A quick question on the supplements. Do you take the calcium at the same time as the iron supplements? I’ve always seen the recommendation to take those two separately because they can inhibit absorption of each other. The same reason it’s not recommended to take iron with dairy or calcium enriched orange juice.
Did you delete my comment criticizing your sponsors on your other video? Could you please put it back up or tell me why it was deleted? I don't think I was being rude. I was genuinely just informing you of the issues with your sponsors, and that's something your audience deserves to see. I hope you're not deleting comments criticizing sponsors that jeopardize people's privacy and safety :/ My comment was deleted. Please let me know if it was auto-deletion or if it was intentional, and restore it if it was auto-deleted.
@@kaliew1463 You are correct, you should never take calcium and iron together because it will cause adverse affects even as a pill/supplement. Also shouldn't take antacids with iron either. People should take iron on an empty stomach with vitamin C for the best absortion.
@@kaliew1463 this is exactgly why you should not be going to some online conglomerate to buy vitamins and should be talking to an actual doctor. Not taking medical advice from some youtuber who refuses to research their sponsors.
It feels like we’re all part of a little fiber arts circle gossiping about what Agnes did to Kitty from the other group. I love it and I’m glad to see that the true purpose of fiber art circles (gossip, according to my grandmothers) lives on
My friend tried to release a frog pattern a couple of years ago. Similar to the build a bear frog but not the same, just a full body frog. Hanner was releasing her own frog at the time and her and Kayte decided to accuse my friend of copying them, sent their followers off to attack this "copier" who has under 500 followers. The frogs had different compositions and shape. The attack on this poor young woman were horrendous and to be falsely accused of stealing a generic frog pattern that already looks like a BAB plush. It was awful to see 2 big creators attacking a little one for daring to have a frog pattern at the same time as them
They did the same thing to a friend of mine over the sleepy collection and then tried to cancel her over "copies felt eyes" that were "too similar " to Autumn's eyes. The amount of people that attacked her and made videos was so crazy n really showed me what people were all about
Idk but she sounds mentally ill to me… it is not normal behavior to obsess over someone to the point where you’re using burner accounts to attack and stir drama 😬
Especially the voice memo! I genuinely was like there are so many likes in here that like they have to be like in middle school right? Also the drama itself it’s so juvenile but just the way everyone speaks is so childish

I only follow the food related drama (in real time) which is ironic because I’m autistic and hate most foods, especially the foods involved in the drama part of TT. But I am addicted to the drama of people not following regulations!!!
I prefer my drama concise in one video after it has a conclusion preferably! I couldn't keep up with the infighting on all these different platforms! Drama online today seems to start on Tictok, slides into Reddit for the real blows, and then goes for a home run on Instagram! LOL, I don't even have accounts for half of these sites! LOL
Hi, im the one who got mass reported and had my account removed from TikTok. I had just hit 10.1 k followers and have had to regrow. But ya know, seeing kayte FINALLY getting called out for who she is with proof makes it all worth it 💯
The fact that kaytedid is asking about disney IP and copyright when selling crochet, but is currently selling the grinch and groot patterns on her etsy is just weird to me.
Disney could keep an army of lawyers busy for decades if they pursued all the copyright infringements. People who do this are just hoping they're busy pursuing others.
What's always been crazy to me is people getting up in arms about this kind of thing. Like.... Disney makes SO MUCH money. They aren't going to bother taking down a small etsy store for selling cross stitch/embroidery/crochet/knit/sewing patterns. The crazier thing is when I see people say "Never buy from sellers who sell Disney stuff. It's proof that they are thieves" and I'm like.... you expect me to show sympathy... TO DISNEY... who actively steals other works in the form of taking it out of public domain and then keeping their claws sunk in them.... DISNEY.... who is the reason our copy right laws don't work the same in the states anymore.... You want me to show sympathy... TO DISNEY.... for someone "stealing" their character design in the form of making a pattern and selling it? Likely because they are a fan of that thing. Nah.
Honestly the cheating in the competition is sad but what grossed me out is the AUDACITY kaytee had to treat her partner like UTTER CRAP and go past the limit set by like 5x???? Wtf Edit: her apology isn’t an apology is pure manipulation and her fake shaky voice…I had grown women who just do this bull petty stuff like…these people are too old for this stuff
thanks for all the love on my hawaiian rollercoaster ride cover… thinking i’m good enough to go pro.. but what do i know, i’m just a guy in this world!
Hot take: you are not "taking accountability" in a post if you do not put the post on your main account through which you did the thing/gained the fame that allowed/compelled you to do the thing, AND if you do not--on that account and in that post--NAME THE THING THAT YOU DID.
Annabelle posted on her burner accounts to protect herself and the proof from getting taken off the platform Kaitie did it so that way her followers wouldn't see it and if they did they had no idea what happened so she still looked like the good guy...
I just love the youtube algorythm suggesting 30 minute videos of a drama from an app I avoid like the plague in a circle of crafts I'm not part of, with people I have never heard about. 10/10 loved every second of it.
@@ffiggyI’m guessing they were hoping putting it in the rules that the creators can’t buy votes, that would be enough? I’m not sure there’s a way to limit large-scale cheating beyond that warning. Unless they put restrictions and needed info like people have to give to make donations to US political campaigns. But Large donors get around that, too. It’s just such small potatoes for a creator to go that gonzo for! 🤦🏾♀️
The "new guidelines" aren't even that effective in preventing this. That "I promise NOT to pay friends to vote for me, cross my heart" check box has no way of verifying. I mean, I guess if the person is caught, they can do something legally since it's basically a contract, but again, it's only if the person is caught. I also want to know what they did after they found out Katye bought her votes. Did she keep the trophy? If there were freebies, was she asked to pay for the things she got free? I hope she got banned from participating in all future events, because if she wasn't, then they didn't actually punish her for breaking the rules.
@@ZimVader-0017 That's the problem though, she didn't technically break the rules because there were no such rules in place. That's why that checkbox is there now, it's not meant to stop people from doing it, it's to allow the organization to do something about the people who do it once they find out
@@ZimVader-0017 That's not what it's there for its not to stop them its so that way if this happens again they can say "we kicked them out because they violated our rules" or they can say "we clearly state here this is against our rules" Which was the issue is she technically followed the rules Also its a charity would be a shitty charity if they didn't make money somehow
I love how with your videos there’s so many moments where my jaw drops in disbelief and I want to say “No they did not!” like a friend hearing wild gossip
@@emmainthemoment For me, the jaw-dropping part in this video was the vote-buying and, in particular, the openness and total lack of guilt about the vote buying.
The fact that the cheer awards keeps inviting Kayte for positivity recognition is so funny given the sheer amount of people saying and showing receits of her being a mean girl.
The older I get, the more I realize how right the ladies of my family were. I find myself watching crazy soap operas (kdramas) on Sunday, crocheting and listening to the hottest gossip with the girlies ( ur channel)
@@poke-talia268omg where do you work?! 😂 If we were really sitting around crocheting I’d tell you to dish the story but maybe not appropriate for RU-vid comment section 😂😂
I've been the Annabelle in a situation that closely mirrors this and it was a fucking nightmare. People like Katie are utterly relentless in their pursuit for attention and admiration, and lose their minds when their facade is compromised.
@ville__ this spam campaign would be less annoying if these accounts actually had videos, but this is just lazy and dumb. What's the point? Stupidity.
It truly boggles my mind that even the "wholesome" sides of the internets have shady people making things negative. I used to watch pet chickens on streaming and that is the most wholesome thing I can think of in my past internet usage and one of the mods was always negative and trying to power trip on people. It is weird and frustrating that you cannot fully escape toxicity in mostly anonymous communities online, no matter how wholesome the subject matter is.
I would argue some of the most “wholesome” fandoms or internet circles are actually the most toxic. I wasn’t a fan but I was around on tumblr when Steven Universe’s fandom was at its most unhinged, and the wild things that fandom got into never ends. And then you look at other shows that are seemingly wholesome or other internet circles and they’re not much better.
A lot of animal care/husbandry communities can attract people who like control over something weaker than them. Also control over empathetic people/people pleasers who are the usual types to work with animals.
*peaked (unless she was a voyeur as well!) Agreed, that smug face was every teenage bully. You'd think she'd have grown a little self reflection by her age.
I can't believe that someone in the crochettok realm went out and *actually* did something similar (going on reddit under an anon account to bash someone who wronged a friend) to the story that one author from booktok straight up made up in an attempt to cover her tracks when she got caught review-bombing other authors from fake accounts AND it appears the two situations happened simultaneously??? This is wild.
I have a "friend" who reminds me a lot of her. She was always doing something bad and then convinced everyone that she was the victim. She pulled me with her from one friend group to another the first two times it happened before I started catching up and getting the other side of the story. She honestly scares me, so I still pretend not to be aware of it. She's got nearly a million Instagram followers and publicly shames her ex-artist friends. So I'm just slowly trying to blend out of the forefront of her mind by not swimming in her new circles and only talking to her when she messages me first. I just hope she slowly forgets about me.
That really sucks! It can be so stressful and draining to deal with people like that. If you suspect there's any chance she'll sabotage your public image you may want to keep receipts wherever you can in case you need them later, and to see if anyone else who's had similar experiences with her can corroborate.
@@birdenthusiast5421 yeah we probably have a few hundred or even thousand dms af this point so that’s a pretty daunting task but probably worth it in the long run

"Sit back, relax, and grab a project if you want" is one of my favorite things any RU-vidr has ever said in their intro, it functions as both a self-aware little joke but also lets the audience know it's totally okay to be working on something while they watch. Little touches like that go a long way for me. I haven't crocheted or knit in years but I'm watching this while making meatless burgers from scratch for me and my partner =3
I find it easier to focus on audio recordings if I’m doing something mindless/repetitive with my hands, so I completely relate with that kind of intro/instructions. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was the one she called out in her last tiktok. Her kids username was never posted on reddit. I was the only one besides the admin who responded to the comment. So..no. no one was going after her kid 😂
I hope Katie isn't the kind of person who would tell her followers to falsely report people and this video stays up, but if there's literal evidence in front of our eyes in a few days then it wouldn't be unreasonable to ACCURATELY report her account.
Hi, I had my account shut down so to mass reporting by kayte and her "minions" for calling her on her shit. So believe it baby. She's more than capable. But this is RU-vid and it's different than tt
I don't know any of the people from this video, but I was in a Facebook group for knitting that Kayte was heavily involved in. The majority of the people in the group seemed to fawn over her and she regularly posted/commented. I personally found that Kayte's posts were inane, which wouldn't have been an issue alone, but her 'tone' when she replied to other crafters often came across, to me at least, as incredibly sarcastic and sneering. I couldn't give a specific example of a post - I'm no longer in those groups to go back and look - but that was just the vibe I got from her. I got the impression that she thought she was important and that meant she could talk to people as she pleased. Again, just my personal opinion. I've never interacted with her, so I'm just going off the superficial experience I have of being in the same group as her.
So an important note about the whole "licensing Disney IP" thing, the VAST majority of stuff you'll find on, say, etsy, is unlicensed. Disney doesn't always file claims against everyone, but I know a lot of people who have lost their etsy stores due to copyright claims. That's also why a lot of stuff will be listed with alias names, ie Mermaid Princess instead of Ariel The Little Mermaid, and Archery Princess instead of Brave/Merida. All that to say, I'd hedge a guess that her Stitch *isn't* licensed, which is the real reason she deleted the comment. Purchasing a Disney IP license is way more expensive than most individuals can afford, and they're INCREDIBLY specific about what and how you can use it. But given that Disney has their own amigurumi kit, I highly doubt they would give out licenses to individual artists to sell a similar pattern - that's money Disney would rather make on their own product kit. I don't necessarily have any evidence for this, but I am a crafter who worked for the company for a year (obligatory "I do not speak for or represent the company" here), specifically in their in-park merchandise, which somewhat deals with licensing and IP for personalized items.
@@TheSlipperyNUwUdle lol I've seen "bug monster" for Oogie Boogie, and "Mr. Mouse" for Mickey. The creative names are as amusing as they are functional! 😂 though still not a protection, unfortunately. Definitely a "sell at your own risk" kind of thing, especially online.
Katye always rubbed me the wrong way. She is all bright colors and rainbows but her face/eyes betray it. She seems like a typical high school mean girl. I don't know, I just have always got bad vibes from her. There was some drama months ago where she accused someone of stealing her patterns and the patterns in question was like a basic amigurumi that was a circle for a head and an oval body. She acts like she invented the crochet circle. Also I want you to know your musical renditions were the highlight of my day.

Doesn't surprise me at all to find out Katye did these things. She gave me major bad vibes years ago in the knitting machine groups on Facebook. She would be rude to people in the comments and then her followers would back her up. I was surprised she won the Cheer Choice award and made it a point to vote for my favorite crochet artist this year. What I did find disappointing was that hanner gurumi was involved in the purchasing of votes!

I’m a decently sized crochet account on tiktok and the Kaytedid drama was so fucking over the top. I’ve kept to myself a lot because of situations like this. There’s been dozens of people coming forward with issues with one of those creators. A friend of mine with less than 300 followers was attacked when she asked about why a pattern released was similar to another existing pattern. My friend has privated her account and rarely posts anymore because of that situation. It’s absolutely disgusting that this is what the crochet community has come to.

You know, before the internet, narcissists would only irritate their friends, coworkers and family. Now they can be a pain to millions. Ah, technically. Lol
@@8luelight First of all, calling someone a narcissist is not the same as saying they have narcissistic personality disorder. Second, Kayte certainly meets some of the criteria of NPD as described in DSM-5-TR. However, whether she has NPD as opposed to narcissistic traits can not be determined by someone on the internet.
I crochet, and make amigurumi. I've followed these people for a long time silently, and admired the empires that they have made in their own rights. However, I have held back on doing social media stuff because of how toxic I've seen Kayte and others be. I just want to make cute things, I want to see other peoples cute stuff and not care for the immature highschool shit. Big ego moments, from immature bratty girls like Kayte.
I made exactly one (1) amigurumi and the people I learned from (on RU-vid) seemed fine. Maybe I just don't know about their drama. If so, I want to keep that ignorance. The amigurumi I made (a cat) was very simple and yet I still felt it got a little to finicky and hard on my fingers for my tastes. So it's the first and the last one I will make.
I'm sorry, multiple voting is one thing, but BUYING VOTES, this people's choice award really means nothing if you are paying to win. I know people's choice based awards can be popularity contests, but buying votes degrades the whole award thing, especially under 'Visionary'.

Bestie these things happened before the internet. Great that you can’t remember it or didn’t experience that or aren’t old enough to have had that experience buuuut.
Oh these things happen all the time, every day. You can choose to participate or ignore it. The choice is yours to make. If you’re never taught how can you expect to learn? If you’ve never sat back and thought about how your words and actions affect others then you won’t hold yourself accountable for what you’ve done. Easier said than done I know. Def easy to fall into it. Just gotta keep your eyes and ears open to those around you. And what I meant about social media, is that it has become easier than ever to participate in. Back in the day it stayed within your “area”, now it’s everywhere for everyone to see and know about around the world. I feel for these ladies, livelihoods and business suffered because of what was done and said. It’s harder to recover when everyone knows what happened. 😔

As a pretty successful crochet artist I have to say there's not been a single time I've thought oh I should make that in crochet and then I Google it and it doesn't already exist.
