#WhyRaftFoundation
Learn how to design without any sofware by using tributary area method.
For initial foundation selection and sizing tributary area method is very effective and quick solution. Also learn when a raft foundation is required over isolated footing.

you describe so well, if you do some video for designing combined footing and raft foundation it will be very helpful.

@@TonmoyMaity one more thing dada how you put the beam size (300X400) and column size (500X500). Are you assuming or design, if you please elaborate on that it will be very helpful to me.

hello sir. i have a misunderstaning. i see that the only parameter we consider is the location of the column (edge, central etc). A more stiff column or beam although, carries bigger loads than a less stiff right? So why don't we consider this parameter in the tributary area?

At 9:33 you talked about the tributary area for live load. Can we deduct the area of the column beacuse in reality the live and floor finish load is not going to exists there. If not why????

Sure.. you can

Sir why we take mid point for column while calculating the load? Plz explain

How do you do it with irregular buildings, like markets which dont often have columns in the middle?

It's a typical example only.

Thank you .. but in wall why you are made this (3.3-0.5)??? is that because have a drop beam ? and how you calculate 0.5

Brother, why are you not considered earthquake & wind load ??
@TonmoyMaity

Ha ha ha...does really lateral load govern the foundation design when building height is small?? Btw this method is for selecting the foundation at very early stages by hand calculation.(normally valid upto G+4 building)😊
@AbhishekKumar-qq3bk
@AbhishekKumar-qq3bk 2 года назад
@@TonmoyMaity But sir, these lateral loads will develop moment at the foundation and it can become critical ? please clear my doubt.

Why you multiplied by 6???the ground floor is rested on the ground directly.it should be multiplied by 5(1st floor slab +2floor slab+3rd floor slab +4th floorslab +roof slab)
