The art style did change in this arc BUT the openings art style itself was made like this on purpose . Not every opening has to be so detailed like how Wano openings were . They gave this opening this art style on purpose because it fits the current stuff that is taking place . You already know about Gear 5 and how it works well that is the main reason why this opening was made like this because it represents the mechanics of Gear 5 . This opening is visually personally one of the best openings that is created . For anime only it may have MANY spoilers but for a manga reader it is just straight fire !! For a manga reader this opening has SOOO many hidden easter eggs that anime only's won't understand or recognize . The anime iiself looks gorgeous as hell !!

Peak ass animation for a peak ass arc! Narratively this arc is definitely the best One Piece has to offer so far. So much raw emotion + lore/story dumps + 1v1s + Murder mystery = Final Saga Oda. Also, the animation used in the opening IS NOT THE SAME for the season (similar though, more detailed but looser).

The simpler line art makes it easier for animators to go buck wild with the animation, the crazy animation of Wano was likely part of the decision for it so they could keep it up in more episodes. If you've ever seen Mob Psycho, that's a really good example of what I mean, the characters have simpler designs with low line mileage but the animation goes crazy.

Egghead is the island of the future which is why the intro feels video gamey. They’re fitting the intro to the feel of the arc. Do not be fooled though, egghead is one of the more serious arcs we’ve had, shit really goes down there.

it's actually supposed to have a pastel water color feel to it. there's nothing wrong with it being like that though. mainly because it's like an artist's interpretation of it. it's like taking your own artistic liberties and putting them into an anime. but if you're going to say it lacks detail you may not be a one piece fan.

💙🧡💜 I personally like the kasenagi (no shadows) style of animation. It hasn't been used in the episodes all too much & I am happy that the characters are keeping their original designs & details. I enjoyed that little vulnerable moment at the end. Although, your hair could use a comb.

Why are they have darker skin because they also inherited lunarian DNA if u remember king back then at the wano arc. also all of seraphim is all original shichibukai clones. Edited: believe me this arc wasn't fun at all like the opening, this is the most darkest plot we've ever had.Oda will show everything will connecting to the dot

Call me weird but this animation reminds me of me a lot of dumb ways to die animation.

Tbh the opening overdoes the style a little, it doesn't really look like that in the anime, there is more detail, so I'd say the anime has 60% of the style they show in this opening. They made it work real well though, the fight scenes in the opening look fire with that style and I'm looking forward to see *ehm* the Hachinosu incident unfold in the anime. Also, this is shaping up to be one of the darkest arcs in One Piece and I'm so fired up for that, maybe the artstyle is made to contrast Joyboy to the messed up things that take place and we see in this arc, like despair vs hope you know, that's at least how it feels to me after reading the manga and what goes down in this arc. Tried to keep it as spoiler-free as possible, but let's face it, this opening is the least spoiler-free thing in this whole universe.

Bruh i too was a naruto fan and like u i thought narauto shippuden was the best in big 3. I was totally wrong because the more naruto gave one piece does it better. Like showing up of characters badass moments everything was perfect. So was watch the freaking show instead of going through the coolest moments and openings. One piece is a masterpiece even greater than bleach and naruto. It will take time to like the characters and their backstories but once you get it the emotions u get is insane, and luffy does a good job as the mc. And writer oda is a freaking genius creating the world building of op. So try to watch upto 300 espisodes then if its boring to u stop it.

please don't watch 60 fps anime. AI interpolation kills frame pacing and destroys all the hard work the animators did. artifacting from AI interpolated tweening makes a visual mess of what would be clean lines and dozens of hours of work.
