Yes, Only Dimash himself can competing against himself. Three years in a row 2017, 2018 and 2019 Dimash was invited by Chinese TV to perform Chinese New Year Folk song - Jasmine Flower. Guess what, all three years in a row he performed totally different and all of them totally amazing. People still can not define which version 2017, 2018 or 2019 is the best one. I wander if Chinese TV will invite him again for Chines New Year to perform this song. By the way, Celine Dion also once upon a time was invited to perform this song but nobody remember that performance.

What IS it ? Besides the monumentall talent, that thing he has in every performance you can't quite put your finger on. ELEGANCE. He moves and acts with a patrician bearing. A nobility you can't teach, you are born with it.

The other competitors knew his skill and referred to him as God level before he sang. They were stunned after watching his performance. The competition is for singing, dancing, and physical activities. The others basically said they'll compete with him in everything, but singing.....lol

Dimash was made to wait until after midnight for this performance...very long day. A commenter, in response to my comment that I was very concerned and holding my breath thru this whole number as I could tell right from the VERY first note, Dimash was not in his usual best voice....as a singer, I can hear instantly when someone's voice is off - mine or that of another singer. Having heard his performance of this song a few weeks or so ago....it was clear his voice was not at all in the same condition here....and it really concerned me from the beginning because I know this is a big vocal song requiring great vocal strength.....But the commenter said that 1...he was made to wait a long long time until well after midnight to perform,,,,and he will soon undergo a 3rd sinus surgery as it is once again interfering with this singing........still wonderful.....I love him so much....but I could tell the sound of his voice, the clarity, the ease, the flow, the placement was not there as in the premiere a few weeks ago....he was definitely conserving, shortening phrases substantially.....cutting them short....clearly chopping up the vocal line which he did not do in the first performance....pushing and forcing somewhat....which is always risky....and he struggled with the last note.......I hope he will be OK.

This is the performance that truly left me speechless. All the others I can at least explain, even if I can’t sing them, I can at least explain what he is doing -as impossible as it seems for the rest of us normal singers - our training lets us know what is actually happening. This was just something that defies any explanation - there are overlaps of techniques FOR THE SAME NOTE??? How is this even happening????
