Examples of passive transducers include resistive sensors (e.g., thermistors, strain gauges), capacitive sensors, and inductive sensors. Passive transducers are simpler in construction, less expensive, and more rugged than active transducers but may have limitations in terms of sensitivity and dynamic range.
