What issues do we have and how does everything work on our “NEW” Tractor? First Drive! 

Ground speed pto was popular on 100 & 500 series Massey's for lime spreading contractors, I still have a Massey 135 with groundspeed pto the pto turns at a speed relative to the ground speed of the rear wheels. Not sure but I think a few Italian built tractors had groundspeed pto due to the very hilly terrain in parts of Italy.

Great tractor. Only use ur creeper gears for shallow soil engaging equipment. Not a mole plough. U can risk breaking a gear tooth. Nice video.

Tidy tractor ground pto can be used for lime spreading or buy a ground muck spreader as for smoke yes oil change ore maybe burning of carbon as our one does

the glow plug button is for colder countrys like poland russia you have to bear in mind these tractors are probabley more common in other countrys made for there climates and conforts hence the quirky layouts sold all around the wourld but only one design to keep costs down

you should of seen our old 1.3 cdti corsa do a cold start was like watching the red arrows turn there smoke on at displays .For a cold start no glow plugs she,s a peach. 👌

I have been told that ground PTO can be useful. For example if using a potato harvester and you get a stone stuck in it, you can drive the tractor backwards a free the obstruction. Some Massey Ferguson’s had ground PTO. That’s not a lot of smoke, I have driven worse. After locking the pickup hitch, lower you lift arms slightly taking the weight off your lift and load on the hydraulics.

Hi creep gear is not normally for use in high torque applications its normally used for veg planters or hedge cutting

I wasn’t familiar with SAME before watching your vids - just found out it is Italian and stands for Società Anonima Motori Endotermici and is pronounced Sah-may! Every day is a school day.

The silver range from the 80 to 130 should have 4 speed pto 540 1000 540 eco and 1000 eco the leaver behind handbrake is your ground drive leaver behind that is your eco and normal pto speed and that leaver side backend is for 540 and 1000. Them 5 dials under cover top left is depth stop tip right height stop not to familiar on middle one bottom left is speed arms drop if using the blue switch and right bottom us arm dampening if lift arms all way to top on road with it cranked to 2 o clock it stop it bouncing so much with weight on back the 5 th big button by diff lock is called sba as max said it cuts diff lock out at certain angle aswell as it cuts 4wd off after I think 15 or 20kph around there somewhere

Looks a great machine ...only thing I would add is the coolant on those same tractors is a thing of its own... never put water or generic antifreeze or anything else in the cooling system only ever the genuine sdf coolant..other than that with regular servicing and greasing ect she should be a winner

Tidy tractor and it sounds good, a service may help the smoking, but may need the injectors serviced 👍

Hi, the dream machine... Can I suggest you get Mike to fabricate a bracket to raise the hand brake lever into a higher position, so Max can reach it and it becomes second nature for him to use it as at present he isn't....🤔

Watch out for coolant in oil great lively engine but they are a wet liner design and the seals used to be prone to going around 4000 hours . Some people used say if coolant was changed regularly prevented it however was never mentioned in manuals, its not a terrible hard jib to do heads off sump off can be done without removing engine.. I'd to do it with one in 2012 cost 1200euro though ...a lot of gaskets required with turbo manifolds heads exc..also important to keep good battery in them I think gearbox is in danger if voltage drops too low however that's a later model one so that could be remedied by then ... Best of luck with it looks to have been well minded whoever owned it previously..

land drive is live drive probabley for older equipment like older tractors probabley used alot in other countrys with older equipment

Hi James them tractor engines sould be heated when the engine is cold and that sould stop the smoke

There onley one way that bfins out and thats get on it youl soon find out

Land drive could be for powered axles on trailers?

is it a 4 or 6 cylinder engine........the earlier Same's were air cooled ..........i got a 2008 and 2015 Explorer's there both water cooled.......i don't know when they changed over

land speed pto is nothing new as zetors had that years, creeper box is not used for heavy work, it sounds like it has a misfire on start up hence the smoke. had to laugh when you said its been so well looked after as the plastic is on the roof but engine oil filter is rusty lol id rather the engine had been looked after as the cab roof wont stop working. the rear tyres have a ton of tread but are perished between the treads
