Not only are there space and weight savings because of the Integrated transmit and receive chain, an AESA system provides opportunity for many performance improvements over a mechanically scanned radar antenna. This video discusses a couple of them.
The high movement speed of the antenna beam allows fast scanning, and keeping the beam still during acquisition which improves spatial resolution. Also, this fast movement speed allow tracking spatially separated targets without scan degradation.
Additionally, the option to operate with multiple simultaneous beams becomes a possibility with AESA system. In this case, multiple targets can be tracked continuously, rather than interlacing between them.
With Duotech’s ARES radar, we can help to determine the functionality optimized for your requirements. duotechservices...

In what way does this IAesi radar increase visibility compared to say..ordinery binoculars ?

What's the advantage of putting an AESA radar on a moving platform, like what was done to the Euroradar CAPTOR of the Eurofighter?

The closer to the edge the target is the lower the resolution is. Moving the radar for tracking allows extremely high resolution and variably frequency tracking.

How does the capability differ from Pesa?

AESA: each module can create separate signals (frequency, modulation etc.) -> can create several beams that are directed at different directions simultaneously PESA: modules are controlled by a single computer -> can create only one beam at a time the beam steering principle is the same using phase shifted signals from each element of the antenna.

Can your company fit ARES radar to L159?

its time to simplify unwieldy acronyms, active implicitly means an array radar, and the electronic scanning is also implicit. Its no like the SPS-48 which could only scan up or down, rely on rotation for the full view. An active array might still rotate to provide 360-coverage with a single (sometimes two) panels. So we could just say: Active Radar, with array and electronic scanning being implicit. It might help to say whether it is a 1, 2, 3 or 4 panel Active radar.
