11:00 Can confirm the Sweet Fanny Adams story. We moved to the town, Alton, Hampshire, England, when I was 5 and the story was told to me as a cautionary tale to discourage me from wandering off and talking to strangers. We lived a few hundred yards from the flood meadows where the remains had been discovered, some parts floating on n the River Wey. I walked to school through the cemetery for years and saw the grave many times. The gravestone is quite ornate. I think little Fanny was 8 when she died in 1867.
In my area, local judges cooperated with private prisons to send children to privately owned "adolescent correctional facilities" (read: private prisons for kids). They would send these kids to these facilities for sometimes a decade at a time for minor offenses like shoplifting or public disturbance, with the sentences often being completely arbitrary. There was one case we're one of the kids was sentenced based on the amount of birds on a power line outside, with each bird corresponding to an additional month. Basically, these judges got a cut of money for every kid the sent to jail. Its called the "kids for cash" scandal.
My aunt was a recovering drug addict. Her boyfriend, while being a huge bit of gossip in small town Georgia because hey racism, was one of the best things that ever happened to her. Hd showed her that she was worth it. She was three months clean when a 'friend' from her rough days came begging for a place to stay. He said his house needed repairs, and she believed him. He proceeded to rob her and her boyfriend (bf was away on business) and then chase her down with a shotgun. He beat her with the shotgun and shot her several times, then dragged her under the house and left her there. Turns out he needed a place to stay because there was a warrant out for his arrest. He got six years. They couldn't justify a bigger sentence because apparently "the crime wasn't violent enough." Like wtf? Dude has like a year left and he's threatened my family since.
A little girl got killed here by her male babysitter. I think he was a neighbor. It's extremely heartbreaking. She suffered a lot and every time I think about it I want to cry.
I'm in the UK & about 7 or 8 years ago in my hometown, police & news crews stormed to a home a few streets away from me. Everyone was confused since nothing really happened much back then. To everyone's shock & horror, it was revealed to all that 2 bodies of young girls were found buried in the garden. The killer had moved out years before the new occupant moved in with her family but was arrested & is now serving life in prison although we never found out how the police learnt of the buried bodies. No one ever knew anything about it but some older residents brought up that they noticed the killer digging up the garden a few times but were told by him that he was planning some decorating & adding some patios & when they noticed no changes made to the garden, he said it was too much work or expensive or just didn't work out According to my mother, she knows the woman who lived there who said that her kids were always different when they went in the garden to play. She claimed the kids were always talking to someone & when she asked them who they were talking to, they would say the girl at bottom of the garden & what made this creepier was that her kids would describe 2 different girls. Their mother passed this off as imaginary friends but I can only imagine the shock & horror she must've felt when she learnt the truth That discovery had the neighbourhood on edge for awhile. I must've walked past that house hundreds of times when I was growing up, ignorant of the dark secret hidden there & I haven't walked past that house ever since
Some little old lady died of a heart attack but no one found her till a week later and her hoard of dogs (Like 10-15 dogs) had ate most of her remains because they were hungry. Crazy part is a bunch of people adopted the dogs even though they knew That the dogs might have eaten human flesh.
In my area long before I was born my mother heard this story about a neighbour family: a father, mother and a young son (about 3-4 years old). This child was forbidden from having any toys at all and if he made a noise he was scolded, he was just told “sit there and be quiet!” Well being little and energetic he started pretending to be an airplane ... the father heard him, came barrelling through the door, grabbed that poor little boy and threw him against the wall. He died instantly, and his “parents” went to prison for his death: the ‘father’ for causing it and the ‘mother’ for allowing it to happen. Still sickens me thinking about it to this day, I hoped they both lived _long_ lives, because I hope they suffered every second of that sentence, one thing about prisons even the condemned have a sense of right and wrong, and hurting an innocent child is basically a death sentence (especially when during the time this story was supposed to have taken place the guards would pretend not to notice if “that kind of prisoner” were in trouble) 😡😡😡 R.I.P little angel 🕊🕊🕊
My own story here. I’m from a not so small town, about 60k people. Back in 2015, I was 14, I went to a park to meet up with a bunch of friends, and we got to the park there were police everywhere. Turns out there was a guy who hung himself. A couple days later, two more people were dead. Same place. Shot in the face with a shotgun. Thought to be a murder and then suicide, but it wasn’t possible, as both shells were on the ground. Shotgun was a lever action, and for the shells to be on the ground, someone needed to manually eject them. Gun was that of one of the victims, covered in his prints, and only his. To this day (6 years later), it is still listed as unsolved. So, somewhere in our town, theres a guy who shot two other people in the face with a shotgun. Fun fact, that same park is where one big high school does graduation.
Charles Starkweather - the only time my Mom wouldn't let me play outside. A few years ago there was a lawyer in my neighborhood who was having financial problems. He couldn't take it anymore, so when his kids got home from school on a Friday afternoon, he killed them, and then killed his wife when she got home from work. He called the military school his oldest son was attending, told them that his mother had died, brought his son home and killed him also. He wrote a letter to the local police and mailed it on Saturday morning and then killed himself. They lived in the only two story house in the neighborhood. After the murders, the house was up for sale for over two years with no offers before a minister finally bought it. No one wanted to buy a house with a reputation like that.
I hate people who do that. It’s like, if yah wanna off yourself, then do it. But don’t take the whole family with you! If there is a hell, I hope he’s there.

The one I remember from my childhood is that a family leaves their Front door open two men come in to rob the place. they tie up everyone in the basement however the oldest daughter just is coming home from a sleepover and knocks on the door. one of the people basically tells the mother to go up and tell the daughter to leave or come in. The mother opens the door and starts Practically begging the The friend and the friends mother to take her kid back. They don’t understand and they drop off the kids and leave the next day they’re all found dead in the basement. The friend and the mother are consumed with guilt. And I remember this so clearly because my parents made an effort to lock the doors and to make sure that before entering if it’s open don’t go in. The girl was only 13 years old. Even now I’m not sure if they were caught or not
My small-town story: a girl was stabbed by her boyfriend at a party then he and a friend of his broke into her house and killed one parent, waited overnight for the other to come home (from visiting her at the hospital), and killed that one, too. Also, my neighbor's (and former friend) 10-year-old cousin from a small town died in a freak accident in his home. No one at fault, no one to blame, it was just a horrible coincidence. I knew him since he was born and he was such a cute, smart, nice kid.
@@BeingMikhail Girl was arrested a year or two later for possession of illegal firearms and selling drugs while pregnant with a violent convict's child. A judge let her out on probation after serving 2 years of jail time and by then baby daddy had reoffended and was back in jail. She left town and no one has heard from her since. BF got the death sentence and his friend got 25 years to life.

I am my hometowns horror story. I dressed in a while morph suit and put on a deer antler headband and ran around the woods for a while. I'm very good at climbing and my bearcrawl is super quick. Even got shot at lol
That first one made me think. We had something really similar happen in my home town. We where staying in the house across from the family, I think the little girl was playing in the driveway when her dad ran over her head. Luckily I don't think the brother was outside.
Actually happened to a dear friend of mine who lived a block away from me. Our area was hurricane prone. So her house lost power and her dad in all his wisdom gets a generator going. Inside their garage because he didn't want it outside in the rain. Whole family got CO2 poisoning and I found out from the news. Was too nervous of random well wishes wanting to feel like good people smothering them to visit. Edit: realized I should have clarified! Visit her in the hospital! They all survived.
Bodies in the Barrels...Bear Brook State Park... I lived in the Pembroke/Allenstown area of NH when I was a young teenager and used to go to Bear Brook ALL the time with my family.. gives me the CREEPS to this day !!!! I was young teenager and I'm 51 now...
Lived in Lockport, NY. A few years ago some kids went into a papermill and one of them set a stack of paper on fire. The fire got the other kid and I guess they though the survivor did it on purpose idk.
Dude kept big cats and exotic animals. Was gonna be arrested but killed himself and let the animals out first. This happened when i was like 10 i think.
I have two. One was a guy who shot his gf in front of the local McDonald in the middle of the day in front of not only their two young kids but also 11 others who had been playing in the play place. It splattered the window in front of a six year old. The second is a lady who used to be my neighbor, an elderly woman’s son hired her to be a caretaker for his mother. A little while later he walked in on her sitting in a pool of this old lady’s blood drunk and drugged out of it. She had bitten the elderly woman just hard enough to make her bleed then kept biting until she was dead.
My mom used to work for Pizza Hut in our town. She was out on a delivery not far away from work, and she found out that not even 20 minutes after she left, the owner of the house got shot and killed
Our town has about 700 people and is basically in the middle of no where nz. A kid who was 11 was left with a kids who was about 8 or so they were family friends; while the mums went down to the local pub (common thing here) the 11 year old got annoyed at the kid and stabbed him to death then walked to his dad's house and the mum of the 8 year old found her son when she got home
About 5 or so years ago a woman posted a Craigslist ad selling baby clothes, and when a pregnant woman came over to buy them, she stabbed the woman and cut the baby out of her. Then she told her husband that it was her own baby and they went to the hospital. The real mother called 911 and the police found her. She got medical care and survived, but the baby died. The woman who did it got 100 years in prison for it.
Two mystery murder-suicides in my home town. 1. A young couple parked their car on a hillside in the bush (forest) threaded a rope through the open windows, tied each end to a tree on each side of the car, got back in and drove at high speed down the hill. It took the police a while to find one of their heads and I don't think a motive was ever discovered. 2. The father of a seemingly happy family was seen on the roof of their house by neighbours. He seemed to fixing something. A day or two later, they were all found dead inside. He had rigged up the gas to kill them. Again, no motive could be found and it was not known if the wife knew he was going to do it. Neither were the worst things to happen there, unfortunately, but one involved the murder of children and both were apparently without motive. Edited for clarity. Twice.
One that happened very recently from my hometown -- a woman who had been secretly having a relationship with her half-brother had a bunch of kids with him, and in an act of desperation, killed the two oldest sons (no older than 12 I think?). The remaining children were devastated and are still struggling with it, and the home they lived in got pulled down only very recently. Not even the council could justify keeping it after that.
The teenage friend of the son in like the 2nd to last story or whatever .. I bet you that poor guy probably ended up with pretty bad survivor's guilt. Choosing to only flee and not try to save his friend or anyone, and the fact that there was speculation after about it.
Netflix - Dream Killer We are all in the same grade and all went to school together. I went to Europe with the victims daughter the summer before he was murdered. It wasn't by these two, tho Chuck fucked a cat at a party in highschool and everyone wanted nothing to do with him after that. The prosecuting attorney was so dirty they had to go through years of his previous convictions because there was too much shady shit occurring. This case ended up making him a judge. He used the guy who is actually guilty of the murder as a witness to help solidify his case against these kids.
In my town a flatbed truck long steel beams was trying to illegally turn around on divided highway. It didn't have any of the lights or flags it was supposed to. A truck couldn't see where the steel beams were still protruding into the street even though the truck wasn't. It took the top of the cab and the head of the driver clean off. Unfortunately his seven-year-old daughter was curled up asleep in the passenger side to witness all of this but since she was curled up on the seat she was short enough to not be hit by the beam.
My neighbor murdered a pizza delivery guy. And I mean like they were my next door neighbor. They would stare at my friends and I playing outside and we always got creepy vibes from them
Lee ford murders happened about half a Mile from my childhood home, and he buried two of the bodies not 500m from my grandparents place a few miles away
Not exactly my city but i go there every year This year in april a psychopath invaded a daycare with two machetes and killed 3 children and 2 teachers From what i heard the father of one of the childrens couldnt see his daughter because she was decapitaded,the firefighters didnt want him to see her in that state It isnt a supernatural story or a terror tale but imagine a baby of 1 year old being killed with a sword
the bolingbrook is of course Drew Peterson killed his ex wife Kathleen in a dry tub and then later his wife Stacey goes missing is never seen again he killed her too because she was gonna leave him and she knew also what he did to Kathleen now he is serving a long sentence for not just Kathleen but also for trying to hire a hitman in Prison to kill the Prosecutor who put him in Prison for Kathleen's murder I hope one day he will be charged for Stacey's murder and that she will be found for the sake of her family to have a place to lay her to rest and for her kids to finally know Daddy lied Mommy did not leave them to run off on a vacation and never come back and she did not leave them for a man
This happened around 1984, so before my time but relatively recent. A black family bought a house in the burbs right next to the country club that the rich all white town exclusively used. House burnt down within a month, thankfully no one died. Spooky part is that I’m from NY. Tho with the number of confederate flags flying you could mistake the town for a transplant from the south
I used too live in a town called friendship (I moved away not that long ago), and it's past was dark. It used too be called blood town I think or something like that. But it used too have a lot of gang violence and murders. So they changed its name and a lot of it stopped. But now it's a small town you can't do dick shit in. Seriously you couldn't even go too your friends house because it was far away for you too walk and most parents were assholes.
In 2002 a cop murdered his wife who was a beloved elementary school teacher cause he was dating a female Detective, the douchebag was one of my highschool resource officers at one time the story ended up on a episode of NBC's Dateline..it was pretty screwed up..when I saw his pic behind the red and white checkered wall of Ryan High on the show I quickly remembered the guy.and I remember him being a scuz kinda like wooderson from dazed and confused to the older girls but I didn't think he'd stoop to murder..pretty screwed up..but yeah it was Denton Texas 2002…
A woman in my town killed her husband then tried for several days to burn his body in the bathtub. She kept walking down the street to the gas station. 2 gallons at a time. She couldn't keep him hot enough for long enough. She was caught due to the smell.
Drug bussiness, apparently someone discovered odd thing happening, and got killed, his body was dismembered they found one part in a trash bin near a restourant and the rest was divided in other place they had to go on other city to find the rest, the people were said to have been caugh but story say that it was a big circle with powrrful people so, they may have got out of it and gave fault to other.
Three house down from where I lived in Plainfield, New Jersey a man stabbed his ex wife to death and put her body under a table visible to the street from the back yard this was back in 2017
My mom's cousin knew David Faraday, one of the first victims of the Zodiac Killer. She used to carpool with him to school and told me about the day she came home to her mother telling her what'd happened to him. I was familiar with the Zodiac but hearing it from her was a totally different experience.
I live in a small neighborhood in Pittsburgh it only has like 200 houses 15 years ago some guy killed his wife and then killed himself it was only 4 houses away from my house. Me and my wife were on vacation at the time. We didn’t know those people we had seen them around but they kept to themselves.
