What Just Happened At YCS Las Vegas?! | Cheating, Profanity.. And Fire Decks. 

The Semi-Finals was great. The Finals... complete opposite. Konami giving Sam a game loss to start his match for saying "God damn" during the semi's is embarrassing. Hani being straight up disrespectful made it way less enjoyable.

Once is a coincidence. Twice is a pattern.

I would also like to take a moment to tell you about the worst experience we had at this YCS. My team flew 16 hours from Australia to play at this YCS, thousands of dollars and many resources too. It’s Round 10 (the bubble), my team is x-2 and one of my team mates have won and the other has lost. So the match is decided on my game. As we get started on game 3 with 5 minutes on the clock, the opposing teams Player A (I am Player C) some how sees my hand by leaning slightly on the desk. I always keep my cards close to me and never revealed or “flashed” my hand. Their A player literally then announced outloud my entire hand, communicating to their player C. It was absolutely ridiculous and as soon as I called this out, their team said that this was allowed and that the round before, this exact thing happened to them. My team mates were friends with one of their players and agreed for some reason. I should have instantly called a judge. Biggest regret to be honest. To have my hand just announced felt like straight up cheating. Player A cannot communicate or send messages to Player C.

Hani’s attitude was more unsportsmanlike than Sam’s “god damn” 😤

Cheaters are at a all time high, penalties & DQ need to become more common so players are incline to play by the book

I think the anima could have plausibly been an accident but as a judge i think it is still worth a warning, its like an unintentional handball in football that affects play. Its still a foul especially if intentionality can't be determined. Like if it was a mistake it was a very big one you can't be doing that.

they made us play ishizu tear for over three months. an emergency list would be lovely, but no way are we getting one.

Gotta love when the pros per usual let their egos get in the way. That said im actually fine with fire meta. While Fire King is as annoying as stepping on a lego brick, Snake-eye is a very interesting flex tool. For example. Snake-eye works very well with a few other level one engines and I actually run a snake pack with Appliancers in it. Alot of little synergies and since reading is a rarity in a highly intense duel, the appliancers can be a nasty surprise

The dude seemed to purposely put it in the wrong one to bait out that link monster that is actualy considered cheating in tournaments since you cannot switch zones without a effect they have to be put back in the zone it was summoned in. This is why you state what zone and think about your stragities he should technically take a game loss at least 1 point for that and a skip a round with no points awarded at all for the correct punishment at least thats what i noticed

Fire representation too high, banlist needed in my opinion. I watched the stream as well and i didnt find it enjoyable at all, just throwing your 15-18 handtraps as soon as possible because your deck is hyper consistent with most of your engine being 1 card combo...

I dont know about yall but checking the stream every now and then to just see mirror matches of Snake-eye was mad boring. Formats need to be diverse to be interesting for viewers.

YGO is a really complex and mind consuming game (which makes most of us love it) I think anyone should be allowed to make little mistakes due many reasons... however one thing is to make a quick mistake due brain fart and another to plan to "make a mistake" and then have a plan ready to conveniently play anima which is live due "the mistake".

it would have been an honest mistake to put your opponents monster in the wrong zone if the VV player didn't try to do it AGAIN later in the match. I don't think the fire decks are that oppressive at the moment tbh.

I learned that there are a couple good cards to put in your side deck, depending on the deck you use when battling Fire King Snake-Eyes. 2-or-3 Tiger King Wagnuh Monster Cards & 2-or-3 Power Filter Spell Cards.

Lets not act Like Hani was playing Fire King snake eye lol, he literally forgot his Kirins and sided out the few fire king cards out every game, he was basically playing pure snake eyes lol

Nice video. I do like this format. Been doing well at my locals with Generaider/Runick as a Rogue deck option. Boss Stage + Skill Drain almost wins me the game every time. Been mostly seeing Fire decks and Branded this month.

Tier 0 format lol 😂 ppl say no because ppl play 7 fire king cards but the winner didn’t even get to play the best fire king because he wrote it wrong lol

I don't think people are dumb enough to cheat like that on a feature match.. Maybe I'm wrong, but they have to be extremely stupid to do so.

Loving the YCS, even though there's a lot of Fire vs Fire I feel like there have been so many cool interactions. The pie chart makes it look bad for deck ratios but the overall gameplay has been sick imo.

I think the anima thing couldve been def been a mistake i just think especially after talking to people they seem like they have it weighted on eirher eides. And on too of that i have voiceless but i think overall you can really only play mainly fire

this YCS was a complete embarrassment
