Amanda and I went to Park City Utah and rode one of the fastest Mountain Coasters in the world. We also rode the Alpine slide.

The one time we did this was awesome. My sister though lost her phone on the ride and was determined to get it back. The only thing was it was starting raining and lightning quickly came after. She was allowed to ride it one more time to locate her phone. She saw it on the way down and decided to walk up the side of the mountain in the rain with lightning going on around her. She is walking next to a metal track with water everywhere. She ended up getting her phone back but wow what a risk.

Love ❤️ Park City Utah I’ve skied there so many times and loved every minute of it but it was so nice of you and Amanda to show off the summer activities they have which by the way look amazing and you and Amanda riding down the mountain together looked way cool and i could tell by the sounds of your voices that you were loving every minute of it as it should be and the single rider slide also looked like so much fun but I can’t forget the breakfast and lunch you showed which by the way both meals looked amazing so thanks for such a gorgeous day at Park City Utah I had a blast hanging out with you and Amanda and of course your friends now with that being said peace ☮️ love ❤️ to you Chris Amanda and Miles and I’ll see you on the next Provost Park Pass adventure wherever it takes you peace ☮️ out ✌️

my favorite breakfast is Caseys Breakfast pizza, i also like my homemade bisciots and gravy, french toast, breakfast burritos, tacos, and the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. lately i have been doing a mini pancake and sausage breakfast sandwich. Aww Shelley, this broke my heart! I felt this emptiness when my oldest joined the military straight out of high school then 10 months later a 14 month deployment to Iraq War while his brother that is a year younger was leaving fir college! I felt so helpless as a mom you always protect our kids but when they're so far away you initially feel like you cannot do your job. Trust me that it does get better until then reach out to support groups, pick up a new hobby to stay busy, and utilize video calling as much as you can to help you through! You're not "losing" him, he us just spreading his wings! You surely did a great job raising him for him to feel confident enough to move away from his comfort zone and start fresh! Good job momma!

Park City is a lot of fun. That mountain coaster is pretty insane. SO much up there The Bobsled experience on the actual olympic run is on my list. Great food up there as well.

Reminds me of Action or should I say traction Parks Alpine slide. One guy was flying down and flew off striking his head on a boulder and died. They closed the park but it's reopened, closed and then it reopened. In the winter it was a ski resort and now they've upgraded it with tubes and rails for snowboarders as well.

I grew up in Park City and we still often go to the resort for the Alpine Slide and the Mountain Coaster in the summer (and the Olympic Park for the jumpers and high divers like in your recent video). I like to listen music while riding the slide or coaster. On the way up, I usually listen to one of the versions of Soarin’ (especially fitting on the chairlift) or The Rocky Mountains by Tim Janis(it’s used as area music for Grizzly Peak Airfield in DCA). On the way down, I listen to something faster like Space Mountain, California Screamin’, or Test Track. I can definitely personally attest that you can get yourself hurt on the Alpine Slide if you’re not careful. I tried racing my dad once as a boy and ended up sliding down on one of my ears for what felt like a good while. Thankfully, there were no serious lasting effects, but my ear was scraped up good for a bit. Some of our other favorite activities are getting ice cream at Java Cow and books at Dolly’s Bookstore. Both are on Main Street in Park City.

I’ve done the alpine slide near Mt. Hood in Oregon so much fun! I didn’t fly off but I flipped over and scraped my arm up the side of slide. I finished my ride and rode again! Love the alpine slide.

We did this in Mount Hood Oregon and I did it with no brakes and flew off curve I’ve got scars still and it was the most fun ever!

So what do the levers do? At the top do they release you from the chain? Do you have to re-engage them to slow down near the end? That's crazy! But fun looking.

As I have gotten older, the speed I am willing to go down alpine slides has decreased accordingly. I remember racing down mountains on those sleds, but the last time I rode one, I crawled down the hillside. I much prefer alpine coasters being locked to the rails…just wish they didn’t have the integrated speed limiters. Feel like I am never able to get quite as fast as I want before it kicks in and auto brakes.

Interestingly enough, it didn’t look to scary to me. (And this is coming from a guy who’s too chicken to ride the incredicoaster) But I can tell by the screams that it probably was.
