What is the WORST Weapon Banner in Genshin Impact?

Not actually a bad weapon banner but Staff of Homa + Wolf’s Gravestone is the banner that sucked over $2000 out of Tectone, began his long downward spiral into what he’s become today, and is probably the reason we have Epitomized Path as a mechanic today. That deserves an honorable mention in my books.

The worst weapon banner is one where you really want one weapon, but absolutely don't want the other weapon. A banner with 2 bad weapons will get skipped anyways, but players are a lot more likely to waste their primos on a weapon banner with one weapon that they want and end up with something they didn't want.

1:49 I personally LOVE the idea of the bell. if they ever make a hp main DPS claymore, it would be amazing. All you need is a shielder in your team and you get a 24% dmg increase. In the passive, it doesn't say you have to be protected by the weapon's shield, it says you have to be protected by A shield. If you have Layla or Zhongli, you pretty much have 24% increased dmg all the time

It's funny how Amos bow is still considered okay because it is a "respectable choice on a viable character", while Summit Shaper is hated on even though it's one of the best options for Ayaka in freeze teams (and on Kaeya). It's also good on Keqing. I would not recommend pulling it on purpose, but if you lose your 50/50 to Summit Shaper you still have a good weapon and it does not deserve the hate it receives.

Aquila isn't Jean's hidden signature weapon anyway. It's Freedom-Sworn. :^)

I actually wanted to hear more about weapon banners. Do you think you could do a video on how the Standard Banner has changed after 3.6? Is it better or worse than it was at release with the new 5 and 4 stars?

I accidentally pulled memory of dust on really low pity without ninguang but I will fight to the end of time that it is good on wanderer. I'm a wanderer main so I use it quite often now

So fun story about a stupid player... (Me) I started playing as a Childe main... which mostly meant ignoring the weapon banner, since he didn't have a signature weapon for bloody years. When he finally did get one, it released alongside the memory of dust. Since I'd never interacted with the weapon banner before, I didn't fully understand the invocation system... I thought the new weapon was set up for the pity by default. So I wasn't overly crushed when I pulled the Memory of Dust the first time... or the second time. Okay! Now the third time I'm guaranteed to get the Polar star! I pulled another five-star weapon and... a third memory of dust. Realizing my mistake and cursing my stupidity, I properly set the invocation this time... and kept rolling due to the sunken cost fallacy. Fourth 5-star weapon was Memory of dust...... Fifth 5-star weapon was memory of dust... Finally, after 6 5-star weapons, I got invocation to work properly and got my one copy of Polar Star. To this day that R5 memory of dust sits in my account, laughing at me. At least Ningguang is a beast now.

I feel like each weapon has a use for them for certain characters while having certain roles. The all around Favonius Weapons for example can be used by anyone, but the purpose of them is to collect more particles to get our bursts faster and they’re mainly used by support characters. Then u have certain weapons like the Memory of Dust and the Unforged where both get boosts from having Sheilds and because of that more specific characters would have more use out of them due to certain situations like Ningguang who can use Shards from her attacks for shield and Xinyan who always had a shield thanks to her skill. Of course there’ll always be good weapons and bad weapons and even weapons that would be like why would we even use them like the Bell. At the same time though they all can be used but for certain roles they can pitch in. It’s just that the good ones would be used more as those are either more flexible to use or they could be used for only a few characters but the reward from those weapons can be great not to miss out

It's weird that they kept putting Amos on weapon banners even after it was put on wanderlust, which is where I got it. Tighnari can make pretty good use of it if you have one lying around, and it can work as a statstick for Fischl. Also Rust is good if you play Yoimiya or Tartaglia, though you need at least R4 for Yoimiya to make better use out of it than an R5 Slingshot.

The upcoming ganyu/baizhu weapon banner has definitely a place on this list too

The only weapon I ever tried to get was Yelan, I thought I would get more weapons for my characters but characters are added so fast

watching this gave me memories.......that I did not even summon on the weapon banner until Fischl's signature weapon came out, and later Alley Flash (for Benny). Been ages since Fiachl's signature has been out. Now that they have revealed Baizhu's weapon a few days ago (which I still want for Baizhu himself). I feel Amos Bow will pop out alongside Jadefall Splendor lol And yeah...collecting signature weapons since I like it

I, to this day, have not gotten a wolf's gravestone, but I did pull on unforged's first banner run. I got it, and it's served me very well up to this point, but now it goes to my eula. As to why, it's because dehya was gracious enough to provide diluc with a new bis claymore, and it's great.

I remember I rolled on the Polar Star release banner because Memory of Dust was on it and I wanted to build Ning, and Polar Star seemed "not bad" in my opinion. I ended up getting Polar Star instead of MoD and to this day I don't think I've ever dodged a bullet to that extent. Granted, it took me a whole 6 months to actually find a character to use Polar Star on, and even now I'm just using it on Ganyu, which isn't ideal, but at least I'm still using it. The only character I use occasionally that I'd use MoD on is Yanfei, but even then it feels like Widsith is just better

Hot take but weapon banner is no longer a scam since nowadays most of the weapons they put in there are actually good and substancial upgrades for your account, specially if you're looking for vertical investment.

I have skyward atlas R2, skyward spine R2 and the Unforge R2. Most of them I got from losing when I tried to pull engulfing 2 times, mistsplitter 3 times, redhorn. And still never get those weapons. Pain.

Except for a few moments of weakness, and in general being a money sink, I can't hate on the weapon banner. Several weapons commonly disliked still prove very useful. I appreciate Eye of Perception which works really well on Yanfei and Ningguang, if you can balance your crit ratio. Plus, the weapon banner is the only place I've rolled Diona.

I pulled for the unforged on purpose. I use Diluc and Eula a lot, especially with Zhongli, and in my defense, it was paired with engulfing so my Xiangling was pretty pimped out after.

I always weigh if both weapons have a use on my account. With that in mind, the Hunters Path/Vortex Vanquisher banner was good for me because I mainly use bow units and wanted HP for my Tighnari and I also needed a weapon for Xiao and VV is like his third best in slot after JWS and Homa, neither of which I have, or had a chance to get since pulling Xiao in June 2022. Also new units make older weapons more viable. Skyward Atlas is far better on Wanderer than the usual top dog of the Widsith due to him not being able to take advantage of the EM buff and its buffs overall down time. I got one on my F2P account gave it to him for an upgrade and gave the Widsith to Yanfei who makes much better use of it.

I was ounce without Jade Cutter. The Doghnut came out with Jade Cutter. Since then Inam R3 Doughnut and R1 Jade cutter.

It's funny how we gonna have another Donut + Amos situation on Baizhu's banner, since his signature is also a pretty niche HP% catalyst and he's paired with Ganyu xD

playing since release daily as f2p, having pulled first on mistsplitter then rerun staff of homa and rerun aqua simulcra only. (thank god Epitomized Path existed) got those weapons on standard banner and failed 50/50: 3x skyward atlas, skyward pride and skyward spine aswell amos bow and 2x staff of homa on last banner with aqua simulcra for 100 pulls pog

I find this video pretty neat not just because it talks about old banners, but because of the Maple Story sound track. You can make a cheap stake taste really good.

I was building pity for Homa(yes, I know it's a mistake) and ended up getting Alhaitham's weapon. It's a great weapon,but since I didn't pull for him I'm struggling to get the buff effects with my C6 Bennett and Kaeya (with chongboy's E). Kinda sucks when a weapon is too specific/exclusive

I wished on 3.0 trying to get sacrificial and got both of the 5-stars within 10 pulls of eachother. ;.; At first I was happy because I had just gotten Ganyu but.... Then I got Stonethrasher instead of Wanderer's Bell, and Calamity Queller instead of Mistsplitter in the last banner. You know the weapon banner is bad when I hope my standard banner rolls me a good weapon instead of going hard for it.

3.6 2nd half weapon banner probably going to be Amos Bow + Jadefall Splendor, that also has to be up there among the worst ones. 4-stars unknown though

i will say that after i started cooking more i’ve learned to understand the hate for well done steak. The table shakes while trying to cut it and it’s like trying to eat boot leather.

Saved 22 acquaint fate. Yesterday i decided to 20 pulls, expected to snatch maybe one Kaeya or Lisa. Left with one more the bells and favonius codex.

accidentally got the unforged a while ago and it sat unused until dehya came home, didn't bother getting her sig cuz apparently the unforged is somehow slightly stronger than her bis

a lot of weapon banners suffer because of A: better (and cheaper) choices, and/or B: the weapon type in general is not great. Claymores and most catalysts fall under B where going for damage and no utility generally results in not that great of an output, and going for more weird and non hyperdps focused ends up being better (mainly how overload burgeon razor does better than razor and hyper bloom eula does better than main phys dps eula). Catalysts are also a part of the B class, majority of dps catalysts are very average if built with damage in mind, swap them to be more supportive rolls and suddenly they become great (sucrose for example, or kokomi). The swords bows and spears are all big representatives of "i have cheap options that perform either better than 5* or the dps increase is so small that there is no need to change". stringless and favonius being probably easiest example, they all have also decent craftable varients.

I got Vortex Vanquisher bc I lost the 50-50, so I baaaasically convinced myself to get Shenhe now that she was finally back, just so I could slap that on her to make it useful and I may be coping but she's killing it with my Ayaka and has enough ER to still burst on CD.

It sounds like your main beef with steak is that it's too expensive for what you're getting. If that's the case, do you also hate wings and seafood? Because conceptually they're basically the same, whole cuts of meat that cost way too much.

When you give Kaeya's Aquila Favonia to Alhaitham because you wanted to give Kaeya the Light of Foliar Incision Sincerely, A Kaeya main (AF on Alhaitham still pretty decent. My artifacts for him though? Straight up garbaggio)

Geo weapons aren't that bad. Summit shaper is a pretty good pick on ayaka, vortex is a good pick on shenhe if you don't need the ER from fav. Memory of dust is not bad on nigguang, heizou and scara, and the unforged is okay for diluc/eula

The only weapons I've ever willingly pulled for was to try to get a Redhorn Stonethresher for my Xinyan. I only pulled until I got one 5 star, but I lost the 50/50 on both Redhorn banners i pulled on :c Maybe next time, Xinyan.

I've had and used a lvl60 bell on my beidou tinking it was good until a friend told me to look it up... I was ar 25 and didnt know anything about the game

Claiming to not like steak and then admitting to liking it well done is like claiming to not like fried chicken and then admitting to never seasoning it before frying. Like yea, you can eat it that way, but there's probably a reason that everyone that likes it as their favorite dish is telling you otherwise. 'Nough said, no long diatribe needed. But for me, variety is a must, steak, chicken, pork, if I eat any one type of meat too often, then it goes stall for me. Ate burgers most every day in college and I swore often them for nearly two years after. Also, good vid, your takes were pretty on point. There was much regret felt after pulling for the Unforged back in the day, only to realize the four star options were superior.

We got another amos bow and a really shitty catalyst banner with the ganyu/baizhu banner

the bell was useful in early game to me. Diluc was the first character I ever pulled (day one, first ten set, those free wshes yada yada, my luck is weird and I am SUPER greatfull for it), before I even got kaeya and lisa from the temples. And diluc, even at lv 90 and properly geared, is so squishy he might as well be sold by kelly toys. BUT I did not die often *because of the bell*. Do I recommend the bell for late game? Nope. But if you have a squishy main and you wanna protect his sad little bruce kinnie ass while he is hard carrying you though early game- it worked for me, that's all I'm saying. The moment I switched to the butcher knife forgeable was the moment I needed to get myself the nre bag.

The unforged isn't a bad weapon and Is worth getting. I got mines off of the mistsplitter banner and never regretted it (I honestly wanted to get it). It's used by my on field beidou and is wonderful. Honestly, I don't think any of the Zhongli looking weapons are bad in any way.

Steak does suck because its impossible to get good leftovers of. either there is not enough for leftovers because its so expensive there isnt any left over, or because there is no way to microwave it and it still be good. Pasta, pizza, any rice dish. Hell almost any other dish is superior if it can be microwaved. And if you can't have it the next day for lunch, why have it at all.

I think you underestimated rust it can be very good on a number of bow characters, but overall I think I would agree with what you said, and I'm sorry I have to say steak over hamburger might be expensive but darn tasty and better consistency than hamburger

I use summit shaper on Albedo I use to use it on Ayaka but I got mistsplitter now so Albedo is keeping it warm rn

The 1.2 banners have to have been the worst, i would go for. Unforged+Vortex Vanquiser even at the time when we had less weapons to choose from neither were best in slot for a single character.

When there was the unforged weapon banner with mistsplitter I purposely pulled for the unforged for noelle and lost the 50/50 I was trying to make noelle into more beefy shield tank tbh.

hoiw sad that the Liyue Series never had the chance to shine on any one of them. All because they're stuck with the same Sub Stats and Passive that mandates the wielder to be On Fielder. As bad as the Skyward Series are, at the very least Harp carried it.

My first ever limited 5 star weapon was Summit Shaper, trying to get Thundering Pulse on 2.8 🥲 (I didn’t get Thundering Pulse to this day, and btw my first 5 star weapon ever was the Skyward bow on standard banner)

Ok you just gotta cook your own steak then! it's not expensive at all and tastes great and all you have to do is 4-6 minutes of cooking. You don't even need sauces most of the time because salt and pepper can be more then enough for a good steak. And also most places serve shit steak and i wish i found out it sooner. Had my first good steak at like 21 years old

Okay, imma say this here, Memory of dust and the other 3 weapons in the series are not bad weapons. They simply take a bit more to build around as they are basically massive attack buffers with a bonus shield increase. That amount of attack you get from these weapons is also nothing to laugh about. I like to use my Heizou with MoD on a Shielded freeze team and oh boi, things die quickly.

I want the Summit Shaper so I can get each 5 star regions sword Monstadt: Aquila or Skyward, Liyue is Summit Shaper, Liyue is Mistsplitter Reforged, and Sumeru is Light of FI

Kokomi is actually no longer most commonly played as a support, but even as a driver, the Everlasting Moonglow just is not good enough to be worth it.

1.0 Weapon banner is funny to me cause at the time Venti's signature was Skyward Harp but they were probably holding it back for Childe's release in 1.1 LMAO

The Bell is still one of my favourite weapons in the game. Not for its usability, but for its design. I love how this thing looks, and I actually keep every single one of them to refine as many Bells as possible. Case in point, I gave a R5LV90 Bell to Dehya, and I only unequipped it after a friend dared me to pull for her weapon which I got from the first 10-pull. Besides, The Bell may be terrible overall, but I think it's a very nice beginner weapon to pair with Noelle. When you're just starting Genshin as a casual, this weapon can actually save your ass easily, and it sort of synergizes with Noelle on top of that.

Bruhh it depends on how or what purpose on that weapon I'm still using the bell for my Noelle coz my Noelle is just a shield and all her artifacts is for shield only so that's why I used the bell coz I can gain more shield for it yeah I know there's a other choice but dude I don't have that weapon you thinking so I have no choice to use it it's effective though

Layla can only use the sword but the jade cutter can do better with having dps increase, noelee can use the unforged but theres just some that cant be used no matter what.

If you use a shield, Unforged can be better than WGS. But I would never pull on an Unforged banner, because that weapon is ugly as sin. In comparison, I pulled for Mistsplitter recently and got Calamity Queller along the way. I have no use for it right now, but I might use it down the road, whereas I would actively feed Unforged to a Dull Blade.

The bell was my only 4 star for a long time along with noelle carried me

I lost in the weapon banner again, just like homa/Simulacra I don't mind getting either the Key or the lamp, instead it gave me Aquila Favonia 😡 I lost to skyward atlas last time on the homa banner whyyyy 😡😡

Anything with donut makes me run for the hills. Kokomi is the best healer but if her signature weapon is there I'm running away from that thing. At least the other weapons are usable to a certain extent, just not donut; that 5-star weapon breaks my heart

I just heard this dude say Skyward Atlas is the worst of the series and nearly lost it. I got it very early AR in game and it carried my team with huge ass damage. Looking at my 2.3K (normal) atk Yanfei, I’m so glad that this weapon actually came home. It also does extra physical damage, which is good to me as uh yk, damage is damage.
