Also, Jim Corbett is remembered for tracking, hunting & killing man-eaters in British India but he also did HUGE amounts of conservation work. He basically grew up and lived alongside the Indian wildlife, he was a bit of a British mowgli in a way, and the reason he was able to hunt down these vicious man-eaters was because he knew, understood and respected these animals so much. He was personally responsible for spreading the word in a time which, as Forrest puts it, was 'different' that we need to protect nature and these animals.

@@dangerousbeans8067 yeah, they’re amazing. I read one of them whilst I was visiting Corbett National Park in India (not going to lie, when I first went there I genuinely thought it was named after Ronnie, lol …I was pretty young & dumb though). Sounds a bit corny, I know, but it was pretty cool being in the place where many of his personal stories took place. I think it is a fitting testament to the guy that, YEARS after the end of the British Raj, he is still honoured and revered in parts of India.

I will go for the polar bear, because it could eat you while you alive, I would think crocs grap and would drown you first, and the big cats would go for the neck for a quick kill. I would guess the polar bears really mauls you to death and you proberly see it coming from a mile away, knowing there is no where to go, thats way more scary, then a quick kill from a cat or croc. Those killers would be quicker in killing you. Awesome popcast guys, love it!!!, keep on going, greetings from the Netherlands

Nope crocodiles don’t drown humans they start eating you as soon as they got you. The thing with nile crocs they know hope weak and powerless humans are in water so they don’t have to worry about us putting up a fight like buffalos or zebras. They literally will start death rolling you the moment they get a hold of you. Crocs have no fear of humans and hear is the thing not all polar bears will hunt humans only if the bear is hungry will it hunt you but crocs even when they are full will still go after you. In short every croc is a man eater while polar bears there needs to be a hunger requirement met before they hunt you.

Jim Corbett is a legend. There is a RU-vid channel that does stories about man eaters, Jim comes up in nearly every video as the one who was able to kill the cat. He would sit alone in trees, or huts with the door open essentially using himself as bait. Many stories involved him in a standoff with the cat and making decisions that save his life just by gut instinct and previous experiences. Killing a cat is not sad when we are talking about a maneater, normally the cat is injured and would otherwise starve if not for eating humans. These are real people who may lose a child or spouse and don't have the means to protect themselves. I am 100% a conservationist at heart but I am also 100% on team people when it comes to literally life and death.

Polar bears for sure. Croc attack you’ll likely drown pretty quickly and big cats go for the neck or sever the spinal cord to kill you. Bears just pin you down and start eating. saltwater crocodiles are just as smart as niles, I have no idea where you got that from, the only reasons there are not many stories of salties intelligently hunting people is because Australia isn't a third world country, people dont need to go to the river to clean/get water, I don't see how salties which outclass niles in length, weight, and aggression couldn't be considered "tougher", just because there is no possibility for a gustave situation to happen with salties due to how developed Australia is doesn't mean salties are worse at hunting and killing people, ask any person who owns adults of both species which one is more aggressive/ ferocious and which one they would avoid going into the enclosure of, they will always say the salties, both salties and niles have hunted people for thousands of years, both have been shown to be able to learn and understand the drinking patterns of animals to figure out the best time for an ambush, both have snatched people from boats, in terms of hunting abilities when it comes to humans any distinction between them is completely pointless and location biased, there will be nearly no difference between a saltie that wants you dead and a nile that wants you dead, if you go near the water regularly both will learn your patterns and kill you, no exceptions one is not more scary to be hunted by than the other
@thabangmalaza2621
@thabangmalaza2621 Год назад
You know that salties exist outside Australia right. Philippines, Papau New Guinea and most Islands in the east and South and east pacific have salties. And the countries I just named are third world and the people need top go to rivers to do tasks and even then salties aren’t as brazen when attacking humans like Nile’s do. Nile crocodiles attack humans way more then salties ever. You can check the Philippine attack number stats and compare it to a single river in Mpumalanga South Africa with nile Crocs and the difference is huge and that’s just one river keep in mind.
@Lord_of_Snels
@Lord_of_Snels Год назад
@@thabangmalaza2621 Australian saltwater crocodiles are completely different beasts to those in the Philippines, thats why I focused on them, Australian saltwater crocodiles are more used to hunting larger prey and back when the megafauna used to exist would be taking down very large prey and even today they target water buffalo, but usually favour kangaroos and feral pigs, the crocs in the Philippines havent historically hunted large prey and are more adapted to focus on fish and crabs, so yes philipine saltwater crocodiles may be less brazen than nile crocodiles, the outline of a kangaroo and a human is very similar, this is why Australian saltwater crocodiles are more open to human predation than those living else where

I don't think that there's an intelligence difference between a Nile croc or a Salty how can this guy just say things like that? All the characteristics that he describe about Nile crocodiles are well know as well within Salt water crocodiles the difference is that salt water crocodiles hunt from Northern Australia all the way up to India.

It makes me angry when you act like an act of killing an animal by its Nature has to be defended to be recognized as not being something that was just inherently wrong to do.... I don't want you out there reassuring people that supposedly love animals but are too stupid to know it's good to kill them sometimes..... but yes it was good to do that this time or that time or whatever time you're talkin about. They need to be treated like their stupid for not being aware of that already. Unless they are like you know grade-schoolers. Even then. Not every level of grade school is tolerable, some of them still have to be treated like they are stupid if they think that.

The fact he grew up around them makes it biased when he says nile croc's i am sure if he grew up around salt water croc's in Australia he wouldn't be saying nile croc's. if he wants to have a unbiased opinion he needs to study and actually interact with saltie's in the northern territories to see which one he thinks is more brazen and daring to actively hunt humans most of the time nile's snatch people from the side of rivers which is there natural instinct same for saltie's but saltie's have been known to jump in boats, capsize, disable, pull people from them, move billabongs or watering holes to hunt humans in the nile's case its mainly due to the fact that people have no choice but to coexist there so attacks are more frequent and wide spread across the whole nile i am sure if salties had a active population of humans on the river banks in the thousands which in places like Indonesia and Philippines they have a population on the banks but not much but if there was more they would be killing a lot also you cant base your whole argument oh i lived with them my whole life and there far worse but that's because of circumstance if you look at saltie's they are by far smarter and more calculated in how they achieve results in killing humans

@thabangmalaza2621

Nope forest ain’t wrong Nile crocs kill way more humans then salties do. And they are way more aggressive then salt water crocodiles and this is due to them having to be in river systems with another aggressive and territorial species the hippo which kills crocs sometimes for shits and giggles not because the croc is a threat nope just because the hippo decided violence. Oh yeah by the way Nile crocs don’t exist in. The Nile river in. Africa they exist in. The Congo basin where attacks are even more prevalent they exist in almost every country in Africa that has a large body of water. Nile crocs also choose to go to very dense populated areas of rivers or lakes just to specifically hunt humans.

Get famous off of killing things you feel bad when you reflect that you killed things. I'm sure as you lose that invincible feeling of youth as well you connect with the animals, who were probably in the same exact mental state as those the hunter. Young, strong and blind naive instincts turn to grizzled Wisdom for those hunters
