Dude, You Keep Me 😂 Laughing. And I'm an old crustey guy. I purchased a 1993 Chevy Suburban. I was looking for content for my OBS you popped up. Keep umm coming. You have a natural comedic talent!.
I've dailied my 92 suburban for quite a while now and its pretty much the idea vehicle imo. Super easy to fix, cheap, and gets a lot of attention. Probably the most accessible way to get the "classic car experience" while also having a solid daily. So amazing to see that this video blew up, super proud of you bro. Kinda sad I hadn't gotten to see this sooner.
I've worked in Kitchen jobs, Welding, spray Foam insulation, tire shops, call center, and now a Walmart. I have NEVEEER heard anything as satisfying as that tree falling.
I put my ‘87 S10 in the ditch during the winter back when I was his age. No damage to the truck as the snow was a cushion but I was thankful that I had my seat belt on as I was dangling about 1/4” away from the steering wheel. Worn it ever since. Plus the cops here in NY hammer the tickets
Got an '03 rcsb stepside with a 4.8. Good truck, so far reliable and can get out of its own way. Trans fluid never changed after 190k, praying it stays together! Love from a ford guy 😊
“Little bit of backstory about me.” 👆 *continues to accelerate* “A little bit of backstory about me.” 👆 *accelerates again* “A little bit of backstory about me…”
Just got a notification that someone liked my last comment so I checked the video again and MAN this is blowing up for you considering it was posted just a few days ago. Congrats dude, the channel's only gonna get bigger from here!
I still drive my late dad's 1994 Chevy K1500 4x4 5.7lt auto-tranny with just over 139'000 original miles and I drive it roughly 500 miles a week and yes proper maintenance and yes when something breaks I just go get it fixed and she gives me close to 100% reliability which is what I need to have and I feel like my late dad is right there in the passenger side when I go out on it !! The old Chevy motto use to be way back in the day !!! A quart of oil, a gallon of gas let no other car pass for this is what my late Grandma Keen told me when I use to sit and talk with her many moons a go !!! If you take care of them they will take good care of you !!!
I bought a 1997 Chevy k1500 with 160,000 miles on it. 5.7L 350. I have daily driven it for two years now as my only truck. Paint is in amazing condition, interior has those tough cloth seats that don’t rip, I got a dash skin installed on the dashboard. Replaced that horrible Bluetooth aftermarket radio with the factory CD/Cassette radio that sounds 100x better. Replaced the speakers with quality ones. I get 10 mpg city, 15 mpg highway. The truck has given me NO problems and drives smoothly.
I always chuckle when people react to 90s vehicles like they're classics... i think im getting old! Lol. To me, that's just a 'normal' vehicle. Not a classic, but not some fancy smartphone with wheels like the new stuff.
My first vehicle was a 1991 K1500. Fast forward over a decade it’s seen me in the army, have a son, and multiple trips across the states. It’s still my daily driver
Obs Chevys and gmc’s are some seriously under appreciated workhorses. Most I see around my parts are beat to death and got the banana stance with them fell through cab mounts.
I miss my pa's old OBS. He got it for free from a budy because it shifted weird. It was a sensor and needed a water pump. Only had like 40k and lasted forever. Up until the divorce that is.
I'm daily driving a carburated 2.8 liter inline 6 in germany. I can't afford gas so I'm always in debt but the looks and compliments I get for the car are worth it
I wish my grandfather would've kept his 88' GMC sometimes. Red/black 2 tone regular cab rwd long bed with the 350 and a posi rear. He traded it on the 99' jellybean Ford I daily now. But then again I can't complain about that truck either because my F150 has also outlived a 2011 GMC (that I lost a lot of money on) that I bought to replace it lol.
I know the name but I can’t picture him. I know who you are talking about tho. I really appreciate that man. Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment
I daily drive my 1994 Chevy truck over 10 years no problems once forever and I had a 88 gmc before my 94 best 2 trucks I ever have wished I hadn’t sold my 88 but I’m about to park my 94 do some work on it start fixing it up
These are about the oldest truck you can get that are classic but still feel like a modern truck driving it. An '87 square body is great but it's still a 1973 truck and rides like a hay wagon if it's a 4x4 and an '88 is a spaceship in comparison.
Estimated of course. But around how much did the whole swap cost. Just the swap and tune? Really thinking about when/if mine dies if I want a 454 or a 5.3/6.0. I can’t deceived
@wword So let me be 100% honest that isn't a fair question I run a repair shop and we don't do stuff like this I just did it but my pic is my truck in my shop you can see the red lift arms next to it lol but all in under $1000 parts and labor but I owned a avalanche I daily drove for 3 yrs I used for parts and I did the swap in a weekend by myself but that is with what I needed to buy including shorty block hugger headers mounts and brackets wiring harness and custom ypipe and fire tablet for digital dash and tune and actually paying labor to use the shop but i got paid to do my swap so it almost evened out so what I paid and what someone else would pay are vastly different
I daily a 97 k2500 with a 5speed and a 6.5 extended cab with a family of 4 and the kids are in car seats. Truck is also getting rebuild i wouldnt have it anyother way
@wword order a hole new front and rear end. Trans has been rebuild with a taller 5th gear waiting for the red steering to come in as well brother end i are building a custom flat deck as well sitting on 33s as well
