Hey wide world of trains you should travel to Cleveland Ohio to watch trains because there are a lot of trains that go through there are three districts first Norfolk southern Cleveland district, Norfolk Southern Chicago district and csx Chicago district

I think they are going to put somekind of sensors on the tie and attach it to the rail so the wheel flanges will hit it.they are here also but green in color.just past the crossings.i am not sure. look exactly the same but just that different color.

Paint indicates a pipe/culvert under the tracks. It's to tell track patrols to check the culvert in case of heavy rain.

In southeast georgia I drove past a small shed like building with tracks running through it. I don't recall exactly where it is, but I did witness a train passing through it once. There appeared to be flashes from a camera inside as the train passed through it. Anyone know where it actually is, and what that building is for? It's on a small country highway road that runs a long distance with the tracks next to it. I think between Waycross and Jacksonville FL.

That is the new defect detectors that scans trains for defects using cameras and sensors. There is a RU-vid video out here that explains it

Hey wide world of trains, i got sad news but, the era of csx C40-8Ws has came to an end after csx sent the last one out of NC 2 days ago it arrived in cumberland to be either sent for long term storage, scrapped or rebuilt anyways nice job filming

a rare 4 grey day!! i counted 9 on the one!! those white stripes are boundary markers for what your guess is as good as mine but it's probably something to do with the signals seeing how close to the crossing they are and it's only the one side of the crossing! and you may have heard 2 horns some some reason i can't get an answer on sometimes when engines are linked together like that in those numbers more than 1 horn will blow!!

The lights on a crossing installation go on first and go off last. If all the gates are not up then the lights will just keep flashing. In this case the circuit for the pedestrian gates has an issue. Sometimes if the gates appear to be up but the lights continue to flash it may indicate that the gates did not engage in the fully upright position.

Probably a motive power move, shifting units to an area where they're needed or being moved to a shop for maintenance. Probably only the 3 front units were powered with the remaining 5 being moved Dead In Train (DIT.) All of the major railroads do this from time to time.

The one train had 8-engines and 146 cars. Very impressive. Engine #7 looked like a low number less than 100 but the lighting and speed of the train was too poor for me to see the other numbers. You say you have a ‘playlist’ of CSX engines below 100. Where is it? I can’t find it. Thank you for shouting out the lower train engine numbers.
