They're semi-legal in where they are established. "Utah: Balisongs or Butterfly knives are legal as long as they aren’t covered or concealed." Thing is, laws are wonderfully vague. What exactly do they mean by "covered or concealed"? Not allowed to be stuffed in your pocket or pants? I reckon it may mean that and what's the point of a butterfly knife if you can only have one when it's dangling out of your pockets or pants.

I’ve carried my Spyderco Manix 2 everyday since Christmas ‘16 and since then I’ve added the boker kalashnikov in the stonewash variant. I’m looking to add a Bark River fixed blade to the mix sometime soon but am having a hard time deciding on which one since their all so nice.

Bear Martin it’s not just for self defense. They’re knife guys, so they carry several for different purposes but also just because they like knives.

I carry one hunting, and also everywhere else, but yeah, I agree, knives aren't incredibly useful. Unless you are outdoors, knives aren't that helpful

i have a little swiss army knive with me everyday.. But a full blown fixed blade hell no....and what even worse are those oversized folders.

If viewing knives as tools there are many reasons to carry. Many knives (especially traditional knives) were designed for specific tasks. I carry a mutitool when working and a folding pocket knife when not working. While many days may pass that i never use the pocket knife the times I do need it I am glad to have it. I also grew up with everyone carrying pocket knives or wearing knives on their belts but they were used for working, camping, fishing, etc.

especially if i am in a office and they have 9inch fxed blades and oversized folders(oversiized folders have 1 use and thats to hurt someone.

I'm surprised we didn't see very many multitools/pry bars. My p2 never leaves my hip, along with my crkt vox part bar. I am carrying a cadet, via zacks recommendation and loving it. Need to feature Taylor from best damn edc to get y'all to step the edc game up!
