They're not afraid to let you say your unfiltered opinion because they know it's good because the game is good. Coromon is one of the best monster tamers in a hot minute.
excited for just about everything in this game. the fact that we'll see even more cool monsters then now and hearing potentially even better music makes me incredibly hype.
I do like, that they’re not alien to look at. I haven’t really delved into Pokémon since I was a kid, except the occasional nostalgic reruns. When Pokémon goes beyond 3gen (and I can barely take that), it gets whacky really fast. This is pretty grounded! I like it. I may give it a whirl.
played a bit of the demo of this game and I'm really liking it so far! the art is lovely and the game is such a "feel good" game overall, lot's of coromon have some really interesting traits so far. they just need to speed up the battle a little, and actually distribute some good moves to the coromon, lot's of them like Lunarpup suffer from flareon syndrome, where they even have cool status, but the lack of moves make then just being super bad, the guy can do nothing but I really REALLY love the out of battle gauntlet skill thing, like the golden sun hand to push things, it's make dungeons and puzzle really interesting, and more RPGs should have mechanics like this, even good RPG nowadays have boring dungeons for the lack of interesting gimmicks

The game looks great! the only thing that seems a bit odd is the color change for Coromon from standard, potent and perfect because what if we really like the color of the lower ones but its not the strongest version of it.
They have a system were you can change your stronger coromon to the lower versions. So if you like the standart version of a coromon that you own as a perfect you can decide the change its appearance to the lower version (stats stay perfect).
Coromon I in my top 3 most anticipated games this year. Next to Cult of the Lamb & Elden Ring. And I'm still deciding if I want to play in PC or Mobile
I really hope they eventually introduce grass types. I love grass and nature themed typing in monster tamer games. There’s so much potential and room for growth I’m very excited
Excited to play this game, tho I still think Air should be a main typing rather than just offense-only. Lol. But that's really my only real criticism of what I've seen of the game, so that's a good sign. :)
Letssssgoooooo Ed getting those Sponsorships 😤😤😤😤💚🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 we coming my guy!!!!!! I’m so in love with Coromon I feel like a cheating housewife with Pokémon lol this is everything I want for a new Monster Taming 😍😍😍
Dude I'm actually so excited for this cant wait to get it. Just hope it's not too expensive bc I played for battlefield and they wouldnt let me refund it ;-; lmao
Really awesome stuff, I was worried about the potential system but it seems a "potent" will be enough for a reasonable PVP experience, my worry was that you would need perfect to be competitive, but it seems like its just a small boost.
ive just finished nexomon extinction, cant wait for corromon full release. but do you know what monster taming games that has a huge variety of monsters that u can catch?
Do you need to pay for the whole game when it comes out? I have been playing it in mobile and it says that this is where the demo ends after I try to get to that swamp
I wouldn't say Coromon's potential system is objectively better than Pokemon's. While it addresses the issue of weak/sub-optimal shinies, it makes things quite difficult for players who want to optimize their team and who prefer the colors of the weaker forms. Many players really dislike knowing they could use something better but aren't. Having a Coromon's color scheme tell you there could always be a better version of that Coromon would really wear away at a player like this. Additionally, it still has the same issues of making certain Coromon objectively weaker than others. It's merely a different way of going about the system.
I have to say I disagree with this potential / IV system - not that you should change it or that the implementation is flawed, because I think that the implementation is great, but by having some coromon that are better than other coromon of the same type, it incentivizes players who want to play competitively to grind until they find the highest value coromon. Maybe this is what you're aiming for and that's fine, and as long as the system is implemented well it'll work good. My own personal idea is to have a limited number of 'points' you can use to specialize in a given attribute, and the wild creatures you encounter can come pre-specialized with more or less points unlocked. Then you can set training goals for your creature, to move say all of the attack points into speed. Every time you use a speedy move, it takes an attack point away and puts it on the speed attribute. This way, we still get diversity in creature encounters, and differing roles, but I can still train my first one / favourite to competitive battles, and if I want to change up the tactic, I can still do that, but it does require training effort to achieve.
So basically, if I understood correctly, we should all hunt for the perfect version of each of the coromon we use in order to unleash their full potential? Then what's the point of the potent version? I think that, if people are going to hunt for rarity, they may as well hunt for the very best of the lot.
Well I mean you'll run into potents wayyy more often than perfects so there's still utility in grabbing them for in game. For comp you'll want perfects tho
@@GymLeaderEd I see, they probably work best for people who want a bit of challenge in game and don't want to spend too much time hunting. Sounds good. Also, take care! :)
I can understand IVs/EVs being implemented the way they were in Gen 1 since maybe hardware constraints required them to make it that way. What I don't understand is why Pokemon continues to use such an outdated, unfriendly system. I even feel like GameFreak has acknowledged how archaic those systems are since they added the EV training minigames in later generations. I really wish Pokemon would adopt something like Coromon's potental system. I'm pretty sure 99% of of players would rejoice if the entire IV/EV system was completely axed in favor of a system that lets you assign stat points manually.
@@GymLeaderEd sadly no. Only way may be available as in a gift card from target or best buy. Switch really needs to make gifts happen. Ah well. Hopefully there's a physical release cause I've been waiting for it.
*I really wanted those monster taming to look less pokemon like n more unique, the angle, the art style, the mechanics, it all looks too much pokemon to me n make them look like a fan game*
I gotta say I highly disagree! But at the end of the day art is subjective and our own unique perspectives on these types of games is what makes community discussion so interesting! Thanks for the comment!
This potential system seems easier to work with but the pokemon EV system I think was letting us reflect where and what environment you trained in dictates what strengths your dude gets. So training on streets or forest ends up with a different stat set up than training at a mountain or at sea. From a RP perspective this was really really cool.
