Honestly, all the Satanists I've ever known 1) didn't believe in a literal Satan and 2) were some of the nicest people. Morality is a hell of a thing. Pun intended.
Ive had similar thoughts about Catholicism lately. I was non denominational/once a year church goer growing up and ended up becoming Catholic in my late 20s. 6 years later ive left after diggint into the catechism and seeing debates online. Im more and more convinced that its either the ine true church or incredibly sinister.
Do not giving up meeting with fellow believers. I am convinced there are Catholic Christians but I am also convinced and convicted of Protestant believers. I don’t think there is one unique physical church but rather the bride of Christ, THE CHURCH, includes ALL those who call on Jesus, the one and only Son of God, to be saved. I attended orthodox services regularly when I lived in Alaska and attend mass twice weekly where I live today. But I think that good protestant theology probably comes the closest to what God calls us to live and how to worship. I’m Presbyterian by my Sunday morning attendance and Reformed Baptist according to my best understanding (we just don’t have one of those in the area).
@@ShaNaNa242 i read them and found that many contradicted or didnt believe what the magisterium claims. Its way more complicated than pop apologists claim.
@@jordand5732 the general consensus of the Fathers is what is most important. Also there must be a magisterium to settle these claims to keep the church united.
"For, notwithstanding the great love which the converts to these different faiths expressed at the time of their conversion, and the great zeal manifested by the respective clergy, who were active in getting up and promoting this extraordinary scene of religious feeling, in order to have everybody converted, as they were pleased to call it, let them join what sect they pleased; yet when the converts began to file off, some to one party and some to another, it was seen that the seemingly good feelings of both the priests and the converts were more pretended than real; for a scene of great confusion and bad feeling ensued-priest contending against priest, and convert against convert; so that all their good feelings one for another, if they ever had any, were entirely lost in a strife of words and a contest about opinions."
After being a Bible believing Christian for 53 years, not necessarily always “walking in the Spirit “ the 2 things I’ve seen that clearly leads people into a cult type religion is: 1: The denial or distortion of the deity of Christ 2. The denial of the God ordained creation of man and woman and why: the woman was created for the man: 1Cor 11:8,9
Are you saying that all Mormons will not be saved? Are you saying all reformed, Calvinist Baptists will be saved, and that God saves by doctrinal statements? Back in the day when Jesus thought that Pentecostal practices were the correct way to express Christianity, because He gave that kind of practice as the normal Christianity when He said, "Did we not cast out demons and performed signs in your Name". Then He said, "depart from Me, for I never knew you." He gave quite a different criterion for salvation as I'm sure you are aware of. I believe living a cold religious life void of compassion with all the right doctrinal teachings in our head is a very scary way to come face to face with Jesus. Don't you? Remember you are the one in the pulpit.
Mormonism teaches Jesus is Lucifer's brother. Let that sink in. It denies Jesus deity. Calls him a liar and mormons believe they will be gods themselves later. No, they are not saved.
Very sad that you reject what is taught everywhere in the Bible. God is sovereign over everything. Stop listening to human will worshiping false teaching.
