Thank you for the tips. I find that OpenVPN actually works with most WiFi routers, because IKEv2 and IPsec tend to be blocked by many of the more restrictive internet routers. Good, yet simple explanation. 👍
I know and use Panda VPN among VPNs that offer IKEV2 methods. I know it's a Korean company, but I'm very satisfied with it and I'm using it. I realized once again that Korea is the number one country in the IT industry.
I use my router as server so far it's good, point to point tunneling is easier. openvpn setup is a mess, try to use it but i sit on older linux so latest versions not supported so i stay with first one.
