I went to see Wicked back in June last year, and they were advertising that Laura was going to be onstage for the matinee performance. But when the show started and Elphaba ran out, it was actually Alice Fearn, who did an excellent job despite having performed at West End Live that same morning. Alice is definitely an amazing Elphaba, but I would like to see what Laura's performance in the whole show is like, as I've heard people say that her Defying Gravity is really good. The Fiyero understudy was also on for Bradley that day, and I don't think he'd been on very many times before as he forgot one of his lines during the train station scene in Act 1, poor guy, but he recovered well and carried on without too much hesitation.
@@zsoltnagy1696 i disagree, yes alice fearn’s vocals are absolutely incredible (go and see come from away) but laura brings more to the character in my opinion, laura sings and acts with more emotion and she makes the whole show better, she’ll be missed (by me at least)
@@edie8931 I agree with you, I prefer Laura's Elphaba to Alice's (though they are both extremely talented) - she just brings a certain sweetness and vulnerability to the character
@@edie8931 couldn’t agree more. i love alice but lauras elphaba is something special, her acting is amazing and her voice is CRYSTAL CLEAR perfect. i saw her 4 times and she never broke a sweat, a star throughout. i miss her :(
