Maltese prosecutors have charged Yorgen Fenech, who is one of Malta's wealthiest people, as an accomplice to the murder of investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. Fenech pleaded 'not guilty' to his alleged involvement in Galizia's death. Police arrested him ten days ago while he was trying to leave Malta on his luxury yacht. Daphne Caruana Galizia was investigating government corruption when she was killed in a car bomb attack two years ago. Protesters have demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat over the affair, suspecting that he and his former Chief of Staff, Keith Schembri, are involved in the murder.

First of all get rid of the crooks in the prosecution service and the police and then the likes of Joseph Muscat and his henchmen will get what they deserve. The wonderful Maltese people deserve justice

Get this. The Director of Electrogas (which is the only person being accused of the mastermind in Daphne's Murder as the others are all super protected politicians...) is also a huge stakeholder over and controls our harbour. So cannabis flows in like water flows in a river... but its still illegal here in Malta. So they can sell it without even taxing it... as taxing it, ultimitley gives the money to the people (unless you have corrupt politicians like Malta has). What a Mafia State! 😂

As a Maltese I can say that the prime minister Joseph muscat did nothing but make us a better country.of course he had his mistakes sometimes but trust me there are lots of people supporting him and not wanting to see him leave.Its truly heartbreaking to see him leave after all the things he has done for us.Don’t just hear one side!!

@EightFrancs He has become their God. Lighting candles in front of his portriat at home... He did good for this country don't get me wrong. Economy has boosted. But we cannot trust him leading an investigation. There is a police commissioner to do that, and the murder is too close to the government and the prime minister's office. He should step down NOW.. be investigated.. and prove us wrong! That he was not accomplice with Yorgen and if what they are saying is true... the PM's Cheif of staff. Also, Daphne had exposed Yorgen.. and nothing was done, so in a way, he is still politicly responsible for what is happening to this country's reputation at the moment.

Kelsey if he is involved in Daphne's murder he must be punished. But I agree 100percent that he did a lot of good for Malta for the everyday person. It's a shame it had to end this way.

• 69 years ago this a a way better reasoning than calling me a “mazukista”and if he is involved then yes he should pay for it I agree but lets see the proof come out first because every one is just blaming Joseph all of a sudden!

@Rick Farrugia you are actually excusing her murder. She was blown to bits outside her home, and her son saw everything, and you're excusing this! Investigative journalists exposed this story of corruption , not 'capable authorities'. And you dare to publish that being blown to bits is excusable? There's something wrong with you
