The talmudic books are just that, books, they are not Authoritative like the Torah. This are collection of commentaries by rabbis and the trainee rabbis study these commentaries more than they study the Torah and the Tanakh. That's why in the New Testament Jesus was always arguing with the Pharisees on Torah and end bn up being called names like hypocrites and vipers and so on because they make the Laws into traditions instead of teaching the exact laws from Torah to the people. Had Pharisees studied the Tanakh they would have been ready when Jesus was born and they would have welcome their Messiah like the Three Magi did or they would have would have converted to His teachings in His Ministry. No they rejected His teachings and declared Him a blasphemer and handed over to the Romans to be crucified. His crucifixion was also prophesied and it's in the Tanakh but they did not know and they called for Jesus crucifixion. They spend their time studying the talmud less on Torah and Tanakh and they missed the most important person who came and two thousand years on they are still waiting for their Messiah.
One Torah the word of God one Talmud the word of man. Talmud states all Gentiles must be destroyed even the best of them. So is the Talmud anti Gentile?
@@daveyboy6985: That's actually NOT True! The Torah is the 5 books of Moses; the entire Hebrew Bible is called "Tanach" (although among Jews, the Tanach is sometimes referred to as "Torah"); the Talmud is the explanations and details for what is in the Tanach. The Tanach CANNOT be understood WITHOUT the Talmud. PLEASE do some honest research on this subject, so you don't continue to mislead people.
@@daveyboy6985 Talmud is mans tradition. And if you read the Old Testament and the Talmud are very different. When example is God says homosexuality and sleeping with children’s perversion. However, the Talmud says it’s OK to marry a child and basically reaper child as long as they’re three years in one day old. My Lord and savior NEVER said that in the old or New Testament. Whom will you follow? Do not be deceived.
This World don’t need Jesus Christ but justice for people! If Jesus Christ would be come back to the Earth he will also need justice otherwise they will kill him! You understand point!
Actually, no! The Hebrew scriptures tell us that the ENTIRETY of the Hebrew scriptures, INCLUDING the Talmud, were given to Moses at Mt. Sinai. The Tanach CANNOT be understood WITHOUT the Talmud, which is the descriptions and details of the Tanach.
Placing the tefillin between your eyes, that's what the verse says ,,,,but no one does that, the Talmud explains to place it on the head, above the hairline ,centered there
Thank you brother. I hope you will embrace the Truth. Jesus Christ came to die instead of me, you and everyone else so we don't have to. Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: ~1 Corinthians 15:1-4 God bless you!
In short, Torah(written) is covenant...Talmud is not...its man's creation...The Zadok line of levites were the "authorized, i.e. God ordained" keepers of Torah writings...the Rabbis of Maccabean times forced these Levites out of the Temple into Cumran exile...where John and Jesus begin their mission...in brief it was a holy insurrection
Asking as a Christian, if everything in the Torah is read through the lenses of the Mishna and Talmud, wouldn't that give these extra biblical works contextual and interpretative power over Moses and the prophets? Or do you merely treat these works as commentaries and each rabbi is free to pick and choose which authors they like over other authors? I've been listening to a couple of Rabbi's on RU-vid this week and found that their exegetical approach is laden with references to Mishna and Talmud. I'd imagine that over time you would end up with contributors to the Talmud that aren't aligned well with previous authors and that you would end up with interpretative differences as well as debates between my Rabbi vs your Rabbi and so on...
Infinite explanations and debates.. my g:d, what a life.. and no I'm not meaning to put you down even if it sounds that way.. but come on, I would say to a gentile doing the same thing, grow up, get a life..
The Talmud is one of the main reasons for the persecution of Jews throughout history. Not a coincidence that the persecution started in the 600’s or 100 years after it was compiled. According to the U.S Holocaust Memorial Museum in regards to Pope Gregory I 590-604 “He favors their becoming Christians, unsurprisingly, but demands justice in their regard under the terms of Roman Law.”
So if I get you right, the Talmud is the traditional interpretation some rabbi pen down to other generations? If Yes, How authentic it is. We’re they led by the spirit of God or how they perceived That is what Moses was actually saying? Thanks
In a nutshell 5 Books is the word of God whilst Talmud is a BS made up by men. BTW TORAH means teaching, instruction and in this sense the whole Bible is the Torah of Yah. Prov 1:8: "Hear, my son, your father’s instruction, and reject not your mother’s teaching (in hebrew TORAH)"
Twitter has become a cesspool since Elon Musk started messing with it. I followed it to a story yesterday and the antisemitic postings were really disturbing.
This gentleman seems like someone who'd be a friend. But he didn't explain any of the things written in the Talmud concerning non-Jews. An example is "kill the Gentiles", or that the Gentiles are beasts made to serve Jews, and many other derogatory statements against non-Jews.
JESUS Christ will judge us all. In this Wilderness of Evil that is planet Earth, where the highway to Hell has being opened wide, only a handful will find the narrow path to life. The pure and humble in heart who is the chosen one,are also the Hidden Ones because only God knows who they really are. Anyone can claim to be the chosen ones of God due to their love of power and to dominate the world. These are just World Worshippers, but the Hidden Ones are known of God The Father !
No offense, you know that Jesus was not a Christian, he was a Jew. He may judge his Christian followers, but remaine directly under the One God. Prase his name.
Yes, yes, he listened. I asked for uncle in the pogrom, he listened too. Only to leave my uncle die by the hand other fellow man. And during the Roman invasion, and during the Spain expulsion, and, and, and... His chosen people... 1200 butchered on 7th Oct, babies included. I am going to puke.
Are there any such passages that explicitly describe what you’re asking? No, there are not. It, however, is inferred because commandments that should be carried out are given to us in the Torah, while the “how-to” of some of those commandments is not given in the Torah. So how can we do these things if the explanation of how to perform them is not given??? One example would be the Kosher slaughtering of animals. It necessarily implies an oral tradition. But your question appears to be genuine. So to reiterate…. No, there are not clear, definite or explicit verses showing what you’re asking. But it’s implied. You could view it as a premise of faith. And virtually all arguments (even some scientific ones..I.e. “grant me one miracle and I’ll explain the rest”) have at least one “granted” point of faith. And this one is ours.
1492 . In America it is part of a rhyme about Columbus sailing the ocean blue . To a Sephardic Jew it’s the date that all Jews were driven out of Spain or forced to convert.
Sorry, I am still confused with all these unexplained titles to be able to understand their individual importance and significance let alone their collective contribution to Judaism. So please rethink how you can educate 'foreigners' wanting to be informed.
God is very patient, but eventually will punish those who reject Him... “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! See! Your house is left to you desolate;" (Matthew 23:37, 39) God gave a precise timeline through the prophet Daniel telling when the Messiah would come... as well as what the punishment would be for rejecting Him (Daniel 9:20-27).
Your video was the perfect length of time to give an understandable answer to the difference between the Torah and the Talmud. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Am Yisrae Chai
There are no difficult questions. This is part of the answer. The only real issue is the refusal to accept rational thinking, which is, in fact, no thinking at all. This is why it is called faith.
The Torah oor the Old Testament was TRUE. The Talmud is from man. One from God and the other ? One from the Law and the other lawless. God the Father inspired by the Holy in Believers understands the scriptures. The Lord simplified the scriptures, we have his written Word. And we have his beloved Promised Jewish Messiah Jesus Christ 🙏
Thank you for you clear explanation. You sound like a great guy. I saw the channel's name and I cannot imagine what you must be feeling with everything going on. Hope for peace and love to your region 🙏.
Spanish Jew, Rabbi Mizvos . Talmud is understandable Torah. Babylonian Talmud- discussions of law by Rabbis. How to observe it. The laws of 5 books of Moses.
Have u read the new testament the holy bible yeshua the son of God. And what do you think about the biblical prophecys that are coming to life. Only found in the new testament of the holy bible. Idk if you ever read it or looked into it but you need too
Anyway what is the authentic script of jew relegion (is it the exact name of yahooda relegion?) Just like khuraan for muslims? I know there is tora ( we muslims are calling it tourath amd believing it was given to prophet moosa ( moses) and we are believing in prophet moosa and his book thourath.
Laws prohibiting various forms of witchcraft and divination can be found in the books of Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy. These include the following (as translated in the Revised JPS, 2023 : Exodus 22:17 - You shall not tolerate a sorceress. Leviticus 19:26 - You shall not eat anything with its blood. So why Jews practice the Kabbalah ?....
@David.Haivri...There is reference to Jesus in the Bible... "He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." (John 1:10-13) God loves you, @David.Haivri.
It is beyond cavil that extraordinary genius has gone into the creation of the Talmud. But, as in all literary analysis, I would concentrate on the Primary Source, the Torah. Not only is it manageable, but if God is God, then revelation of God's word is available to all souls who sincerely seek it.
Basically for more detailed understanding of the meaning of the Torah based on ancient oral traditions. At some point after the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in the year 70ce and disperse of the Jewish people to diaspora there was great concern amongst the rabbis and leaders of the nation that these traditions would be lost for future generations if not transfered from verbal into written format and so the Mishna and Talmud were collected into written volumes.
The text structure of Talmud is not really readable like a book, but rather for intensive study in a systematic program. Torah can be an enjoyable read for all regardless to ones religious beliefs.
Therefore, there is no longer any condemnation awaiting those who are in union with the Messiah Yeshua. Why? Because the Torah of the Spirit, which produces this life in union with Messiah Yeshua, has set me free from the “Torah” of sin and death. But now, you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of the Messiah’s blood. For he himself is our shalom - he has made us both one and has broken down the m’chitzah which divided us by destroying in his own body the enmity occasioned by the "Torah", with its commands set forth in the form of ordinances. He did this in order to create in union with himself from the two groups a single new humanity and thus make shalom, and in order to reconcile to God both in a single body by being executed on a stake as a criminal and thus in himself killing that enmity. For it was through letting the Torah speak for itself that I died to its traditional legalistic misinterpretation, so that I might live in direct relationship with God.
It is my understanding that Moses recorded The Torah and The Laws from the Tablet that was given to him by ELohym /God at mount Sina. Both, The Torah and The Book of The Laws were placed on the right side of the ARC of the covenant as a constant reminder to the The Hebtew People This, however was written in Paleo Hebrew and not in your modern Hebrew that is used in Y'srael today. With further understanding , The Laws and The Statues were given to Moses and The Hebrew people. It is Later on through Abraham's decendances which gives bith to the twelve sons resulted from Issac, to Yacob birthing Y'srael. The tribes of Levite to which the priesthood was assigned and The Laws were adhere to and not to body of Rabbies. The Laws were not condensed to suit a person or a specific tribe but all Y'srael.
The Ten Commandments are meant for everyone, from Adam and Eve, right through to today. God's Ten Commandments is His Character, how and what He expects from us. It's a mirror, showing us right from wrong and most importantly, it was given long before God chooses the Jewish people to be His evangelical messengers to spread the good news of the birth of Jesus and redemption and reunitement of man with God. The Jews screwed up their God-given mission in Matthew 27:25 😢
Is it true that you jewish consider nonjewish people equal to animals sort of, like it's not sin to kill nonjew or hurt them in any way or it's ok to sleep before marriage with non Jew women but not with jew women, and non jew women are like prostitutes... it's ok to take money from non jew, it's not a sin..etc.. Is it true???
The Torah states unequivocally that ALL men were created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). I have found when looking for information online it doesn't matter what you want to know someone is more than willing to answer your question. And if you typed 'are non jew women are like prostitutes' you'll find tons of websites that say yes. I'm guessing your questions come from something you've read. But anyone can be an expert, anyone can twist the truth to suit their own agenda, and quite often a lot of information presented online is completely false. Your questions can all be answered with an unequivocal No.
