There were even fan rumors about Su "training on a treadmill while singing", but that's not something anyone involved with BABYMETAL has ever actually mentioned in any interview. Baby metal is to music like dipping your fries in a Frosty at Wendy’s is to food combinations. By all accounts it shouldn’t work but for some inexplicable and magical reason it’s one of the greatest things out there.

Once again they kill it with tossing some Ska into the mix for a song! "Yava!" is so good and while I typically don't have a set "top 10" list of BABYMETAL songs, this is definitely in my top 5-10 if I ever did come up with one. I can't totally recall the meaning behind the song, but I think it has to do with perceptions and peer pressure from others about how you look, act, and dress and trying to overcome that desire to fit in like all the others and it not being bad to stand out as yourself. There are others I'm sure who can clarify/correct that for me who are more well-versed. Glad to see you back to BABYMETAL, but you picked a hell of a time. They went on hiatus back in October and haven't given a single hint as to whether they will be coming back or not. Here's hoping they do though for at least one more album/tour!

Good one - BABYMETAL adding ska to their repertoire ...

They perform 1 to 1.5 hours, but when they get into the 1.5 hours shows, they fit in some smart moments to take a break from performing. With a story-video between songs or have the Kami members band do solos thus keeping the audience entertained while they have a little 2 to 5 minute break. Even choreography is smart, with little pauses, etc. Having said all that, it's clearly really hard work with lots of training.

Hard to believe BabyMetal have been around for ten years. Still a shame that Yui left but they never replaced her as she is irreplaceable. One of the known reasons Yui left was health issues and my speculation has been that the intensity of performing live at such a young age, took it's toll. As you mentioned frequently, how much energy and stamina do the girls require? I always enjoy your leave the room moment and try to anticipate what you will say when you return. Koba Metal, BabyMetal's manager did an amazing job of selling the idea of the whole BabyMetal concept. It still stuns me the way grown men dance, mosh, and go crazy and have the best time at BabyMetal shows. Who would of believed Koba, that this idea could possibly work? Love the way Moa stole your heart with her smile towards the end of the video. It is a shame this is a compilation but it is the only way for many people to watch or react to this song without getting a RU-vid block. At least in the US, you can get BabyMetal songs passed RU-vid to make reactions. In my country, even having a BabyMetal video on the screen muted, will cause a block.
