Our "Frankie" was a rescue mini pin. Our neighbors moved away and left him to fend for himself. He was getting "street scared" and I knew he had to be hungry and thirsty so lured him to me and with some potato chips, and from the moment I held him I knew we were meant to be together. He was truly a gift from God. Frankie passed away suddenly from hepatitis and pancreatitis on January 14, 2021. I'm 71 years old and still heartbroken over losing him. He was my best friend........Mini Pins are by far...a special kind of person. Blessings!!!
yeah you're right. for me it is also the best small breed. Intelligent and loving kind. I have mine for two years and loving every minute of it. Right now I am starting to share videos of my mini pin in my channel.
i lost mine 2 days ago his name was bubby he was i years old he got attaced and i didnt have the money to save him it was the sadest thing ever to put him down he was so unique and ik there is not another dog like him i love u bubby ill never forget u
Chad Ramsey mine is 15 yrs old. I know his time is coming soon. He is the last of many pets my wife and i had. My wife passed several years ago and he is all i have left of her. It will absolutely kill me when he goes. "Boogie".
Boogie has left me on Dec 28th. He went blind and could not walk. It got worse in a day. His front legs also froze out kike he was reaching for something. I had to hold him up to go potty. I had to make the heart breaking decision to end his pain. I cry every day and still talk to him like he's still here. I still leave the tv on when i go out cause it keeps him company and i can't come home to empty lonely house! I still have his baby he had aince he was a baby that i keep near me and in his bed next to me on the bed with his blanket a d sweater. When i come home i still say daddy's home. And when i leave i kiss his baby and tell him I'll be right back. I still give him fresh water. The other day i was walking to the kitchen ,i was looking at the carpet and saw a dark fat oval shadow that quickly shot off and disappeared! I know it was Boogie! So i keep talking to him cause i know he is here! I miss you Boogie! Love daddy!💔🐕😪
We recently lost our, Star, last November, she was a black with chocolate spots Mini Pin. We had her for 14yrs and she died of cancer. We want to get another mini pin.
Mine is not that hard, I just showed him on his early stage that he's not the boss :) I just see to it that I spend time daily with him, short but meaningful time.
I have 2 min pin sisters that go with me in the semi truck all the time, very protective and always on the lookout, and when they are home , they are totally differant , love everybody then
Little Reborn Family I'm sorry for your loss. I have one but I also had a chihuahua and she just died 2 weeks ago. It was too sad for me to see him so sad so I got another chihuahua older a rescue dog and he is getting better. I am too , slowly.
I'm a 63 year old retired military officer who presents a tough as nails exterior but I tear up every time I see your videos and that's why I have a regular monthly donation. You guys are awesome. 1:14
Pretty min pin ! I had two, now I have one . I could never stop Constant Barking. But mine were very loyal and loving . I've had both the Dobies and Min Pins !
A trained dog is a happy dog... That sounds so brain washing. But I do agree that a trained dog is a safe dog. My minipin hurt himself more than once. Proper training will be helpful.
Min pins were originally developed in Germany to be very intelligent and independent verminators; thus, they don't do well with people who aren't bright and perceptive of the little brats' ways. I found mine to be exceptionally intelligent, athletic, and easy to train, being that I trained both with a Schutzhund group that included Dobermans', German shepherds, and Rottweilers. The little biters were featured in TV news stories and newspaper (in the days of newspapers). And they were so very loving towards my wife and me, aloof with strangers.
is it normal for min pin to listen to only one person. i have a min pin he is soley my dog and he knows that cause he wont listen to anyone else its like he has no training with anyone else and this is stressing me out
they often pick one person as the leader and will only listen to them my dog does that too. he knows i am the boss and he has listen to me most of the time any way!!! there often one person dogs.
Have you tried having another person do training with him? Even if he must learn sit and stay again. My parents dalmatian was my Dad's but Mom needed to be able to control her so she "retrained" her. The dog is still Dad's but will listen to Mom.
+Jennifer Sentman Jennifer this is very normal. Min Pins will bond primarily to one person in a household. They will love the others but only really do what they are told for the chosen one.
yeah you're right, "a trained dog is a happy dog", sometimes funny dog heheheheh, mine is not well trained, but, we live in harmony. He just know some basic commands. I created a channel and the purpose is to share his life with us, maybe you like to check it out. BTW thanks for this very informative channel.
I just got a min pin puppy, he is also a pain, a cute pain, but also just wants to cuddle and be close. I'm sure were gonna have a bond like no other, and regarding docking of tails, my puppies was docked when I got him. So you never really know the story.
But it was basically your choice if you want to support a breeder that mutilates the puppies, or if you want to stay away from that and chose a breeder that actually cares for the well-being of the puppies. You chose first.
maybe that's because you did not socialize your mini pin. Mini Pins are so protective breeds i guess. Mine is ok, He just have a thing with delivery guys :) specially the one that deliver our drinking water :D. I am starting my channel to share my life experience with my cute little dog :D
I have 3 I believe in general they are extremely possessive of both their toys and the person they are bonded with..especially the one who feeds walks and shows them tons of affection. Mine are OK in the house but on the leash they are extremely protective around strangers other dogs and large moving objects like motor cycles and the UPS truck
He is genetically predisposed to rid the world of stinky rats and other stinky vermin, such as weasels. My min pin, and my previous one, were incredible at quickly killing any rat. My min pins, with their better than cat quickness, agility, and biting power would bite them through the skull with a fang--instant death. So, you are the rotten turd for trying to deny the nature of your min pin! LET YOUR MIN PIN HAVE THE RATS! 🤪
Mine cannot be trusted off the leash,we've tried and tried but she is just so headstrong, she knows how to steal items of clothing to exchange for treats though...
Biting the toys is very normal behavior for a Min Pin. The word 'Pinscher' in their name describes their hunting style. They grabbed their prey and rapidly bit it. This makes them a bit of a 'mouthy' breed. Mine likes to gnaw on my hand/wrist while grooming my arm. She's very gentle about it, but I still find it kind of strange. If you are having problems with getting nipped while trying to play, that's a different thing. When he nips you, immediately stop playing, give a sharp "No!", and leave. He will soon learn that if he wants to keep playing, he needs to keep his teeth to himself. As for sleeping, try having him sleep next to you if possible. Ours refused to sleep at night at all until I had her sleep next to me. Once she started sleeping through the night, I started transferring her to her bed, which was right next to mine. I will warn you, they are notorious blanket hogs, so put him on top of your bedding, then give him his own blanket. This will have the added benefit of making the transition between your bed and his easier, as he will begin associating that blanket with bedtime. You can simply have him lay down on his bed and cover him with his blanket. Hope this helps more than the *other* comment up there... :)
The statement about Louis Dobermann's desire to create a large version of the min-pin is false and their is ZERO documentation to support this. Do the research, then make the video.
The Roller : As a German, i would say, that the once popular Deutscher Pinscher ( middle size) and the Rottweiler (formerly also known as Metzgerhund/ butchers dog) are the most clear dog breeds inside the Dobermann ( up to 1949 Dobermann Pinscher), but surely also some hunting dogs like the Weimaraner.
Heres what you can do. As i was told to do. Fold the ears in half length ways. From the base up, pull up keeping the ears folded in a massaging manner. It works. Mine has beautiful strong ears.
Wrong wrong wrong! I can't express this enough!!!!! No connection to a doberman pincher, Italian grey hound and german pincher= min pin He wasn't only the town tax collector but also the town dog catcher. Thus creating a bread called the Doberman pincher to assist him in his duties as a tax collecter. He was tired of getting robbed! Please get your storry straight.
No these breed is meant to stay fit, you should try changing up the food to a much healthier kind and don't ever leave a full plate of food for them through out the day schedule it for them morning and lunch
@@expresssful Heavy weight :D mine is around 4kg. I control the food intake I don't want him to be obese because I am skinny hahahaha. Check how he looks in my videos
