Traded back and taking Nix wouldn't work not just because of the Raiders but ant team jumping in front of the Broncos to get him , It was the worst kept secret that the Broncos wanted him.
I love the music. I have to be honest. I did not like Bo at first But if you watch any of this tape you see a quick decision maker who is precise and also enough athlete to make a play with his feet. He will be a really good player.
Totally agree with Gage from Broncos Syndicate about Mark Schlereth. I love Mark. He just tells it like it is and he doesn't play little pundit games. You guys are the same way. We're blessed here in Broncos Country to have some really good outlets (just not the weirdos who think Walmart and John Elway are scheming to ruin the Broncos - literally the weirdest niche sports channel I've ever seen).
You always go with the QB. How some are calling this an arrogant reach? But we’re just going to let Atlanta slide? Come freaking on. Bro is a Bronco and I’m here for it. Great fit, they got his one of his favorite targets and if I may, where did this team get worse? No cap?
It's these pundits digging their heels in on their position. They do not like getting proven wrong. Very egotistical. Everything is a "I told you so - I called it." I really think they're going to eat crow. None of them thought Pat Mahomes was the #1 QB in his class. The arrogant talk is especially dumb because Sean Payton detailed how the analytics team helped sway his decision. This wasn't some knee jerk thing, like, they really, really did their homework on these QB's. Sean Payton saw what I and so many others saw in Bo Nix. The NFL train deemed him an unsexy pick. They think everyone should be Lamar (who hasn't proven squat in the postseason) or Josh Allen.
@@78LedHead Here's hoping! Bo's tape says much about the kid. I'm also glad that Denver walked way from the draft without giving up any premium picks for next years draft!
@@Opethianaut 100% The potential of McCarthy (since he's so young) might be better than Bo's, but I don't think it's such a divide that it's worth multiple future 1sts and/or Pat Surtain. I do think Schlereth nailed the post draft QB eval. He had McCarthy and Nix as the favorites to be good QB's simply because of the fit with the teams, and the offensive prowess from the coaches.
Bo is super football-smart, a hard worker, and like it or not, his faith will get him thru the bad stuff. But I like his scrabling ability and quick decion making.
I’d argue that while the broncos beat the bears in coaching for a qb, the bears have way better weapons so it might net out even for what place is the best for a qb. Dj Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze have a chance to be the best wr room in the league
I became a bigger fan after listening to his interview with Phil Simms. He is the first college QB I have heard in a long time that broke down plays and looks he had during games the way he did. Most are extremely basic and surface level. Hope he does well.
I hear a lot of people comparing Bo to Kenny Pickett or Mac Jones. Wrong. Bo Nix is more like Chad Pennington if Chad had a set of wheels. Chad was well on his way to becoming a great QB until injuries derailed his career.
Trying to grade a person that hasn't even played a down is senseless. First overall pick could be a bust, then you got Brock purdy who went to the Superbowl. Grades mean absolutely nothing.
Bo Nix is the antithesis of Paxton Lynch. Maybe Lynch was more "talented" but above the shoulders and work ethic WILL NOT be why Nix doesn't succeed. I believe he will best version of himself based on how much work he will put in to his craft.
The only thing matter is the player can play and win with coaches’ system or vice versa. Whose care where in the draft he got picked. The football fans and media obsessed with stupid draft number. Get a life or doing something else people.
What a crock of horse manure! Statistics showed that Russ was much better in a play action game, but Denver ran among the fewest play action plays in the league. If SP was trying to make it work, why didn' t he call plays to Russ's strength. Call it like it is! Don't kiss SP's behind! He wanted to get rid of Russ, so he ran an offense that would assure that he could do that. In spite of him Russ almost took them to the playoffs.
Oh Lord. Here we go with the Russ fan conspiracies again. I'm thankful Russ is gone. Hackett let Russ run what he wanted and we see how that worked out. Russ actually IMPROVED under Sean Payton, therefor, your theory makes zero sense.
