Also, Mecca and the Kabba lay to the center of the massive continent of "Pangea" millions of years ago. And during our salat, we form rows that extend to our right and left in our particular time zone. These rows form arcs with the Kabba at the center. As the earth revolves in a 24 hour period, the different time zones come into their 5 salat times, Fajr, Zohr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, and if you were to view this from space you would see arcs of people forming, dispersing and reforming. This is the essence of Islam and Towhid, and no other religion/belief has this. It is truly a sign from Allah (SWT).

I don't agree with your comment but I respect it. I think Muslims circulate 7 times around Kaaba when performing pilgrimage against the clock like every creation that God created. For example the electrons circulate around the center of the atom against the clock and the Planets circulate around the Sun witch is the center of our galaxy also around the clock. I am just saying that for people looking for the logical reason of spinning around the Kaaba. Otherwise Muslims do Tawaf because that's how Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him fulfilled the Pilgrimage.

Where is there an explicit command from Allah to circle the Kaaba? It seems highly suspect to me that the circling of the Kaaba is done seven times, the same number as the celestial bodies (moon and planets) known in times past. Odd that the circling is done in the same direction as the planets (clockwise). Without an explicit command from Allah to do this, how can we know it didn’t come from paganism much like the pagan Christmas the Christians keep?

Circulating round the kaba is a type of worship The same way how the electrons go round the nucleus in an atom and the same way how planets move around the stars. Infact everything what allah has created is in constant submission to him. This is the beauty.

When reality hits you and hopefully that's before the day of judgement you going to realize that directly above the Kaaba there is a place of worship or a house of worship that the Angels do the same thing as we do as Muslims on Earth around the Kaaba and you're going to feel very very humiliated.

You have clearly no idea what it feels like to go around it. It is the best and most calming thing I have ever experienced. Seeing it after a long time made me tear up, let alone going around while praying. And then going btwn Safaaa and Marwaa which are the mountains that Hajar, Esmaeil’s mother, went back and forth btwn them to find water for her baby. Going back and forth btwn the two mountains seven times, while praying and remembering this story was very very empowering to me. Kaba and Mecca are Holy for a reason. There is a reason that it is very crowded, there is a reason that ppl fall in love with these places. The first house of Allah that he ordered Ibrahim to build, so that ppl will worship Allah in it. Alhamdulilah. I am very happy that Allah has given us such a blessing.

I do think that he has any religious reasons for circling kaaba as many scholars say that this was a pre Islamic practice which was incorporated into Islam. As he is saying that muslims do not worship kaaba, so the same goes for hindus also who do not worship their idols but use them like kaaba to convey their message to supreme one who has many names in different religions. Also the reason for kissing black stone is unexplained. If as per second khalifa the black stone does not harm nor do any benefit and since it was kissed by Prophet so muslims do it, then my question is prophet must have some valid reasons for kissing it and if it does not benefit any nor it harm any then why to kiss it at first place even if it is stone from heaven, when is a stone ultimately.

haha! the man got caught. symbolism is in every cult. even in vedic and other 'hindu' faiths, no one believes that 'GOD' exists in each idol. thats also a representation and a method of helping the devotee forget other things and focus on what that idol represents while training his intellect to get away from idols. unf. that concept got corrupted etc - even supposedly spiritually advanced people now start consecrating idols. same symbolism concept is in every other religion. same with putting the granth-sahib and 'worshipping' it. once people start reading all the islamic scripts and get disillusioned with it, they will dissociate with it. by then, 'scholars' like zn will start writing doctored versions of their scripts to suit the times.

Direction indicates unity .if everyone starts praying in different direction it will become difficult to pray . A stone is attached with kaaba , a person who will stand on kaaba means he is denying to worship Kaaba and stone.
