The Jones Plus LWB HD/e frameset can be built into a heavy-duty bike or an electric bike.
A Jones bicycle is great for all kinds of riding, on-road and off, touring, commuting, bikepacking, technical trails, loaded or unloaded. The frames and forks are designed together (a frameset) so they work together to deliver a great handling bike. Jones Geometry. You are perfectly positioned (balanced) between the wheels. You sit back and upright, with less weight on your arms and your head up - the position is natural and very comfortable. They don’t ‘fit’ like ‘normal bikes’ - they really fit!

Right on. I tried a TSDZ2 on my Jones LWB complete and it was a hoot, but as you say the chainstays interfere with chain line. I'd really like a frame with the motor integrated, be it a Bafang, Shimano, or Bosch.

I currently run a Surly Krampus 29+ w/bbshd. It is great but does have the fit issues which lead to chainline compromise and offset pedaling. Looks like this is my next setup!!

I'm running a geared hub motor at the back wheel and single speed with the SB One CT chain tensioner. 46t/13t. Chainline isn't perfectly straight but it doesn't affect anything and is running super smoothly. Just a pain in the butt to fit a kickstand anywhere on there urgh!

I’d like to see a Bosch/bafang middrive built in; but I get it one step at a time. I had a bbshd on my Jones 29 and had some seriously frame flex under load. This solves that problem.

Cost of the bike plus $400 - $700 for motor and $500 or less for battery if you build your own bike.

Great explanation. By any chance, any of your frames will fit 27.5X4.5 or 26X5.05 tires front and back? Can this be custom ordered? eBike. Thanks.

@@Veloperator It fits but it's a front hub motor only for now. They do sell one from Crystalyte that fits on the rear but it's currently out of stock. Will stay tuned!

Anyone tour on one of these (without the motor)? How are they for road cruising? I have given up on finding a Surly

Many of our customers love the HD/e pedal bike for touring and road riding. We have had people test both regular LWB and LWB HD/e bikes, some of them preferred the HD/e because it's just a little bit stiffer, longer and stronger. Both are great options! Some of our customers came from owning a Surly and really love the ride of our Jones bikes.
