Hello. So thankful for you and your RU-vid channel. You have been keeping me going while I've been taking care of family and my husband is delployed. I watch you and Parkinson's Wellness to keep up with physical therapy when I'm not at home. My question is that I have gastroparesisdue to Parkinson's. Is there any thing else I should be aware of due to the gastroparesis? Certain foods to avoid or increase? Thank you
I’m so glad you’re finding Invigorate’s resources helpful. It sounds like you have a lot on your plate so kudos to you for taking care of yourself despite the hectic schedule. Gastroparesis is very common and we talk about it inside the Hut Healing Protocol, especially being aware of how it contributes to constipation. First you HAVE to be active (sounds like you are) especially walking to keep your bowels moving. Keeping hydrated and eating fibrous fruits and veggies is a must. Staying away from dairy may also help - try it for 7-10 days and see how it impacts your symptoms. There are more strategies in the course but those should be a great start!
Sarah, you know how excited I am about this course. I'm one of those who was trying to pull together materials myself. I am good at research (background in education), but this topic was VERY difficult to research. These is SO MUCH material and a lot of it conflicts. I had even thought about taking an online program at Cornell, but it was $35,000. Can't wait to get started on this program!!!!!
Sarah, I still cannot get my Workbook to print. I cannot even get it to come up to view. What I get is the Welcome--Module 1 only. What am I doing wrong?
Our goal was to keep the lessons short and sweet so they don't overwhelm. Just included the important stuff and no fluff! I'm so glad you're joining us Gitte!
Hello Sarah what is your response on probiotics like Protandim I was under the understanding that the probiotics are not good for people with Parkinson’s is this true? I’ve taken it for 6 years. Great video you have lots of information. I’m going to sign up for the course and give it a try. Nutrition is one of the things I have not done so well at.
