This is getting out of hand! I've been binge warching you Dr Linkov. Last night i had the most intense dream that you were in. We interacted but not at a consultation. We were at a hotel and were in rooms near each other. I had a new puppy who kept escaping and running around. You found it amusing. We parted as fast friends. I was on a buying trip and you were there for a convention. I was surprised to say the least. I'm going through some stress and I find your voice and demeanor calming. I had transplant month ago and I’m so happy I done it! Been using minoxidil and hair already shedded and coming out. The procedure itself was like 2/10 for pain but I guess everyone has different pain tolerance

Hi. Appreciate som advice. I am having ht in 25 days but I am freaking out already. I am 39 with nw 3. I have been loosing since about I was 20 year. Was on fin from about 20 to 23 and then now and then some year after. Dont recall any side effect except small gyno. Surgery fixed it and low risk now as its taken away. Havent used anything since then. No fin or anything for about 15 years. I am not afraid of ht but afraid of scars. If things get ugly will I be able to have shaved razor head. Smp is not something I want to do as then I need to have it on top aswell to avoid odd look with dots only on back when razor Any advice? Should I go on with it?

IDK if you will see this but when switching from topical minox to oral should I over lap them both for a few months so the oral has time to take effect? Or should I stop the topical right away.

That's not quite how it works, oral min will start working immediately once you first take it - same as fin. It just takes time to see the results from it.

Let’s say I do FUE HT of approximately 3000 grafts, and after a few months/years I decide to shave my head completely bald with a blade, will the donor area have visible scars or “white pigments” That part is my biggest concern about doing a HT! So if someone would help me out with this one thing you would be a life saver! Thank you!

Yes . There will be tiny white spots. Could ne really small if the surgeon uses a smaller blader or whatever the tool is called. You can alway use micro pigmentation to cover them tho

Unless you have underlying medical issues, it’s more likely that your hair follicles just have short growth cycles and shed frequently. Are you on finasteride?

Biotin does not do anything unless you are severely biotin deficient which most people are not.

Biotin is mostly useless unless you're in a very rare category of someone with a genuine biotin deficiency. Finasteride and Minoxidil are the industry standards and the pills that actually clinically work for a majority of the population. There are clinics that do hair transplants without shaving, but the tradeoff is it's MUCH harder for the surgeons and technicians, and wouldn't you rather trade a likely better permanent result for the inconvenience of a few months with short hair? I'd work on the psychological issues around shaving your head and come to terms with hair length having nothing to do with hair growth. In fact longer hair is even more likely to fall out.
