That is the first app I install too. I have had 1Password since it first came out.

Nope. I have been using 1Password since version 2. I am a Mac user and was currently using version 6 in Chrome (since Safari integration has been broken awhile now) until Chrome updated and broke the app - "1Password can't verify the identity of your web browser." From reading through the forums, this won't be fixed and you MUST update to the subscription model to use 1Pass with the current versions of Chrome. I have more than enough subscriptions so... I am using the iCloud keychain with the Touch ID keyboard. Strangely, it is not as smooth but, hey it's a password after all and it more than adequately fills the need for password storage and generation.

$3 a month is not even a half a cup a coffee and sooner rather than later all software will be subscription model. It kinda works for update speeds when you know M/M and Y/Y what your revenue is gonna be.

When you add in the price of all the other subscriptions (Adobe, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, etc. etc.), the price quickly balloons into an enormous, NEVER-EVER-ending Whole Foods shopping trip. 1Password is a password manager. A nice one true, but, if I can save the $3.00 a month for an actual cup of coffee with something that I already own (Mac OS) I'm going to do it.

Firefox, also saves your passwords, tabs and so on and can generate complicated passwords.

@@syrynx4454 call me crazy but I don’t trust free services. The whole you get what you pay for is not flawless but it’s over 90% accurate in my experience.

Been using it for years as a standalone app, I'm still on the version 6 on my Mac and synced with the iOS on my iPhone. Guess I'm just cheap, it's obviously much better with the online subscription, smoother operation.
