This is truly one of the best love songs of all time. It showed up A LOT at weddings in the 1990s and 2000s, still a classic.

Beautiful harmonies on this song. This is Gary Cherone on vocals and Nuno Bettencourt on acoustic guitar and harmony vocals. This song is a departure from Extreme's usual funk metal sound. This song went to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1991. It was played a lot on the radio back then.

This is a stunning song from 1991 that suffered from being overplayed. Seriously, it got played to death on the radio stations and everyone was sick of it, lol! It's nice to hear it years later with fresh ears and be reminded just how stunning this song is.

So very true. I bought the album just for this song and, because I'm not a hair metal fan, couldn't listen to the rest of the album. But this song was soooo gooood.

@@triman95even if you don’t like hair metal (I don’t) I would still listen to the whole album, because it’s like “Funk Metal”, quite different from other 80’s/90’s hair metal bands. In fact “Get the Funk Out” has one of the most killer solo’s of all time, enough that Brian May of Queen said it was his favourite solo he’d ever heard.

If you get a chance to please check out Weird Al's original song You Don't Love Me Anymore. The video is a funny version of this one, and the song is if you used "more than words" to tell someone you don't love them. So funny. Great reaction!! 🙂

I just saw your reaction. Gary Cherone sang with Van Halen for a year. He and Nuno Betencourt are close friends. Band is not intro drugs, etc. Gary is very catholic and conservative. He is a wonderful guy and always has time for his fans. Please check out their album from 2023 "Six". Watch and react to video "Hurricane". Got the feels. The guys are in their 60's now and still touring. They are in Europe now.

Not sure if you've heard of "The Everly Brothers", but this song gives me vibes of them with the smooth harmonies! If you haven't checked them out yet, they were something in the early 50's thru the 70's

Stunningly beautiful song, but not truly indicative of what kind of band Extreme was and is. They just put out an incredible album this year. Rise & #Rebel are must songs to check out from that album. Their guitarist Nuno Betancourt is as close to Eddie Van Halen as it gets.

This music video played in between Saturday morning cartoons. I was 10yrs old and wasn't allowed to get this album, due to the title "Pornografitti". So, I recorded the TV audio to cassette tape. Kids find a way. Lol

I love this song too! The harmony is fun to sing. It's funny that you chose this song/band as an example to illustrate how "dirty" our pop culture has gotten. Extreme was a hair band, this song came out in 1990. There was nothing wholesome about that year...or that band, tbh lol
