This is a short and brief explanation for anyone who is interested in knowing what Zakat is, and perhaps have heard of it but not quite sure what is it.
There are systems/websites to help calculate how much one needs to pay and there are great charity organizations that help with the distribution of giving the Zakat.
Please keep the poor, hungry, and needy in your thoughts and prayers.
Food, water, and shelter is something people in first world countries can take for granted, but just imagine if we were on the other side of it, not being able to access clean water. Wouldn't we wonder why the more privileged won't help more?
