Today I want to share with you the parable of the fig tree. Do you understand what it means? You know, when scripture talks with word pictures, with food elements, with trees, with plants, with people, they're always word pictures to help us understand the purpose of the words and the meaning of the words. But if you don't have a fig tree in your backyard, sometimes it's difficult.
I just want to read to you the verse in Mark, and it says, “When its branch is already tender and puts forth its leaves, you know, summer is near. Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, recognize that he is near right at the door.”
So let's look at the fig tree and let's see what he's talking about. When a fig tree has green shoots, it means a new life in Christ. And as we depend on God, as we abide in him, the leaves are going to come forth and then the fruit comes. And this tree is a symbol of God returning.
God is coming back for his own. He's coming to make an end to everything that he has put in motion. And this is a fantastic way to teach our children.
You know, because summer is coming and after summer is the harvest. Always remind your children after summer is the harvest. So this is just a beautiful example.
It is also good to reflect - are you bearing fruit? Are you still these tender shoots?
Are you beyond this and already bearing fruit?
So always remember as the fig tree that Christ is coming back, he is coming back to return. And remember, there's another parable parable of another fig tree that didn't produce any fruit.
What I want to ask you, don't get caught up in this social game that's happening right now. Don't get caught up in the judgment. Don't get caught up in, the attitudes of bitterness and anger and fear. And don't be caught up in fear. You if you are a child of God, then he's got you. He wants you to be like this tree. And bear fruit because summer's coming and after summer is the harvest.
And that's what we want to teach our children. Yes. OK. So we've got a virus going on. But that doesn't mean the world's coming to an end. He wants us to stay busy. He wants us to trust him, not trust the media. My goodness. That would just drive you sick if the virus testing it in the media. Well, so, hey, let's just stay focused. Stay focused. Do not be angered. Do not be mad at other people for choosing to see this virus differently.
I want you to get into God's word. I want you to have your devotion time. I want you to know God's word, no matter what situation you're in. Those words will just come right out. Remember, greater is he that is in me. That is in you than it is in the world. Now, let's start living like it. Let's be like the fig tree that is bearing fruit.
And let's show our amazing Lord and Savior. How much we love him. Right. Don't fret. There's no reason to fret. We are in amazing days. God is good.

This is very helpful I appreciate you breaking down the meaning. Everybody says to be like the fig tree and without knowing what the fig tree really is or what it refers to it's very confusing I know we must blossom fruit for the harvest but how do I know when the shoots grow in the fruit bears I believe I've become above of who I was into who I am does that mean I grew my suits or my bearing fruit? How does one exactly know if we are ready for the harvest?

Lovely figtree, Kudos! All love to you, including "the media"!!! Hahaha A little more about how a loving merciful god (son of god) curses a figtree when it was not TIME for the fig tree to bear fruit. What does that mean? Your explanation of the green shoots is spot on, but that's the easy parable. Low-hanging fruit if you will :)

There is much more to this parable then what you sited. It defines the last generation i.e. both the good fig and the bad fig set out when Israel was re-established in a.d. 1948. You nicely defined the good fig, but what about the bad fig? Study the two (approved by Christ) churches in Revelation i.e. Smyrna and Philadelphia. What do they teach? It’s critical know with understanding in these last days!

What He is teaching is the point I referenced. It is VERY important in these last days to be able to discern the true Christ from the pretend Christ. That moment is so very close. Respectfully.

In his description of end time events, the Lord Jesus showed the critical importance of the fig tree when he spoke about the parable of the fig tree, which he commanded us to learn but which he did not explain further. However, from the end time events recorded in the Song of Songs, we now know that the parable of the fig tree refers to the resurrection of the 144,000 firstfruits of Revelation 14 as well as the flight of the Jews out of Jerusalem to the mountains ( which are revealed in Solomon’s Song). The flight of the Jews out of Jerusalem, also known as spiritual Sodom and Egypt (Rev. 11:8) will be the final Jewish exodus which takes place at the beginning of the great tribulation (Luke 21:20-21). The resurrection and pre-tribulation rapture of the 144,000 firstfruits and the exodus of the Jews out of Jerusalem take place on the same day that the abomination that causes desolation is set up in the temple (Mathew 24:15). Here is what Jesus said about the mysterious fig tree: "Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near-at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. (Mathew 24:32-34) The Song of Songs gives more details of what Jesus called the parable of the fig tree. The Song of Solomon captures the parable of the fig tree as follows: "The fig tree puts forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grapes give a good smell. Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away! (Song 2:13 NKJV). The fair one who is being commanded to rise up and come away is the virgin bride of Christ, who are the 144,000 firstfruits (of Revelation 14:1-5) who are being commanded to come out of their graves and go up into heaven with Christ for the wedding banquet of the Lamb (Song 3:11: Song 4:8). These events occur at the blowing of the sixth trumpet which is the voice of the beloved Christ ( Song 2:8; Revelation 9:13-21). The same command also refers to the Jews who are being instructed to rise up and flee to the mountains before the Antichrist attacks the city at the beginning of the great tribulation. Jesus Curses a Fig Tree 18 Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered. 20 When the disciples saw this, they were amazed. “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” they asked. 21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” The true meaning of the parable is about the false Preachers or Prophets that Jesus met when he began to preach in Jerusalem, False preachers who taught the most learned of the people, changed the true teaching of Christ. Jesus is reasonable and will not look for fig fruits if it wasn't its season. The parable took place while Jesus was with his disciples, Jesus gave an example to His disciples of what to do with the False Preachers, those false preachers are barren that they don't bear fruit, it was a demonstration revealed in a parable through the fig tree. In the bible, a faithful Preacher is likened to a tree >> Psalm 1: 3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. >> The parable shows that Jesus expects His disciples to be Friutful Preachers, whether if its within their season or not. That fruit are the souls that will be saved by teaching ONLY the pure doctrines of Christ.. no more, no less Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that is wise stirreth up souls. Proverbs 3: 17-18 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her. Mark 13: 28-31 Lesson of the Fig Tree 28 “Understand the lesson from the fig tree: When its branches have withered away, and the leaves have sprouted, you know that summer is near. 29 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, Christ is even at the door. 30 I assure you that this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Here are the verses about the Preachers who are corrupt and do not really teach the doctrine of Christ like the priest speaking in this video: Jude 1: 10-13 10 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption; 11 Woe to them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core. 12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; clouds without water, carried along by winds; trees in the winter without fruit, twice dead, uprooted; 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

When you study Matthew 24:32 the fig tree has nothing to do with the “generation “ it is just comparing sure coming of summer after tender leaves just as the sure coming of Christ after the signs he described.... the “generation” in the verse clearly was not when he said it, they have long passed. The Greek word that was translated to “generation “ also translates to “nation” Jesus was speaking of the Jewish nation. “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation/nation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” The Jewish nation will see the second coming as described....and if the wording does actually mean what you say than the “generation”that you should use is the one found in Genesis “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24:38-39‬ ‭NKJV‬‬ ‭ “And the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭NKJV this “Generation “ was in the days of Noah.... We can’t let our longing of the rapture miss interprete scripture. My longing of the rapture is as much as yours. I’m ready 🙏🏻....

-(Note) fig tree means Priesthood or Pastor or teachers or church kinda, and the priest hood was taken from the Jews for previously in centuries changing the word and killing the prophets and not giving the real teachings and at the end of days given to a new priesthood possibly a individual or a new nation and people's. -Fruit means teachings also. Bible Verses aboutFig Trees Fig tree means teachings to go to Heaven -Jesus gave his teachings and after 3,000 years found none and told the angels to throw them into he'll but a voice said give a 1,000 years more and Jesus said ok but if none then are ready to be exceptional then throw them.(Note) in a Nag hammadi Library book it mentions he'll return in 3,000 years and also 3 days. Luke 13:6-9 And he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. And he said to the vinedresser, ‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none. Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’” - -Note he's telling the Jews their Priest is stripped from them and is going to be given to a new people and new land doing the will of God. Matthew 21:43 Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation bearing the fruits of it. - -(Note)Jesus was telling the Pharisees their Priest hood is no longer in effect,it's been taken from them. Matthew 3:10 And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree which does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. - -(Note)They corrupted the Bible so the Bible became a mystery ,so they can fall in their own traps and it could still be found out the way but this is why the Bible is so hard to understand now. Habakkuk 3:17-19 Though the fig tree should not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines, the produce of the olive fail and fields yield no food, the flock be cut off from the fold and there be no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation. God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the deer's; he makes me tread on my high places. To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. - -The true teachings will be given again at the end of days Luke 21:29-31 And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near. So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near. Matthew 24:32 -witness #2 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. - -Real Christian teachings the fig tree, other tree is fake Christian teachings. Judges 9:11 But the fig tree said to them, ‘Shall I leave my sweetness and my good fruit and go hold sway over the trees?’ - -(Note)Children good and bad Jeremiah 24:2 One basket had very good figs, like first-ripe figs, but the other basket had very bad figs, so bad that they could not be eaten. - -(Note)Bible tampering warning James 3:10-12 From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? Can a fig tree, my brothers, bear olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a salt pond yield fresh water. - -(Note)After 3,000 years was given the real Christian teachings and was reborn 1 Samuel 30:12 And they gave him a piece of a cake of figs and two clusters of raisins. And when he had eaten, his spirit revived, for he had not eaten bread or drunk water for three days and three nights. - -(Note)they understood scriptures and put the books together and were clothed with heavenly garments Genesis 3:7 Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths. - -(Note) good and bad people, the bad were naked, no heavenly garments to wear at the wedding Jeremiah 24:3 And the Lord said to me, “What do you see, Jeremiah?” I said, “Figs, the good figs very good, and the bad figs very bad, so bad that they cannot be eaten.” - -(Note)they have corrupted his teachings till it is but few original sayings he has spoken and taught Joel 1:7 It has laid waste my vine and splintered my fig tree; it has stripped off their bark and thrown it down; their branches are made white.
