I'm a VIT at ThredUp. If an item is not as described you can still return/get a refund on Final Sale items. Lots of times the measurements are way off or there are holes or stains. You just have to work your way thru Chat or E-mail customer service. Upload photos of holes/stains.
My opinion, don’t buy from them. No refunds, only a credit, and there’s a restocking fee for each return items. For example, I had to return 3 dresses, restock fee was $12.
Ive ordered from thredup twice. Both times, I ordered 5 items. First time, I kept only one. That was a few years ago now and the return policies were more generous than now. What I ordered wa supposed to be in excellent, like new condition, but what I received had stains or holes or both. This time - and now they charge $3.99 restocking fee per item and if you want a refund, it costs you $10.99 for a shipping label - I'm keeping three. Again, items were supposed to be in excellent condition, but one item has GLITTER GLUE on the hem, and one dress is missing a (removable) shoulder strap. They're waiving restocking fees for those items since there was a quality issue, but I still have to pay $11 for a shipping label if I want my money back instead of a store credit. I am NOT happy with Thredup.
How much did you return and what did the restocking fees total to? I took my measurements and want to place an order but don’t want to pay $20+ dollars in restocking fees
I think I only kept the jeans so they put the $20 styling fee towards it! I double checked other sites and found I was getting a really good deal on them! :)
Thredup charges $3.99 PER item restocking fee. I returned 5 items today and lost around $20.00. Then they charged $10 for return shipping. So I only received $70 of the $100 that I paid for the items. You'll definitely lose money if you have to return anything. I don't recommend this company
woahhh, so sorry lol, I commended on my phone and thought this was my stitch fix video you commented on hahaha. I had free restocking fees & shipping because of the hole in the fabric for the skims pieces, but if they wouldn't have allowed that I wouldn't have returned because it would have basically been like me paying for the item again just for them to take it back! I think you have to go into thred up more final sale like a thrift store, or plan on selling your pieces on postmark or something if you don't like them (unless it's an expensive item and returning it makes sense at that point)
