Here's a theory: He is pretending being insane and knows Cinder Carla's secret and what she is trying to do as well as the overed rail cannon being its trigger(fires of ibis:pt 2). That's why he ran with Carla's rail cannon.
If it's okay to point out some minor issues: Ayre's line at 2:39 in JP should be 敵から大量な熱源反応 and in EN should be "Numerous Heat Signatures coming from the enemy". 2:52 The ball in this case is more likely referring to the Toyboxes' ability to shoot massive amount of bullets shot at your AC at once, so the translation is probably more likely "A crude gift though it maybe, I've made sure that each and every bullet they send is filled with feelings of hospitality" 3:26 Not so much an error as maybe confusing at a glance, but the "I" here is speaking in 621's terms, not Brute's. 3:37 To be more specific since it's possible he's not identifying himself as a "visitor/tourist" such as 621 is, he's more precisely saying "spoken as someone's who current on a journey myself", which sounds more like he's talking about all the deeds he's done; he's on the journey of life, so to speak. That said, it definitely could still refer to his outsider status, being taken in by Carla.
No worries, I honestly hope someone points out a better translation so I could pin it, as I know mine is poor past a point. Yeah, the 2:39 was a typo about the heat part along with 3:26 could have been changed to clarify that more. I wasn't really sure what the best way to convey some of these. 2:52 - yours is a lot better although I wasn't sure if it was the ball they come disguised as or their shotgun like guns. 3:34 to 3:37 was the one I just used Fromsoft's because I wasn't sure how to convey that better.
"Spoken as a fellow traveler" is an interesting line. It sounds like Brute himself didn't know what path to take or rather, what his calling was, much like 621 at this point in the story. In a strange sense, maybe he DID consider 621 somewhat of an actual new friend and he sympathises with him not knowing what fate to take, much like himself. What makes this interesting too, is, if this line would've been in the game, he'd be one of the first characters to question 621 motives, similiarly to Ring Freddie.
the japanese version of honest brute have psycho voice much more than the english version. for the english one i still think maybe he is just psycho because too smart or know something we dont know from his tone. but the japanse one is a complete psychopath voice tone.
That's one reason why Brute is much more loved by the JP fanbase and kind of a meme for them. His polite lines and delivery from the VA makes them portray Honest Brute like a charismatic psycho, while the EN one can sound like a typical creep
