My husband had an affair too. He moved out to live with her 5 months ago. He still sees our children. With dating again whenever that time is right, my big stumbling block is.... How WILL you know if that person is the right person? Because I thought the same of my husband too
Hey Emily, first, thank you very much for watching this video and for being so open to share this part of your story. I want to tell you that you are doing incredibly well given what you’re going through. The fact that you’re even watching this video says that you are constantly striving to do the best for yourself and your kids. I don’t know if we can ever truly know because I thought the same of my ex husband too but people have free will and unfortunately can make poor decisions that change that. I always pray and ask God to help me determine if this is the right relationship for me as well as confiding in my therapist and close family and friends. I think you have to take it day by day and see if their actions are aligning with their words. Your doing amazing mama! 🌷🫶🏼

I understand it all, and I came to conslucion it is not worthy. I am happy single, no more drama and no more stress and that's doesn't mean I am not healed. I just consider relationship unecessery anymore, Actualy we don't need to be in a relationship o be happy and that is just a fact. We can have friends and that's all.

You're so courageous! It's been a year for me as well but I still can't date. I'm afraid of men.. it's probably going to take me one more year to heal I think. Hopefully 😅
I’ve just stumbled across your channel. I loved this - I’m more than twice your age (!!) but could resonate a lot. I divorced 5 years ago after a 25 year marriage. I’ve dated during the past 5 years and had a couple of relationships but it can be hard. I’m still learning ! Well done on such a great video x

Thank you for sharing 🙏 the sentiments from 13:00 onwards are what I'm kinda resonating with at the moment, learning that I am okay on my own and that there is no rush to move forwards, but to find a solid base in myself first. If something happens, great! But equally if it doesn't, great! Just let life play out for a while and allow time to heal.
Of course if your most important priority in life is marriage, not your sanity, mental health, safety, let alone happiness you can say "It's all about how badly you want the marriage to work" I would instead say it's all about how lucky you are AND how well you know your spouse and yourself before marriage AND how much are you willing to work and grow together
