Matthew 5:17 was the heaviest punch in the face I've felt in a long time... Jesus says, "do not think I have come to abolish the law...." THAT right there tells us the law is still in place..... "...I've come to fulfill it." Thank you Jesus!!!

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law of loving God and loving our neighbor as ourself, from a pure heart. Look to Jesus, who is our righteousness and the only one who can save us from our sins. He said for us to love one another, and that is the new covenant commandment for us to live to obey. Trust and believe in His finished work on the cross, for salvation alone. ✝️
Christians keep the Ten Commandments, except the Sabbath is not required (Rom. 14:5, Col. 2:9-23). The rest of the old law is useless (Heb. 7:18-19) and obsolete (Heb. 8:13, Heb. 9). Jesus declared all foods clean. (Mark 7:19) Etc.
If this isn't God speaking to me then I don't know what is. I'm a new Christian, finding my faith and making my commitment to Jesus last year and finished Matthew chapters 4-7 for the first time only 2 days ago. Then I see this! Amazing!

Read what Jesus said he means, not what others say Jesus really meant in opposition. Chapter 7 Matthew? Is what Jesus said and meant. They cryed out, "Lord Lord! We had a relationship with you and lived in service to your name" Jesus we reply, "hell with you. You are but workers of lawlessness." Like them, like Satan and his angels, they know and believe in God, but they are of lawlessness. At least Satan and his angels shutter at their judgement to come, yet these so called follows of the Lord Jesus have peace living in un repented wilful sin, as God is cool with that. As a new christian, you know you just repented of sin to God so Jesus can be your Lord. That won't ever change through this life and eternity. We must turn from sin. Being righteous isn't a relationship, it's being and doing what is right that makes us righteous. God Spirit help, we can. Without being right with God, Jesus what's nothing to do with us as Lord. Jesus said so . That's what matter

@@P.H.888 Jeremiah 31 tells us the New covenant is the Torah written on our hearts. Jesus taught that anyone who preaches against the least Torah commandment will be least in the Kingdom. It is God's Law in Torah the defines sin. Now it's true that if you think Torah obedience can save you, you are wrong. You would need to keep Torah 100%. But Torah doesn't save us. Jesus saves us. We keep Torah in our hearts as an expression of our Love for God. Acts and Galatians support this.
@@jadefarah2858 What of it? It is true. Galatians 5:18 cannot be contradictory to the rest of Scripture. Otherwise either Galatians is wrong or the rest of Scripture is wrong. I don't believe either are wrong, because Galatians 5:18 is not saying that the Law is no longer God's standard of righteousness. Galatians 5:18 and the whole chapter is saying that obedience to the Law cannot bring salvation. Because if it could the Christ would be null and void. When he have the spirit with us we do not seek the wicked flashy things and thus are not under the condemnation of the Law.

Excellent animated outline and summary of principles of Kingdom of God. While many in church look to escape this world and enter eternal life in Heaven, Jesus our Lord taught us to pray "Your kingdom come". Till we complete our purpose in this life we need to live by Kingdom Principles as Kingdom Citizens here and now.
God’s kingdom has arrived on earth since Christ announced it. I think you guys still need some more revelation. It’s literally a kingdom, it’s happening but unseen, will unveil itself once it’s king comes back. Till then king’s ekklesia(senate) must carry on kingdom work. Good luck.
The 'do not judge' seems more to be saying not to condemn people. Rather than forbidding discernment or assessment of others. As we must 'judge' what is a pearl and what is a swine to follow the next parable. You can be charitable to a person, even one who is guilty while still recognizing that they may have acted harmfully. And one might take steps to mitigate the damage such a person would do in the future, while still having a loving disposition towards that person and hoping for their repentance. Later verses about discipline in the church then should not be seen as conflicting with Jesus intent since the same holy spirit directed those verses. Likewise, "don't judge" is not a rule against the role of the judiciary in a society. To apply the verse in that context, we'd wish to ensure a range of ethical approaches are followed, ie: presumption of innocence, due process, right to a defence, punishment fitting the crime, unbiased jury of peers and so on. Where judging is wrong especially is when people skip those steps and make a snap judgement against someone else on the basis of hearsay or because that person is part of an out-group. "To Kill a Mockingbird" is an illustration of 'do not judge' being violated. The process of judgement was corrupt in that case which led to punishing an innocent man. I trust this will be helpful to those who have sensed that Jesus 'do not judge' often is misapplied to justify sin.
Thank you “Bible project” for being so creative in explaining the Word of God, I’ve been a christian my whole life but getting it explained to me this way makes me want to learn more about the Bible and its teachings to put it into use in my everyday life. Could you clarify something please? First and foremost the presentation was well done and I enjoyed it. Could you say why you translate the word οὐρανός (ouranos) as sky and not heaven? I understand the word can also mean sky, like in Matt 16:12, but in this context it usually is translated as heaven.

Interestingly, in chemistry, you can lower the freezing point and increase the boiling point of a liquid by adding salt into it. Salt is truly a preservative as-while the earth is now corrupt, it initially was good. Salt keeps it from boiling in the lake of fire, or freezing from the lack of divine love. God’s people keep the earth from crossing to the extremes where it shouldn’t be, preserving it just a bit longer in that “good” state. That’s why I thought it was an apt analogy. Lol
i'm so pumped about this!! several years ago, i started memorizing the sermon on the mount. i got a few sections done but didnt stick with it consistently. in 2024, my goal is to finish memorizing it. this chart summarizing the flow of the sermon will do WONDERS in getting this to stick in my mind and heart. In Matthew 12:15-18 it was quoted Isaiah 42, written that Jehovah the Most High our Father The Creator, support and sent his heavenly son and servant Jesus and gave his son Jesus as covenant for the people and Jesus confirm it in John 17:3. Matthew 12: 16 but Jesus sternly ordered them not to make him known, 17 in order to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, who said: Isaiah 42:1 Look! My servant [Jesus the son], whom I [Jehovah The Father] support! My chosen one, whom I have approved! I only have one complaint about your presentation here, Jesus is not referring to some mystical "sky treasure" He is referring to treasures in Heaven! Meaning instead of piling up earthly treasures (wealth, accomplishment and admiration) in this life which is temporal and passing away (1 John 2:17), store up your treasures (our service to Christ in this life) in heaven which will stand forever. If you guys are attempting to explain the Bible perhaps you would do well to bring on board a seasoned Bible teacher, scholar or preacher who can help you better understand and interpret the depth of the meaning of the Bible. It is not just a piece of literature, the Bible is a unique guide map for our lives with the power to transform our hearts and minds. (Psalm 119:11)

Please help me understand why you keep saying it's the kingdom of "the skies" and not "of Heaven"... And why do you keep referring to the Israelites as some political tribe...it's not the same thing as being a jew so why all the political correctness? I'm genuinely confused.
When you broke it down to its three parts I could clearly see the three angels message of revelation 14 which is the eternal gospel: 1) Light Shines from the Creator 2) Darkness is exposed Or Babylon is fallen and 3) We get to choose who we will worship! God is Good!

Few corrections needing to be addressed: Righteousness isn't a relationship with God. Righteousness is being and doing right. . Righteousness is how we can have a relationship with God, though only by doing what is completely right and not doing wrong, will by definition, can make you righteous. Jesus fulfilling the Law isn't completing it. It is filling it fuller. Fulfill by definition means, "to fill full".Not finishing the Law but adding to it more. Such, to lust is adultery, hate someone to death is murder, ECT. Jesus took each commands and showed how to keep it, and keep it fuller. And remember, chapter 7, it's not those who had a relationship with Jesus, who in his story surely had. What that sent the judgement of hell on them? It was they was workers of Lawlessness, with there devoted life to Jesus, that sent them to hell .
Its absolutely WILD that allll of this, takes place within the first 10 pages of my bible…. And my bible is pretty small lol it’s probably the first 6 pages for something bigger.

"Righteousness" ? "Living in right relationship with god and others? So what you believe is that belief in god is righteous and any other belief is, what" Pointless? That's not righteousness and instead it is "self-righteousness". God didn't have to be included in what amounts to a supposition. And god's righteousness and even god's claim of your body and consciousness [mind] is a spurious assertion. Human beings have the "capacity" to solve their own issues IF... they live long enough to "mature" and work together with compromise and civility and sometimes self-sacrifice. Outside on the green pastures is a 8 X 4 sign that says in Clear Anglo-English.... "God Not Needed. We're big boys [and girls of course] now and we can handle things from here." 😵💫

The design elements of this make me think that some well organized institution structured what we see in Matthew. It makes sense that this organized institution would be the Church. This looks a lot like an early catechism. If Matthew is a catechism of the early Church, then Mark, Luke, & John may also be early catechisms of the Church (slightly different catechism for slightly different expressions of Christianity). Is this thought heretical? Or is it worth examining?

Hello Bible Project. I really liked the old version of the animations, it was easer to understand and remember. Most importantly it was very unique and fun too watch.
Not just money but government too. if laws and forgiveness isn't included in the governance over the people. They need to be influenced. A healthy balance because exstemism of government and religion can cause problems. so I like that our founders found a way to balance power. People take words and twist.
I wonder why you are not using the latest insights into the meanings of abolish the Law/Torah and fulfill the Law/Torah derived from the Jewish Mishnah where these Jewish idioms mean respectively "misinterpret Torah so that one breaks it" and "correctly interpret Torah, so that can can keep it"?
Doubtful you will read this and more doubtful it would make a difference, but a common mistake and misunderstanding is to understand fulfill as End or complete. The way the scriptures use this word is better understood as to bring to fullness. Clearly many things in the prophets had not been fulfilled in Jesus time or even since so by no means is Jesus conveying completion or doing away. He alone has lived the Torah’s ideal of Loving the Father and loving people. That never ends! Yeshua showed how to fully walk out what everyone else has to be commanded to do.
