Can you talk about what makes a person look average? Not ugly, but not beautiful or drop-dead gorgeous, just average. Also, give some tips for an average looking person to improve their looks.
To be honest, most people look average to me. Not ugly but not that attractive either. To me, what brings out someone's appearance and makes them, as you put it, "drop dead gorgeous" , is their personality. Not even a "good" personality or being nice. Just something about them that might draw me in.
Yes, while fascinating, let’s just keep in mind that trends may exist but at the end of the day we’re all individuals and we all prioritize different things in a partner. No one is perfect after all, and there’s only so much happiness you can get from physical beauty. Other characteristics are much more important, like loyalty, affection, connection, and commitment. Idealized beauty is great in books, tv, etc. but in the real world we all have to compromise because no one is perfect all the time. Keeping an unrealistic standard for men or women will just leave you dissatisfied with any partner in the end.
dont forget that this guy really goes into details about certain body parts which could be your insecurities but people dont actually pay that much attention
Same! It's hella interesting and I've finally found a channel covering this topic, and I want to know all this because I want to understand why I'm attracted to whom I'm attracted to. But on the other hand, it's really depressing because I have a physical deficiency and watching these videos makes me feel like shit about my own body
@Barbz nation Search up Connor Murphy reaction clips, he was roiding hard, he had a gigantic muscular physique that could only be achieved with steroids, and women were simping for him hard (again that's mostly because of his face because the face is the main factor in attraction for women), but regardless women love gigantic manly muscles
@Barbz nation i agree, muscles are attractive but not that attractive and I hate incredibly ripped men, its incredibly unsettling for me. subtle muscles are attractive but other things like personality and face are more important to me in terms of attractiveness
@@TXFlyveon same here, I also have small hands (even if they're proporzionate since I'm petite overall) so I really see a difference when I keep them longer, not super long tho because they'd not be practical
@@akajosh5330 It can be, but I agree It' s a personal preference , for example I wouldn't do super long acrylic nails, I feel they add a lot of 'weight' to the visual of hands, but I've kept my natural nails very long and I can absolutely rock them (but can't keep them because they're not practical and they'd break doing everyday life tasks 😂🙌)
I've never consciously thought about a man's hands, but now that you mention it I do notice a man's knuckles and fingernails when I think about their attractiveness
I do like hands. I like it when they're veiny, not too veiny though. However, I like both muscular hands and slender smooth hands. Hands by themselves are just a work of art and they can convey emotions by just their movement, which is kinda bizarre if you think about it. I'm personally not attracted to (men's) hands when they have clear manicure just because that reminds me of my grandpa, but beautiful nails and fingers are also important in making beautiful hands.
Qoves studio THANK YOU For saying that being muscular and ripped does NOT increase Women's attraction to men like we are told by gym bros. I'll never forget when I once heard a group of women talking and they actually laugh when saying that guys think that having a musclar ripped body can substitute for having an unattractive face. . . I honestly believe that most of us men mistake our "male power fantasies" for "female attraction fantasies." This is why more of us men are attracted to The Rock (in a non-sexual way) than women are. That is also why many men refuse to believe that a lot of women aren't attracted to The Rock because he is too bulky, something men want to be but women don't want in a partner.
Don't get confused, being muscular and ripped DOES increase women's attraction to men, but if you have an ugly face it obviously won't work, muscles can not substitute a pretty face, It will always come first. In other words, for the majority of men, being muscular and ripped WILL increase their attractiveness.
@lemonade or Jungkook from BTS he is very fit, lean and generaly strong. It is very clear that his muscles got there from being actively used vs being sculpted just to be there (might as well have nothing). He does have a black belt in taekwondo and is usualy good at things who require him to use his whole body so it makes sense that his physique is as great as it is honestly
nope u got it wrong dude.....if u hv a handsome or average face...a lean muscular body(not bulky but atheletic) DOES increase mens attractiveness towards wmen..the only time it doesnt really help is when u hv a straight up ugly face n think tht your ripped body now entirely makes up for your face
My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.
4:49 : I guess this is why Brad Pitt's physique in _Fight Club_ is regarded as ideal by many of both genders, because the emphasis is more on low body fat and angularity than sheer size.
i REALLY love slender fingers with a healthy pink/reddish hue in their knuckles and joints in both women and men. i dont know what it is but having that and wishing i had it makes it a very attractive trait for me... like anime hands are always a goal for me- nice long slender fingers with beautiful long nail beds and nude colored nails
From female friends i have heard nice hands as a positive quality of a man fairly often. Like one female friend had a date and she came home and she was like "omg his Hands were sooo beautiful"
It happened to me with my girlfriend. I asked what she noticed first in me, and since i do some moderate lifting, i was expecting some sort of muscle group. And then she mentioned my hands. I was like, is that a thing?
What about shoulder to hip ratio. I read in a study that the correlation between shr and facial attractiveness was insanely strong (0.51). Im guessing shr is the most attractive part of a mans body and is an honest signal of genetic quality and therefore correlates so strongly with facial attractiveness.
I have had multiple conversations *specifically* centring around men’s hands with many different women from different generations: my mom, my TA (she was overseeing us as we dissected dogsharks in lab and we got on the topic somehow), my best friend, the girl behind the desk at my gym etc etc etc - I’m SO surprised I hadn’t actually made the jump to noticing how universal the preoccupation all us females seem to have with male hands 😅😭
It's interesting that when it comes to male and female beauty standards, often they revolve around things that are not easy to change. When we are talking about a "slim" woman, a lot of the time we are talking about a slim woman who also has the right body type to accentuate it. With men, things you can change like how muscular you are, are not as desired as... hand features that are mostly just genetic.
Well, women have more luck - coz men largely find a bigger variety of women attractive. We like em slim, chubby, Brazilian, hourglass, ripped, short, tall, black, white, asian, medium rare, well done, everything hahaha. Basically the only two real rules a woman must follow are - her gut should NOT be big. And - dont be so skinny that there is nothing to grab on lmao. Thats it.
@@thebigbangtheoryispuregarbage Usually when i _truly_ don't care about things, I don't go out of my way to tell people that I don't care. To answer you question though, plenty of people, obviously. You, perhaps, not included.

dude fuck beauty standards. they’re hard to achieve if you’re not born with it and it’s not anything you can control at this point, so don’t be sad about it!
The end of this video really reminds me of my mother telling me: "you have perfect slender hands to play the piano" Incredible video! I never understood why I found the way how hands looked so important. This explains a lot!
Let me tell you ,as a woman , what we find attractive Yes it's hands - lean slender but still mascular with visible veins and we love when you accessorized them with watch or braclets and rings and when you hold your ciggerate or pen lightly between your fingers or play with them More than naked and buffed body , we love how your white shirt hangs on your squarish shoulders perfectly and how you fold your sleeves to show those arms Some of us like belts so that your body seem proportionate rather than those baggy tops and tights .. Some girls find Adam apple very attractive It's the body language ..gentle but still respectable , friendly but powerful , helpful but can't be taken advantage of For me it's the forehead with high brow bridge And those beautiful hooded eyes through which you penetrate your gaze
For me it's the back, a strong, straight arched back, one that I can see the way a white shirt folds it. It makes a man look so confident and reliable, just from looking at his back you know that he will hold you tight
As a kid I used to play sports and my face is filled with cuts and marks. So if I go anywhere if there is any security check post I know I'll be asked some questions where everyone simply go through the scanner and allow to leave even if I go some public place people stare me a lot. It happens a lot to me. Can you make a video how your birthmark and bruises and cuts can determine your attractiveness.
I love these videos! So fascinating to learn about! All of these videos are so informative as well as just being like a “Huh, never thought about that before”. So cool.
"One cannot fake or improve their hand-grip strength" that sounds strange to me. Look at climber Alex Honnold hands for example, I doubt that his hands would be as big or as strong if he didn't climb.
Haven't watched the video yet but giving my 2 female gaze cents! An attractive male hand starts with cleanliness i.e. short clean nails. then, finger width and length to palm and wrist ratio. Simply, the combo should be pleasing to the eyes. And lastly, the positioning and bulkiness of veins. Too much looks like a shriveled old man and too little is like a baby. When you see an attractive hand, you can almost picture getting f!ngered 😂🤣 in real time. Example: Yonashiro Sho of JO1 Edit: watched the video!! I was on point!!
Idk what to do....I have thin fingers; small length; and overall not so veiny hands....almost like a girl's. Hell most girls have slightly bigger hands than me. Is this a major turnoff?? I just feel so bad. By chance, Do you know how to increase the length and width of the fingers?
@@nebroskitheraut6705 There's no need to worry about this AT ALL. If someone likes you, they LIKE YOU! Meaning there will be other things they'll find attractive. Dating someone just for their hands is too unrealistic 😅
@@nebroskitheraut6705 Someone people will find that attractive, some won't. Your hand attractiveness should not be the deal breaker in a relationship. If it really impacts your self-esteem, by all means you should try to find a way to work on them! If not, leave them as is. Simple!

I really appreciated hands through dancing like in vogue, wacking, and tutting. I think the way people uses their hands to create shapes is mesmerizing.
I find it kind of funny how it's called hand femininity when I've seen more hand 'femininity' in men than I have women. most women I've seen have the cute, wider and shorted hands whereas most men I've met have long and slender hands, for example Ariana Grande who though has a leaner body still just has shorter hands or The Rock who although his hands have width there's still length as well. Even Victoria's Secret Angels- who I would love to see you guys do a video on- while their hands are still elegant, to me their hands aren't even the most feminine either.
I agree because I personally find long, slender, and more angular hands more attractive and masculine, and softer, more curved and shorter hands more feminine.
There's a korean youtuber who does asmr cooking who has people thirsting over him just because of his hands. So any men out there who want some simpettes, hope you have nice hands :)
East Asian men tend to have really nice hands from what I've noticed. They're always very slender in shape, vein prominent and the fingers are always delicate and quite long.
I'd like to make one small correction: grip strength can be improved. Regular weightlifting has been shown to improve grip strength, and grip strength is correlated with strength in powerlifting. This isn't all just due to genetics, since if it were, people shouldn't be able to train up to deadlifting half a ton, and my forearms wouldn't have been super sore after my last deadlifting session. The muscles that are responsible for grip strength get bigger with training as well. It's a small correction, but I thought this was worth mentioning since figuring this out gave me hope since I used to be a super scrawny couch potato who spent most of my days at a screen/desk and spent my free time playing video games. The strain of just benching on a smith machine hurt my hands when I was starting out, but now that's not a problem at all. So don't give up on grip strength! 💪
I developed my grip strength and vascular forearms when I rock climbed in middle school and have been riding the benefits of it ever since Benefits include: received a couple compliments on my arms a small handful of times in the >10 years since then.
As a gay person, the muscular perspective that gym bros think attracts women will 1000% attract more men than women. Virtually none of my straight female friends find the same men as me attractive at all 💀
1) 3:16 Hand vascularity Indicates strength, health, etc. 2) 9:28 2D:4D (second digit to fourth digit) ratio Women (must) have an elongated second digit and men have an elongated fourth digit 3) 13:05 Symmetry and proportion
Personally I don't care much for hands as long as they are clean you're good because that shows good hygiene. Smile, laugh, and voice are what's more important to me when it comes to things I find attractive other than a regular attractive face and body.
You should look at Kim Taehyung's hands, this man's hands are just so elegant yet so masculine. They are like art, every finger in his hand is just so perfectly sculpted it's insane.
7:10 Well swimmers have naturally huge frames (as in their skeleton is large) with very broad shoulders and generally large torso and ribcage, being also very tall. So it's quite misleading to say that a swimmers body is ideal when the average man with similar body fat and muscle percentages would look nothing like them.
but still it doesnt take away from the fact tht a swimmers body is ideal..coz women do like men with tht v taper body..but not to bulky..he should be attheltic n swimmers r a perfect example
this might be because I'm a butch lesbian into other butch lesbians, but I've never found slender fingers nor insanely vascular hands all that attractive. for me it's all about how she uses them (not even in a sexual way, how graceful is she? how fluid are her movements?). 100% agree with the skin care thing though, as a climber my hands would be extremely dry from chalk and the air in the gym if I didn't take care of them so I appreciate a girl who takes care of her hands.
I love nicely groomed male hands. I love the veins. Depending the way the veins look. I love when they have nice skin, like when they use hand cream and such.
I got 2 take aways from this video 1 is that grip strength is highly genetic so the Vice Claw from Kuroko no Basket being a special ability is realistic~ & 2 woman are weird
@@carolinpurayidom4570 why is this getting thumbs up none of you understand this reference XD But yes I'm mostly joking, really all attraction is weird if you think about it long enough. Life is weird.
I sadly don't have much vascularity in my hands. when I'm on the leaner side, most of my vascularity is in my biceps, abdominals, and quads - if any of you can relate, we can still do things like keep nails groomed, wear rings, wear bracelets, etc.. Also as a gym bro, I can attest that most of my garnered attention is male based :)
lol that last bit was quite funny for me because I am a female with quite square and masculin hands, but I play the violin and the piano, but then again I also do martial arts so idk i am a mix and you wouldn't be able to tell by my hands
