Has anyone ever looked at WHY people are coming over the border in droves to a "better life in America" . Why not create jobs in Mexico that help feed industry in the U.S. like parts manufacturing , fruit growers, etc that feed the US. and Canada with products to complete the manufacturing of autos , tractors, and other things that are finished and consumed in the US. The original doctrine of the North America free trade agreement was a co-operation between these 3 countries to bring products to market to be consumed by the greater population in a cost effective way so that all people , consumers , and governments work and thrive with a North American marketplace idea .Each economy would thrive by feeding the 3 with products at the lowest cost to the consumer . Would this not deter China from invading our markets with cheap duplicates by educating consumers in these countries that their products that they produce help them keep jobs alive in North America? Could tariffs not be imposed to at least make the Chinese products comparable in price . I know this is a simple economic methodology but it works if all co-operate. I visited texas over the summer and people there are less hostile about the situation than I thought. A huge group near the border would actually constantly leave big jugs of water and little toys for people and children crossing over. I think all humans are connected, and that will never be broken. This is a governmental and political issue that has accumulated into a big mess due to years of negligence, and its sad that we citizens are getting pulled to hate each other.

I lived in San Diego for about 5 years. Used to go to TJ to shop on weekends. Parked at border, walked across, got a cab for $5 straight to Revolucion St. Shopped, $5 cab back, walked across the border, didn't even see border patrol on ramp, back to car, back to Normal Heights. We went to Texas once, my step mom's mother took 2 kids home with her. I'd have done the same damn thing. They got to know her during the stay and cried to go home with her. She raised them and put them through school. The oldest one stayed but the youngest missed his mother terribly and she put him on a plane back to Mexico. They became family and the oldest one died at 28 years old. The youngest one flies in and loves to visit holidays. They didn't grow over 5 foot tall and I think bc of malnutrition. That boy sent his paychecks home when he was just 15 years old. 😭 RIP Nay

I work right on the border wall downtown El Paso with a company that works with the railroad and yeah I’ve seen a lot of people crossing its pretty crazy being up close to what’s happening .
I believe if someone truly wants to live and work in the United States, they should prove their loyalty by going through the process of becoming a citizen. I am for immigrants, not illegal immigrants.

They are our neighbors and friends all which just want a pathway to citizenship that does not take 10 years and thousands of dollars. We need a system that is not broken. I like the idea of having a easy path to citizenship but if you fail to pay taxes or you commit a crime (excluding misdemeanors) you get deported no exceptions. We were founded on this notion and I support it. Know a couple of people who crossed and now have citizenship. They love America. 🇺🇸🇲🇽
Problem exists because of politically impotent Congress which includes our local representatives in the lower Rio Grande Valley of Texas.Many people come to our emergency rooms since the "free" medical care in their country is not addressing their problem. Some come too late and unfortunately die in our hospitals and not because of negligence by anyone on our side of the border.
Can't continue to overwhelm our country with invasions. These people must be able to combat, push back against the injustices, aggressors in their own countries. Empower the common citizen to stand up, say enough is enough and fight back for their own countries. Stop being victims, instead become empowered to be courageous, determined, even pissed off to regain control and prosper in their own countries.

Most people don't understand the dynamics of living on the border. I grew up in McAllen, Tx. and have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. Honestly, I'm pro immigration reform, but also pro wall. There's too much "the bad, and the ugly" to keep parts of the border open and easily crossable, not only for the immigrants, but for the Americans that are enforcing the law there. It really did touch my heart seeing how much compassion the border patrol have on immigrants, and it makes be proud to be human. Securing national borders is a topic that every country deals with, and obviously becomes complicated when theres such stark differences of neighboring countries. I hope and pray we can figure out how to reform immigration so that more people can come here for better opportunities, but also, I hope and pray that other countries are doing what they can to better the life of their own people.
Why did you end the video without stating that these kids were brought to border patrol already to sick to save. Blame the real criminals.... not the system.... Great video, but the end content was misleading! As if border patrol was given a kid in great health and within 3 days the child had a plague!
Given the last few months numbers of border apprehensions, 100,000 per month 40,000 of which were minors, and only 3 deaths.... and you know most of these people were in bad shape, dehydrated and hunger, but only 3 out of 450,000 have died, sounds like good numbers to me!
