Minecraft’s story is whatever you want it to be. Whether that be some guy in the woods surviving or a man reaching near immortality to test it by killing a dragon in an alternate dimension, and that is why Minecraft is the best game. It’s mechanics, soundtrack, and story is open ended and wholesome
Yeah I absolutely adore this game. But the gameplay is kinda boring. Another game with better gameplay, a great story, a great and immersive world, and a killer soundtrack is hollow knight.
Portal 2 is the best game I’ve ever played in my entire life… and IGN listed it as #3 in the list of greatest games of all time so that’s gotta count for something
Undertale, great story, great soundtrack, great aesthetic, great characters, fun gameplay, fun story, funny characters, good moments, emotional moments, insane character development, peak writing.
Without using a single word, text or spoken, Journey has told a fascinating story that you get to share with a complete stranger. It might not be up there in terms of RDR2, FFXIV or other highly rated games but I think Journey's an experience to behold.
Not a complete stranger. *3* complete strangers. 2 of which you bond more than the first *because you think* they are the first player you started off with. You go through all this emotional bonding with your patner, go thru beautiful and difficult terrain, play and sing and dance with them only for the ending to come around and you getting emotional over what happens in the ending thanking your partner for the amazing journey you two had together only to learn he wasn't a he. He was a Them, 3 of them 😂
I mean yeah but the combat is kinda boring at times - before you argue that I probably didn't play it, I beat every route including soulless pacifist and genocide
@@archiegrishipol the developers actually did write in a story like how the warden originally didn’t drop anything because it was just for the lore till people got mad so they made drop something
Elden Ring wasn't perfect. Unnecessary plains of nothing, NPCs relocating to unpredictable areas with no clues as to where to find them in order to progress their questlines. Some of the "Rise" puzzles were complete bs. Not to mention the overcomplicated and vague lore. In terms of content, it's the most packed Souls-like but that does not account for flawless game design. What I did like about it most were the boss fights, build variety and the feeling of awe and wonder you get when you reach a new region. It's like stepping into diverse worlds, he vastness of them all... You can get lost in that. Speaking of perfection... Witcher 3:Wild Hunt and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice are on my list
@@OtakuUnitedStudio Honestly, the more I'm playing Elden Ring the more I realize that I want the field music to be infrequent and not continuously play
@@nikkoa.3639 Same. Especially since the field music will sometimes suddenly and without reason switch from "calm and meditative" to "slasher film soundtrack" for seemingly no reason - no monsters, just open field. The frequent cymbal rolls also get a little distracting. I do have to say, though, a lot of the music in that game is absolutely amazing. Like Redmane Castle sounding somewhere between the Halo theme and something out of Metroid Prime with its chanting.
Vendor plague of lies the soundtrack is amazing the story is amazing and it's very open and has a lot of classes and the devs have a great sense of humor
@@Skeletonemoji1 I feel like I've developed ptsd because of this shit man, everytime I hear that sound I just immediately go into panic mode and start RUNNING. I don't even know where, I'm just RUNNING.😭
@@SalemsForgottenWitch time to use that handy trick I called the bomb launch (basically jumping and using 2 bombs while using the bow jump to send you flinging)
@@Dwight.DEisenHower Tetris and Minecraft are above it. Tetris sale are more than twice of gta5 Tetris- 520 mil Minecraft- 300 mil Gta is somewhere around 200
By the criteria you mentioned, RDR2 has: - A banger soundtrack - Immersive free roam - A deep, emotional, and enjoyable story - Lots of choices (endings, weapons, order you do missions, outfits, side missions, etc.) to make sure it doesn’t get repetitive and boring - Plus, almost all of the characters are VERY well written and voice acted
Actually, BotW got the music perfect, the music is calm and sparce, it has a lonely feeling to it, and the game is trying to make you feel lonely, but not in a bad way, more like a neutral way
While playing 5D chess with multiverse and time travel you start hallucinating, and those hallucinations have the most beautiful story, soundtrack, graphics and gameplay
@@ShrekLord909dude the fact that the rdr2 community has made so many inside jokes to the point where u can jst reference and people will know is insane
@@THEONETRUEOVERLORDthe bugs are what make it great lmao it’s always funny to watch a dragon getting stuck in the floor and breathe cheese instead of flame
Botw has barebones music Gardian stalker battle theme, normal gardain battle theme, molduga battle theme(both varaints), normal battle theme that has ADAPTIVE NOTES based of when you hit enmies, hyrule castle theme, kakriko village theme, gurudo town theme, workshop theme, strong enmey theme, ect
Don't forget fighting the divine beasts (specifically Vah Ruta and Vah Naboris), and the themes for Sidon and Mipha, who's songs have notes that correspond to their names in solfege (think do re *_mi fa_* so la *_si do_* )! BOTW is a masterpiece, and I unironically listen to those in my free time.
What do you guys think is the best Hyrule field theme. Skyward sword is the exception and I will count the sky theme. I'm trying to get a survey from as many Zelda fans as I can.
@@pinklink3 Man, that's tough. I Love the classic A Link to the Past Hyrule Field theme, Majora's Mask Termina Field theme (classic w/ a flair), and Twilight Princess Hyrule Field theme (different & beautiful). Also, Spirit Tracks Overworld theme is good too, like a cross between Mario Kart and Zelda.
Cyberpunk 2077 The map is MASSIVE. Everything you do, say and text matters. It is visually and design wise one of the most beautiful games i have ever seen. The soundtrack is undeniably on point all the way through. Even the side missions are alive as well as the random encounters! My words no matter how many could never convey the magnificence of the moving, breathing, living creature that is this game.
Someone should make a game, but matpats theory directly impacts how the future of the game goes,as in it goes in the exact opposite direction, and force matpat to cry in bet repeatedly
Minecraft and tetris: no story I dont wanna bother rewatching to remember(maybe the last of us?): has a story but repetitive gameplay Zelda: has a story and open world so it's not repetitive but soundtrack not that good Sonic frontiers: has a story and open world so its not repetitive and soundtrack is good Sooooo.....
Red Dead Redemption 2. It is open world, the entire sound track fits the theme. The most amazing story that you'll basically never get the same feeling again. Plus there are hundreds of Easter eggs, still some aren't found
@@Mister_RandomGuychannel every mission is just “spend 10 mins slow riding with dialogue here and shoot these people”. The story is good but the gameplay feels dated, rockstar uses the same combat system in every game, it’s fun but it gets a bit boring when the only viable strategy is get in cover and shoot. The random encounters are cool but after 30 hours of gameplay you have seen them all and they get repetitive. I loved the game but after I finished the epilogue and started a new game I quickly lost interest as I had done almost everything on my first play through
@@arzfan29 nah, not really, what you can do is compare them, but not really rate them on a objective scale, a lot of them have huge differences and some may perfer the game play of one game, otherd that of another game.
I consider Minecraft the only true sandbox game in existence, not only for what you can do in game (which is anything), but because what you can do TO the game code to literally make it another game entirely. Its basically a sandbox game, and a sandbox to make games.
Breath of the wild has a bunch of separate songs for important places, but since you spend most of the time between them, you don’t get to hear it as much. A very famous jazz guy (probably miles Davis but I forgor) once said it’s the notes you don’t play that matter more, which is why I think that soundtrack is actually really good, I could probably write an entire essay but I’ll leave it at that.
Exactly, there was a video I saw once that completely broke down most of the soundtrack from specific location to fight music to just roaming and the storytelling behind it all, it honestly extremely well done by nintendo, I'll see if I can find the video Edit : I'm 90% sure this is the one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K3wYxjbhqx0.html
