@@tylermalovich4875 That's perfectly reasonable and understandable as to why you may not like Aqua. I was speaking more on the current season play ins rather than past sets. I do like both ScaryD and Aqua though and i wasn't trying to take away from Scary making it. It just felt like a lot of Aquarius' work in this tournament was overlooked.
God, I wish i'dve been able to watch this set. It hurts that sam didnt make his way back in to the spl and wasnt as lucky as stu, but bobby's comeback was a story in it of itself, especially now that hes back in it with stu. What a fantastic edit of a crazy set, great stuff as always dannyboi
I watched this set with my son and brother on our way to vacation for the week and we were all cheering the gladiators because I’m a big fan of Bobby, Kyrmi, and Scary D. My wife who hates smite was even cheering! After some of those plays my son (who is 3) would just scream let’s go Bobby! This set was SO FUN to watch! Hope everyone is having a good day!

Stu has to have had the wildest 3 months of a career ever. From worlds runner up and crowd favorite to having to play into the spl to failing to qualify only to get picked up as a replacement for [redacted] like a week after the play ins
this set really did just feel like a culmination of some of the most entertaining smite i've seen in a while. this event was just so seriously fun to watch, man. so much to remember, too. this barn-burner finish, some huge plays for sam, the entirety of glads vs hounds game 1. what a way to herald in a new year for the game.
Would be awesome to see a video on that one game a while back, I think it was dragons vs bolts, where the game didn’t matter for standings so both teams troll picked and roll swapped their brains out. Mike was on ah puch support, and then Barra got flamed for playing regular old izanami. Was a blast to watch live
I'm just so happy to see Bobby and Snoopy back in the SPL, the two of them just seem like such nice dudes whenever I see them stream. Excited for SPL this year!
watching all this back with fresh eyes makes me realize how criminal it is that Wargs couldn't close the set out. it would've been nice to see Aqua cook in S10
I really thought that the glads were going to lose 0-3 after the loss in game two. Losing after having such a great early game made it look like the wargs had it in the bag. And then glads regrouped and came back stronger than ever. They played a total of 7 games in a row that day and they absolutely deserve their spot in the SPL. It was one of the best sets I've seen from a 'non pro' team in a very long time.
As much as I agree with DMB getting banned for his behaviour, I'm still a bit saddened that his talent went to waste like that. Was a delight to see him play, but you still can't behave like that.
Is that jmac that’s the other caster with myflin? Holy shit I cannot understand half of the words that come out of his mouth during this set. Is that normal for him?
Random question, if my main smite account is banned, and say I qualified hypothetically for SEC or SPL on an alternate account. Would I get removed like DMBro? Like, how does one get back into the league once qualified, if they’ve once been perma banned on a main acc?
I think I'll echo what a few people have said: Easily one of the most entertaining, engaging sets of Smite in the last few years. Both teams played horribly. As much as I love plenty of the players here, there's no doubt much improvement needed before the season kicks off for the Gladiators. If they play like they did in this tournament, they have no chance.
@@Plopodop "At the start of each new season of SPL, our league operations team does a full conduct review for all incoming players. This review is intended to ensure that players are in good standing on both their main SMITE account and any alternate accounts that are known to belong to them. During this conduct review for incoming players who qualified to SPL via the Promotion Tournament, our league operations team discovered an alternate account that they confirmed belonged to Dudemanbro429, the carry for the Gilded Gladiators. The history on this account showed multiple suspensions and a permanent ban, citing repeated toxicity & harassment as the primary offense. Bannable behavior on primary or alternate accounts constitutes player misconduct, as per our league rules listed below."
