I had some abdominal pain when I was about 17. It was about the same pain as my normal cramps (after the first 1/2 day pain other girls would understand) but I noticed it was higher than normal cramps. Everyone said It was just cramps and didn’t think an ER visit was worth it. Went in anyway and was sitting in a room waiting for about an hour before anything happened. The doctors and nurses all were just rolling their eyes at me until suddenly I felt all better for about 5 minutes until I passed out. My appendix had exploded. Not popped, not ruptured. It exploded. I was rushed to a table and was saved. I was told if I hadn’t come in and left it alone I would have died. Safe to say we did sue but it was a missive chain and were pretty poor. No way were we able to catch a good lawyer.
