In this video we discuss what Lex eats the day of a race, in the end it doesn't really matter exactly what you eat. The most important factor is you feel confident in what you ate and not stressing about what you did or did not eat. it is all personal preference, and th strongest guide is to eat what makes you feel powerful and however much you feel most powerful with. This is different for everyone as it is for Lex and Leo, for that reason we will also be making a video like this about Leo, in the coming months.

Hey Lex and Leo, I am doing an athlete profile on my two favorite high school athletes which is you guys, and I would really appreciate it if you could answer these 3 questions. What is your guys favorite race you've ever ran? What is your guy's Height and Weight? Who is your guy's favorite pro runner? @@dylanballard9813 sounds good. At least it is not writing research papers in high school and college. On my final semester of college taking my capstone course, and it is a lot of work. I will keep that in mind. Went to Big Bear today first time since Spring '15 and it was traffic getting there. There were a lot of cars leaving Big Bear today.

@@dylanballard9813 I agree. At least my capstone course mini cases and final project are group. I took my concentration elective course last semester and I had to write two individual papers, two group papers, a 40 min film group presentation, which was the longest presentation that I had ever done in college and was close by a point acing it, and an individual final reflection paper. Manage to get a B+ in my concentration elective course which was on team leadership skills course and manage to pass a challenging Business Analytics II course with a B. The exams, mini cases excel and final excel project was challenging in that course when I took it last semester.

my go-to is toast spread with peanut butter and sliced bananas like 2 hours before running.. i have a sensitive stomach so i found something that worked and have stuck with it ever since.. instead of caffeine, which jacks up my hr during marathon efforts, i prefer 2 grams Kratom 1hr before. i would highly recommend giving it a try!

If you want to raise your performance level up a significant notch eat only purple grapes, grape juice, and water for three days, with the third day being race day. Do it and you'll know that it works. That routine had allowed me to triple my training distance and increase my speed without becoming fatigued.

What volume of water do you typically dissolve the caffeine into when you’re sipping it before the warm-up?

How much water do you guys take with the caffeine? And just to make sure, you said to start taking it around 45 minutes before your race and gradually sip it until 15 minutes before?

I usually resolve two Nuun tablets for 100mg total. And j start around 60-45 min before the race and just drink as I stretch. So usually over a 10-15 min period. And I usually only dissolve it into roughly 15ounces of water

What's your diet like 2 days before a race? Ive been told to carb load Thursday and friday with pasta for years but ive learned that pasta is complex carb and is not the same energy system that we use in a 5k.

Sugar isn’t really bad when you are using it as a runner. Jakob ingebrigtsen has had twix bars, fanta, and lots of nutella before his races. The few days leading up to his olympic final his diet mostly consisted of nutella. These fad diets that say sugar is bad are creating eating disorders, and hurting runners.

@@Mytocalife10 I know that some processed sugars ( the yum yum 😋 kind ) gives tummy issues to some folks, and others can handle it better 🙂👍. I was just curious how Lex or Leo handle it before a race ….. 🙂👍. Actually, I’ve done an Ironman before and took in gels throughout the marathon course, no tummy issues. Guess it all depends on the person 👍
