Such an awesome amp! Everything you could ever need. Got my 120 MK3 a couple weeks ago and really have just kept playing it every moment I get.

I only have a G3 but it’s sooooo sweet, it’s totally hitting the frequency’s that make my ears happy, at any gain or aggression mode it’s in. Mostly blue mode with gain about 1 o’clock and EQ to taste 🤘🏽

I want that amp. Don't know what I'd do with 120 watts(other than be too loud!), but I want that amp!

It has a 10 watt mode & good master volume + you can run it with the built in reactive loadbox into studio monitors at any volume you like!

The master volume on that amp is impeccable. The depth and presence controls allow you to further dial in your tone at whisper volumes. If you need the feel at low volumes you also have the option of using the 10 watt mode.

When I first heard you play through that channel, I seriously thought, "Damn, this has that Houses of the Holy mid-gain all over it", and then you played "The Ocean". There isn't anything this amp can't do.

2:37 I've wondered why you wouldn't just get a Rectifier instead of a Generator, and that's the answer I was looking for. A Rectifier can't do that.

Thank you Shawn , although I’m lacking the G 120 MKIII ( temporarily lol ) , from what I can gather the basic functions of MKII eq architecture is somewhat similar minus of course the cut function , which I view as perhaps related to the MKII’s contour switch although the voicings are quite different? I hope you’ll do a similar video describing channel 4 . Perhaps even the MKII , which I do have ! Cheers

Can you tell me if the dynamis 7-40 can get to that more modern high gain type sound, or would you need a pedal to get it to that place?

The Dynamis' gain is definitely more vintage / looser. You want want to boost it with something like a Screamer or use an amp in a box like the G3 into the clean channel for modern high gain.
