways have to do it bc the producer is who have the last decision bc has the money. Anyways a lot of directors likes to produce their films and they become both and ofc not all of them are that bossy lol but i mean the music producer is more like the movie producer than the director... actually i think the music artist is more like the film director. Anyways doesnt matter i understand what are u tryin to say lol
