The part of boardgames that can be addictive can certainly apply to almost anything that a person collects in a similar way. Maybe it's a trading card game where someone is looking for very rare cards or new packs, or maybe (like me) a person plays tabletop games with miniatures where the same urge to get something bigger and newer is built into the system even more so than with most boxed games. I can 100% relate to buying things impulsively or because of not wanting to miss out on the feelings that come with having something new and interacting with a community of people that share the same thing together. Altogether this video was an interesting little discussion with a some very fun gameplay, so thank you!

I can never have too many minis... Huge problem for the painter inside me, but the collector inside me loves it

So many valid points that I somehow can relate to :P Thank you so much for this insightful video! Particularly the promises a board game holds until I can get it played is the poison for me ^^ I am slowly stepping down because the humungous boxes that keep being delivered form purchases 3 years ago kind of quench my thirst for more. Unboxing stuff, sleeving cards, punching out and sorting tokens is still a pleasure as is imagining the game night to bring it out. ^^ The journey taught me FOMO is real and I am not immune to it :P Not every game works out in the end and receiving things that did not meet expectations can truely leave a sour taste. Computer games luckily never held the same lure for me as a tactile board or card games. Love to sit around a table with real people ^^

Good video man. Enjoyed hearing your thoughts on addiction and watching a pog run. In the future feel free to leave the disclaimer that you aren’t a professional at the beginning without feeling like you have to repeat it multiple times. God speed.
