We are taking you today to one of the most powerful and richest Piast principalities in Silesia, which continued uninterrupted, although under the authority of various monarchs and states, until the mid-18th century. We will see the town hall with the largest stained glass windows in a secular building in Lower Silesia, a 13th-century church with rich sculptural decorations and one of the two peace churches that have survived to this day, made entirely of clay, straw and wood. Finally, we will plunge into reflection, in one of the toughest labor camps, where the average life expectancy of prisoners was only a few weeks.
