What is the role of the Cinematographer? || Spotlight

I think CookeOptics TV is "a must see TV" for all up and coming Producers, Directors and Cinematographers !

This stuff is so good, and so high quality by youtube standards. To be expected from a cinema lens company to some extent but it's hardly promotional at all which is so good. Thank you for these I look forward to new ones!

Only three of these men spoke about their job so that a regular folks could grasp the concept. Only two of those three (de Borman and Finney) finally answered the simple question of what the DP actually does...(A) interpret what the director wants visually and (B) efficiently handle all of the technical aspects of filming the project to take that stress off of the shoulders of the director. Why is this question so hard for most of these prima donnas to answer? The rest of these knuckleheads spoke all around the topic and/or used abstract language that means nothing. This is one reason why a great number of regular folks cannot stand artists because artists are so full of themselves most of the time. I think a great number of artists either love to hear themselves speak or don't truly care to explain themselves, so they basically tell the interviewer/audience to piss off in a nice way. Am I wrong?

Could you tell us what equipment you are using to film the interviews... in terms of camera and lenses? Or are they from stock? Thanks.
